DODGE CITY - Irma M. Ohmes, 70, died Feb. 9, 2000, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Gladys M. Harding
LIBERAL - Gladys M. Harding, 91, died Feb. 10, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.
She was born March 26, 1908, at Gerald, Mo., the daughter of Samuel T. and Sarah F. Smith Hibler. She attended school at Friends. She farmed and owned and operated a grocery store in Woods for several years with her husband and worked at Ray's Grill.
On March 29, 1929, she married
Hugh Harding at Friends. He died Feb. 11, 1974.
Survivors include: five daughters, Phyllis Bromwell, Joy Elmore and Rose Hopewell, all of Liberal, Bonnie Schenkel, Great Bend, and Carole Lightle, Stratton, Colo.; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; a stepson and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church, Liberal, with Dr. L.K. Landis and the Rev. Bill Prater presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary, Liberal. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Fellowship Baptist School, in care of the mortuary.
Bronislawa Wrede
LINDSBORG - Bronislawa Wrede, 88, died Feb. 10, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1911, at Posen, Poland, the daughter of Ignacy and Amalie Bogaletzki Gaworzewski. A Lindsborg resident since 1997, formerly of Berlin, Germany, she was a retired hospital nurse.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
On March 3, 1939, she married
Hans Christian Heinrich Wrede at Berlin. He died Sept. 25, 1975.
Survivors include: two daughters, Gisela Holk, Lindsborg, and Edda Davey, Huntington Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Willie and Alfons Buthe, both of Berlin; a sister, Wanda Schuch, Berlin; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Smoky Hill Cemetery, rural Lindsborg, with the Rev. Dr. Victoria Brundage presiding. There will be no visitation.
Hays Funeral Home, Lindsborg, is in charge of arrangements.
Donald Earl Kingsley
DALHART, Texas - Donald Earl Kingsley, 47, died Feb. 9, 2000, at Coon Memorial Hospital, Dalhart, Texas.
He was born at Dodge City, the son of James and Cleo Kingsley. He graduated from Jetmore High School and attended Pittsburgh College, Pittsburgh, and St. Mary of the Plains College, Dodge City, where he received his degree in business and accounting. A Dalhart resident since 1995, formerly of Plains, he worked at Fowler Equity for many years and Dalhart Consumers.
He belonged to Plains Friends Church.
On June 8, 1974, he married
Linda Neal. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Casey Ames, Guymon, Okla.; parents, Ford; a sister, Belinda Plowman, Dodge City; a grandson; and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mandi Lynn Freeman; and a brother, David Eugene.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Plains Friends Church, with Pastor Dan Bicrnacki presiding. Burial will be in Plains Cemetery.

Lola Pearl Base
KINGMAN - Lola Pearl Base, 87, died Feb. 8, 2000, at Harper District Hospital.
She was born Dec. 23, 1912, at Murdock, the daughter of Harvey and Effie Moorhouse Beshore. A lifetime Kingman County resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Church of the First born and the Basil Club, Kingman County.
On April 9, 1935, she married
Leonard C. Base at Anthony. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Clifton, Rago, and Clinton, Ness City; two brothers, Lyle, Kingman, and Ray, Murdock; a sister, Theda Davis, Murdock; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hunt Cemetery, rural Kingman County.

Janna Marie Decker Edgar
WICHITA - Janna Marie Decker Edgar, 40, died Feb. 2, 2000, at Wichita.
She was born Jan. 17, 1960, at Newton, the daughter of Glennon and Julia Decker. She attended Newton schools, graduated from Hesston High School, and was a graduate of Wichita State University. She was a self-employed accountant.
She belonged to Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Wichita.
On Dec. 27, 1980, she married
David Edgar at Hesston. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Josh, of the home; three daughters, Jessica, Justina and Jennifer, all of the home; her parents, Sun City West, Ariz.; three brothers, Michael, Englewood, Colo., Bradley, The Colony, Texas, and Terry, Hesston; a sister, DeAnna Craig, Gulfport, Miss.; and grandparents, Alva and Francis Decker, Newton.
Memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Wichita.

PLAINS - Lenora Ballard, 84, died Feb. 7, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus, Wichita.

Catherine Lorraine Baughman
EL DORADO - Catherine Lorraine Baughman, 67, died Feb. 8, 2000, at her home.
She was born Dec. 6, 1932, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel McKedy Hill. She graduated from Haven High School and attended Butler County Community College. An El Dorado resident for more than 38 years, moving from Medicine Lodge, she was a dispatcher for the city of El Dorado, Butler County, and the Highway Patrol for 32 years.
She belonged to First Christian Church, the Andrina Chapter Order of Eastern Star, and the Kansas Peace Officers Association.
On March 15, 1953, she married
Wayne I. Baughman at Haven. He died March 2, 1990.
Survivors include: two sons, Wayne, Hutchinson, and Roger, El Dorado; a daughter, Cindy Patrick, New Orleans; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, El Dorado. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery.
