Troy Price `Toots' Hayes
Troy Price "Toots" Hayes, 83, died Jan. 22, 2000, at his home in Hutchinson.

Funeral arrangements are pending, and will be announced by Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Samuel A. Bolin
CANTON - Samuel A. Bolin, 87, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born May 27, 1912, at Holiday, Okla., the son of Samuel Arthur Sr. and Blanche Coldren Bolin. A Canton resident for 44 years, moving from Oklahoma City, he was a retired co-owner of Canton Equipment Co. and Bolin Equipment Co. Lyons, and a retired banker.

He belonged to Canton United Methodist Church, the Canton Lions Club and Canton Senior Citizens, served on the board of directors and held a number of offices at State Bank of Canton, was a 50-year member and past master of the Canton and McPherson Masonic Lodge, and was a former mayor and city councilman, and a Fair Association board member.

On Aug. 15, 1941, he married Elma Elsie Emerson at Oklahoma City. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Clyde L., McCook, Neb.; a brother, Roy O., Gentry, Ark.; a sister, Martha Margaret Hunt, San Bernardino, Calif; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Canton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sandy DesPlas presiding. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Olson's Mortuary, Canton. Burial will be in Canton Township Cemetery, with Masonic rites by the McPherson Masonic Lodge.

Memorials may be sent to the church or the Kansas Masonic Home, Wichita, both in care of the mortuary.

Donald S. Horsch
COLWICH - Donald S. Horsch, 73, died Jan. 21, 2000, at Wichita.

He was born near Andale, the son of Mathias and Barbara Horsch. A longtime Colwich resident, he was the former owner of Kadons Dry Goods Store, Colwich, and was a former Montgomery-Ward department manager.

He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich, and Knights of Columbus Council No. 9510. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Survivors include: his wife, Kathleen; four sons, Kevin, Pretty Prairie, Brian, LeCompton, Steven, Mount Hope, and Anthony, Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Suzanne Vaughn, Andale; a brother, Elmer, Andale; two sisters, Sister Romana, Wichita, and Delphina Reichenberger, Mount Hope; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marcellus "Mark"; and a sister, Almeda Patry Nilles.

Rosaries will be at 4 and 7 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the Priest Retirement Fund, Diocese of Wichita, 424 North Broadway, Wichita, 67202.

Paul A. Wolf
HUGOTON - Paul A. Wolf, 79, died Jan. 21, 2000, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton.

Agnes Hill
DODGE CITY - Agnes Hill, 97, former longtime Dodge City resident, died Jan. 22, 2000, at Woodlands Health Care Center, Woodlands, Texas.

She was born March 24, 1902, in Pratt County, the daughter of Frank L. and Florinda Yadon Green. She earned her pharmacy degree from the Denver Institute of Pharmacology in 1931.

She belonged to First United Methodist Church for more than 60 years and the Garden Club, both at Dodge City, was a charter member of the Dodge City Saddle Club and was active in the PTA for many years.

In 1932, she married C.R. Hill. He died in 1965.

Survivors include: a son, William F., Spring, Texas; a daughter, Patricia Mullikin, Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. No services are planned.

Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 210 Soule St. Dodge City, 67801.

Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, is in charge of arrangements.

Hubert `Eddie' Parks
BURRTON - Hubert "Eddie" Parks, 62, of Burrton, died Jan. 20, 2000, at his home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1937, at Wichita, the son of Franklin "Dode" and Ruby L. Bogart Parks. A Burrton resident since 1987, he was a construction worker and owned and operated HEP Trucking Co.

He married Delores Bolieu. They later divorced.Survivors include: parents, Salina; and other relatives.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Bethel Cemetery, rural Abilene, with the Rev. Virgil Eubanks presiding. Friends may call until service time Monday at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, Abilene.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.

Doris Madeline Brackett
WEBSTER, Texas - Doris Madeline Brackett, 100, formerly of Hutchinson, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Webster, Texas.

She was born Nov. 22, 1899, at Leominster, Mass., the daughter of Irving and Minnie Kemp Look.

Survivors include: two sons, Raymond, Hutchinson, and Richard, Houston; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a son, Donald; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held in Webster, with interment in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Jack Rowe Funeral Home, League City, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard B. `Dick' Randle
PRATT - Richard B. "Dick" Randle, 91, died Jan. 21, 2000, at Friendship Manor, Pratt.

He was born Sept. 26, 1908, at Pratt, the son of Charles R. and Alma Brown Randle. A Pratt resident for most of his life, he was a career officer in the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1942 to 1968. He was a personnel officer and intelligence officer, serving during World War II and the Korean War. His tours of duty included Guam, Germany and Japan. After retirement he worked for the U. S. Post Office and the Fire Department for several years, and was also a farmer.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Elks, the Retired Officers Association and was a former commander of the American Legion, all at Pratt.

On Feb. 27, 1942, he married Josephine S. Young. She died in March 1978. On Sept. 29, 1979, he married Mae Vaught Davis at Pratt. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Roger C. Davis, Alliance, Neb.; a daughter, Susan Doyle, Sandy Hook, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Kristi Davis, Chadron, Neb., and Brian Davis, Lincoln, Neb.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herb Randle.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at First United Methodist Church, Pratt, with the Rev. Kendall Utt presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Burial, with military graveside honors, will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church or South Wind Hospice, both in care of the mortuary.
