Roy E. Pitts
NEW IBERIA, La. - Roy Earl Pitts, 80, died Jan. 21, 2000, at his home in New Iberia.
He was born May 22, 1919, at Jetmore, the son of Charles Harold and Sarah Freerksen Pitts. He graduated from Dodge City High School. He was a retired technician from Ashland Chemical, New Iberia.
On August 12, 1957, he married
Lora Jean McCord at Borger, Texas. She died June 8, 1999.
Survivors include: a son, Mike, New Iberia, La.; five brothers, Lloyd H., Franklin, La., Carl. R., Mountain Home, Ark., Forest J., Charles H., and Orrin L., all of Hutchinson; and a sister, Cleo M. Loesch, Booker, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy; a daughter, Nancy; and a brother, Leo R.

Dwayne Clark Teichmann
GREAT BEND - Dwayne Clark Teichmann, 67, died Jan. 26, 2000, at Central Kansas Medical Center, St. Rose Campus, Great Bend.
He was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Stafford County, the son of Oscar and Lena J. Beuttel Teichmann. A Great Bend resident since 1962, moving from Grants, N.M., he was a real estate broker and certified appraiser for Rowland Real Estate and Appraising Agency, Great Bend.
He attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. He was a member of the Great Bend Board of Realtors, Kansas Association of Realtors, the Kansas Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Sept. 17, 1966, he married
Joyce M. Hickel at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, David A., Great Bend; two daughters, Melody Peintner, Duncan, Okla., and Suzanne Calvert, Wichita; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellsworth and Virgil.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with Father Charles Mazouch presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

Alice Rosella Schoor
GARDEN CITY - Alice Rosella Schoor, 76, died Jan. 25, 2000, at Terrace Garden Care Center, Garden City.
She was born April 4, 1923, at Garden City, the daughter of Claude Forrest and Effie Jane Moody McQueen. A longtime Garden City resident, moving from Holcomb, she was a homemaker and a nurse's aide at St. Catherine Hospital for more than 20 years before retiring.
She belonged to Church of the Brethren, Garden City, the Christian Motorcycle Association and served as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.
On Aug. 2, 1942, she married
Harry E. Schoor at Garden City. He died Dec. 11, 1996.
Survivors include: a son, George Mitchell, Garden City; a daughter, Ellen Irene Leighty, Aurora, Colo.; two brothers, William "Bill" McQueen, Garden City, and Donald McQueen, Alamosa, Colo.; two sisters, Gladys Wagner, Garden City, and Mary Jane Martinez, San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude Jr. and Warren McQueen.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Brethren, Garden City, with Pastor Gary Meeks presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.

Kenneth D. `Ken' Bennitt
McPHERSON - Kenneth D. "Ken" Bennitt, 56, died Jan. 27, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Oct. 10, 1943, at Buchanan, Mich., the son of Paul L. and Minnie E. Stombaugh Bennitt. A McPherson resident since 1965, moving from Salina, he owned and operated K.C. Trucking for 10 years, and was currently working as a truck driver for McPherson Concrete Products, where he had been employed for more than 28 years.
He belonged to First Christian Church, McPherson, and was a U. S. Air Force veteran.
On Nov. 29, 1964., he married
Cheryl J. Hamblin at McPherson. She survives.
Other survivors include: his parents of Bremen, Ind.; two daughters, Cheri Lyn Gumm and Amy Diane Flaming, both McPherson; two brothers, Jack and Bob, both of Bremen; four sisters, Connie Hummel, Palmer, Alaska, Barbara Kintzel, Warsaw, Ind., Pam Zeiger and Karen Dillon, both of Bremen; and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at First Christian Church, McPherson, with the Revs. Neil Engle, Jill Cameron, and Lewis McPherren presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Lloyd Edward Mucklow
GREENSBURG - Lloyd Edward Mucklow, 75, died Jan. 27, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 5, 1924, at Bloomington, Neb., the son of Lloyd Thomas and Mable Losey Mucklow. A Greensburg resident, formerly of Goodland, Garden City, Larned and Colorado Springs, he was a retired sergeant with the Kansas Highway Patrol.
He belonged to First Baptist Church, Greensburg, and was a former member of the Veterans of the Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On July 18, 1942, he married
Dathel Rawson at Ardmore, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include: five daughters, Judy Haight, Colorado Springs, Jayna Kendall, Lewis, Debbie Hewitt, Greensburg, Marie Thompson, Newton, and Vickie Matthews, Larned; three sisters, Donna Short and Loa Dee Vencill, both of Fort Collins, Colo., and Connie Townsend, Colorado Springs; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Marvin Alley presiding. Inurnment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg.

Alfred E. `Al' Flores
LIBERAL - Alfred E. "Al" Flores, 60, died Jan. 25, 2000, at Liberal.
He was born Feb. 5, 1939, at Arkalon, the son of Alfonso and Genivia Ulibarri Flores. He attended Liberal schools. A Liberal resident since 1942, he worked for National Helium Corp., Liberal, was a security guard for five years at Larned State Hospital and a maintenance person at Western Ho Motel.
He belonged to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal.
In 1959, he married
Diana Doerfler at Liberal. He later married
Jean Agee at Liberal in 1974.
Survivors include: two sons, Tony, Wichita, and Marty, Liberal; a daughter, Bridgett Flores, Liberal; four brothers, Alfonso, Phoenix, and Joe, Dick, and Claude, all of Liberal; five sisters, Ida Mae Lara, Wichita, Rosella Arellano, Newton, Teresa Humphery and Marie McNabb, both of Liberal, and Milinda Compuzano, McAllen, Texas; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Welcoming of the body will be at 3 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary, Liberal, from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church, and 8 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.
