Anna C. Harms
MOUNDRIDGE - Anna C. Harms, 99, died Jan. 26, 2000, at Moundridge Manor.
She was born Oct. 16, 1900, northwest of Buhler, the daughter of John L. and Margaretha Klassen Thiessen. A longtime rural Goessel resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church.
On Sept. 21, 1919, she married
William W. Harms. He died Sept. 27, 1980.
Survivors include: four sons, Wilmer and Richard, both of North Newton, Marvin, Newton, and Verden, Hillsboro; a sister, Elfrieda Thomas, Omaha; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Tim Sullivan presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, Goessel. The family will be present to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be at 5 p.m. Saturday in Springfield Cemetery, near Lehigh.

Glenn Eldon Bruington
CHENEY - Glenn Eldon Bruington, 66, died Jan. 26, 2000, at his home.
He was born July 12, 1933, at Independence, the son of Percy and Ida Mitchell Bruington. A Cheney resident, he was a repair man and operator for Gas Pipeline Co.
He belonged to United Methodist Church, Cheney, and served in the U.S. Army.
On July 19, 1957, he married
Lois Bruington at Neodesha. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Lori Kerr, Wichita; three brothers, Edwin and Gerald, both of Independence, and Harold, Joplin, Mo.; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Cheney, with Dr. Terry McGuire presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Lanterman Funeral Home, Cheney. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cheney.

Gertrude E. Borden
LIBERAL - Gertrude E. Borden, 80, died Jan. 19, 2000, at Beaver County Nursing Home, Beaver, Okla.
She was born April 23, 1919, at Shattuck, Okla., the daughter of Emil J. and Bessie M. Howard Shanske. She graduated from Darrouzett, Texas High School in 1938. A Liberal resident since 1950, moving from Beaver, she was homemaker.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Society, Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge, the Kil-Kare Club and was a life member of the Veterans of the Foreign Wars Lane Day Post No. 3166 Ladies Auxiliary, all at Liberal.
On Aug. 16, 1942, she married
Roy I. Borden at Beaver. He survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Elizabeth Koehn and Royanna Jean Borden, both of Liberal, and Donna Sue McGee, Cloudcroft, N.M.; two sisters, Ruth May, Beaver, and Dorothy Wilson, Paramont, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruthie Lacy; and a brother.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Liberal, will the Rev. Donna McGee and Larry Howell presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary, Liberal. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.
Louise Elizabeth Steinert
GREAT BEND - Louise Elizabeth Steinert, 90, died Jan. 19, 2000, at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend.
She was born Aug. 22, 1909, at Bison, the daughter of Harvey Robert and Grace Maude Crotinger Timken. A Great Bend resident since 1934, moving from Bison, she was a partner in Steinert's Furniture and Appliance Store, and a former elementary school teacher in Bison.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church.
On Aug. 19, 1934, she married
Leo Steinert at Bison. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Dale Leo, Great Bend; a daughter, Norma Lee Moffet, Overland Park; a sister, Dorothy Rebecca O'Connell, Great Bend; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Great Bend, with the Rev. Dick Near presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend, with the family present to receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

Harold J. Lundgren
GOVE - Harold J. Lundgren, 90, died Jan. 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 19, 1909, in Gove County, the son of Edward J. and Huldah C. Lewis Lundgren. He attended Gove County Schools and was a farmer and stockman.
He belonged to Modern Woodmen of America, Gove United Methodist Church, the Senior Citizen Center, the Kansas State Historical Society, was clerk for Jerome Township, was a board member on the ASCS Board and the Gove County Co-op Board, and was a 40-year member of the Kansas Livestock Association.
On June 12, 1935, he married
Vera Jennison in rural Healy. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Larry J. and Darrel J., both of Gove; a daughter, Sheila G. Beougher, Gove; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Ralph L. and an infant brother, Richard; and a sister, Angeline Williamson Rose.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at Gove United Methodist Church, Gove, with the Rev. Paul Woodall presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter. Burial will be in the Gove Cemetery.

Jack F. Hall
PEABODY - Jack F. Hall, 89, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Peabody Community Living Center.
He was born June 4, 1910, at Thedford, Neb., the son of Charles A. and Opal Pearl Steele Hall. He was the retired sales manager for L.B. Price Mercantile Co., serving many towns in the midwest.
He belonged to First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 142, both at Newton.
In the early thirties, he married
Marie Adella Janzen. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: a brother, Bill Hall, Newton; a sister, Mary Frances Krauskopf, Santa Barbara, Calif.; nine grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by a son, Loran Eugene Sr., and a daughter, Joan Hall-Ramsey.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with the Rev. Alden Dick presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
