SHARON LEE DIBELLO
Sharon Lee DiBello, 55, Richmond, died Saturday, August 11, 2007, at her home. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Richmond Cemetery, Richmond.
She was born July 24, 1952, at St. Louis, Mo., to James L. and Janifer (Sells) Dorsey.
She attended grade schools in St. Louis, Mo.; Charleston, N.C.; Savannah, Ga.; and Boston, Mass. She graduated from high school in 1970 at Uniontown. She attended Fort Scott Community College at Fort Scott; Murray State University at Murray, Ky.; and Neosho County Community College, Iola.
She enjoyed painting Native American Indians and animals.
She was a freelance artist and children's book illustrator.
She married
Bruce Desselle. They divorced. She later married
Ralph DiBello. He preceded her in death May 1981.
Survivors include a son, Matthew DiBello, Richmond; her mother, of Richmond; her father and his wife, Mary, Olathe; a brother, Larry Dorsey, and his wife, Nancy, Altamont; sisters, Jetta Dorsey, Olathe, and Rebecca Dorsey, Richmond; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She also was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Jetta Sells.

GLEN W. CALLAHAN
Glen W. Callahan, 65, Garnett, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at his home. He was born March 11, 1942, to Tom and Violet (Sanders) Callahan at Tuckerman, Ark.
Glen graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Mo., with the class of 1960. Glen's family moved to Independence, Mo., and then to the Pomona, Kan., area in 1960. As a young couple, he and his wife moved to Missouri for a year and then came back to Kansas and settled in Wellsville where they lived for 14 years. They lived in Louisburg and LaCygne for a period of time and then moved back to Missouri before returning to Kansas in 1993 and moved to Garnett in 2003.
He worked for Pepsi Cola and Delco Battery for several years. He then worked as a finishing carpenter and then for American Family as an insurance agent from 1980 to 1986. He also worked for Ronoco Coffee Company and from there went back into construction work as a finishing carpenter. He worked for the Franklin County Transfer Station before becoming disabled in 1998.
He had a love for country and gospel music. He and his wife had a country band called "The Country Roamers" for 13 years. For five years while living in Missouri, he and his wife did gospel singing. He was an avid baseball fan and loved playing baseball with his sons, nephews and nieces. He always had a ball glove in the trunk of his car.
On February 19, 1961, Glen was united in marriage with Carol Ann Sleichter at the Greenwood Baptist Church in Franklin County. She survives of the home.
Survivors also include sons, Rob Callahan, and his wife, Donita, Ottawa, and Ron Callahan, and his wife, Kelly, Osawatomie; a sister, Joyce Clark, and her husband, Clinton, LaCygne; and grandsons, Tommy Callahan and Sean Callahan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet (Sanders) Callahan, and his father, Tom Callahan.
A memorial service will be held at the Dengel & Son Mortuary 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007. Family will meet with friends following the service.
Cremation is planned.

THOMAS "TOM" "TOMMY" MILLER
Thomas "Tom" "Tommy" Miller, 47, Pomona, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1960, at Maywood, Calif., to Barton and Sybil (Moore) Miller.
He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1977.
He worked in the grounds maintenance department at Baker University in the 1990s.
He married
Brenda Schielke Johnson in 1988 at Yucaipa, Calif. They divorced.
Survivors include daughters, Stephanie Miller, of the home, Danielle Miller, Ottawa, and Kimberly Miller, Queen Creek, Ariz.; two aunts, a great-uncle and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Miller.
Family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

ROBERT EUGENE SIPE
Gene Sipe, 88, Ottawa, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton.
He was born April 6, 1919, in Logan County, Okla., to Robert Bruce and Bessie Jane (Decker) Sipe.
He grew up in Logan County, Okla. He moved to Long Beach, Calif., in 1942; Bakersfield, Calif., in 1943; Atascadero, Calif., in 1963; Williamsburg in 1977; and Ottawa in 1992.
He graduated from Meridian High School, Meridian, Okla., in 1938.
He served in the United States Army as a rifle instructor.
He was a member of the Homewood Christian Church and the American Legion in Williamsburg.
He worked as an iron worker for Union No. 155, Fresno, Calif., from 1942 until he retired in 1984. He also worked for Mo/Kan Iron Workers Union.
He married
Marvel Lowery Dec. 6, 1939, at Guthrie, Okla. She survives.
Survivors also include daughters, Barbara Ruyle, Williamsburg, Viola O'Day, Salina, and Carolyn Corgan, Ava, Mo.; a son, Archie Sipe, Caliente, Calif.; a sister, Melba Haight, Escondido, Calif.; grandchildren, Missy Adamson, Kelly Hutchins, Michael Plowman, Phillip Plowman, Curtis Plowman, Sheila Twaroski, Archie Sipe, Darlene Urbanski, Travis Sipe and Diana Sipe; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard Sipe and Archie Sipe; and sisters, Ruby Millard and Cindy Saffle.

DELENA "FRANKIE" CASADY
DeLena "Frankie" Casady, 84, Grove, Okla., died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at Ottawa Retirement Village, Ottawa, after an extended illness. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, 711 S. Main St., Grove, Okla.
She was born June 26, 1923, at Wynnewood, Okla., to Frank and Ollie (Nix) Conway.
Her family moved to Cheyenne, Okla., where they lived for several years.
She was a member of First Christian Church Bible study class, Gospel Gals of Grove and several bridge clubs. She was also a member of the Republican Women's Club and the Women of the Moose.
She loved to grow beautiful flowers. She served her community wherever she was needed. She organized fashion shows, suppers, bake sales, cookouts and voter polling booths.
She was a homemaker and a partner with her husband in farming, oil production and custom oil well drilling.
She married
Paul Casady Dec. 22, 1940. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1997.
Survivors include a son, John (Terry) Casady and his wife Joy, Wellsville; a daughter-in-law, Pam (Casady) Leitnaker, and her husband, Tom, Ottawa; grandsons, Clay Edward Casady, and his wife, Ashley, Bentonville, Ark., and John Earl Casady, Ottawa; brothers, Bill Conway, and wife, Marilyn, Jim Conway, Charles (Choc) Conway, and his wife, Gail, and sisters, Martha Jo Musgrove, Mertie McKee, and her husband, Shannon, Sharion Cooper, and her husband, Ray, Peggy Luckett, and her husband, Jim; and many nieces and nephews and their families; and her husband's nephews, Lee Dean, and his wife, Stephanie, and Roger Dean, and his wife, Betty, and their children and grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell F. Casady July 30, 2001.

MABEL ALICE (CHRISTIE) SETTERS
Mabel Alice (Christie) Setters, 97, Ottawa, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at the Richmond Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Richmond. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.
She was born June 12, 1910, at Madison, Okla., to James P.F. and Clara Mae (Harrison) Christie.
She grew up in rural Wellsville and Ottawa.
She graduated from Salem Hall School, Franklin County.
She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church. She was active in the Royal Neighbors, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4-H, Ottawa Senior Center, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eagles Auxiliary.
She worked as a cook at the Ottawa school district and Polly's Drive-Inn. She worked as a baker for the Ideal Food Store, Garden City. She also worked at the care center in Burlington and at Pence's IGA, Ottawa.
She married
George Thomas Setters July 17, 1926. They shared more than 58 years of marriage. He preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1984.
Survivors include sons, Tommy Setters, and his wife, Dee, Ottawa, and John Setters, and his wife, Rena, Snellville, Ga.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She also was preceded in death by sons, Leo and Lewis Setters; a daughter, Charmaine Setters; brothers, John and Frank Christie; sisters, Alma West, Anna Bell and Corrine Cranor; and a grandson, Teddy Setters.
Burial will be at the Hope Cemetery, Ottawa.

Franklin L. Ritch, 44, Baldwin City, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at his home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Osawatomie Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 15, 1962, at Ottawa to Walker F. Ritch and Alice (Carpenter) Ritch Fry.
He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1981.
Survivors include daughters, Melanie Avis, Independence, Mo., and Courtney Ritch, Thayer; a son, Joshua Ritch, California; a stepson, Josh McIntier, Thayer; his mother, Alice Fry, Greenwood, Mo.; sisters, Tanya Ashley, Parker, Jacque Kreusch, Baldwin City, Julie Hall, Greenwood, Mo.; brothers, Eric Ritch, Hillsdale, and Justin Ritch, Osawatomie; two granddaughters and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, James William Ritch.
