James E. `Jim' Goertz
WICHITA - James E. "Jim" Goertz, 52, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born July 25, 1947, at Los Angeles, the son of William C. and Thelma Nadine Postier Goertz. He graduated from Buhler High School in 1965. A longtime Hutchinson resident, moving to Wichita in 1999 and formerly of Nevada and California, he worked as a correctional officer at KSIR, Hutchinson, was chief of police at South Hutchinson and was a federal police officer at Hoover Dam, Nev. He was currently employed by Powell Trucking Co., Wichita.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
On Aug. 24, 1983, he married
Donna Brack Heim at South Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a stepson, Scott Heim, New York City; a stepdaughter, Tamyra Heim, Lawrence; two brothers, Larry Goertz, El Dorado, and Mike Smith, New York City; and a sister, Virginia Sue Hinkley, Madison, Ala.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with David Tappe presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.

Marcella Larson
McPHERSON - Marcella Larson, 87, died Jan. 21, 2000, at The Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson.
She was born Jan. 4, 1913, in McPherson County, the daughter of Bengt Alfred and Johanna Nelson Ledell. A lifetime McPherson County resident, she was a schoolteacher.
She belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, the Alpha Delta Sorority, the McPherson Area Retired Teachers Association, the Kansas Retired Teachers Association, ELCA and the Hilton Homemakers Extension Homemakers Unit.
On Aug. 1, 1937, she married
Elmer E. Larson at McPherson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Richard and Robert, both of McPherson; two daughters, Una Kay Blankenship, Oklahoma City, and Janet Monson, Kingwood, Texas; two brothers, Harry and Burdett Ledell, both of McPherson; a sister, Esther Hjerpe, McPherson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Margaret Schafer, Agnes Schafer, Mabel Sandahl, Anna Nelson, Evelina Johnson, Edla Ledell and Elva Paulseen.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson, with the Revs. Linda Diepenbrock and Richard Monson presiding. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.

Marguerite Struble Bauer
KINGMAN - Marguerite Struble Bauer, 81, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born March 26, 1918, at Andale, the daughter of Anthony and Rose Horsch Mans. A longtime Kingman resident, she was a retired hairdresser.
She belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Society, all at Kingman.
On June 1, 1943, she married
Claude Struble at Kingman. He died Nov. 13, 1975. In 1986, she married
George R. "Dick" Bauer. He died Oct. 28, 1988.
Survivors include: a brother, Anthony Mans, Hutchinson; a sister, Ellen Tiesmeyer, Kingman; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with Father Daryl Befort presiding. Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.

Dolores D. Gee
ULYSSES - Dolores D. Gee, 83, of Ulysses, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born Jan. 8, 1917, at Zenda, the daughter of Jessie J. and Amy L. Lattimore Ford. She graduated from Grant County Rural High School, Ulysses, in 1937. A Ulysses resident since 1959, formerly of Oregon and Englewood, Colo., she was a bookkeeper at the Grant County Court House, Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ansel Manufacturing and Kansas Irrigation, all at Ulysses.
She belonged to Business and Professional Women, Ulysses.
On Sept. 16, 1946, she married
James L. "Jim" Gee at Ulysses. He died July 20, 1991.
Survivors include: a son, Les, Ulysses; a daughter, Roberta Courter, Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Melvin and Zeltus Ford, both of Ulysses; a sister, Naomi Heffelmire, Denver; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Winger and Shirley Medlin.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, Ulysses, with Warren Baldwin presiding. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Ulysses. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.

Floyd E. Lamoree
GREAT BEND - Floyd E. Lamoree, 87, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend.
He was born July 11, 1912, in Russell County, the son of Arza Stoughton and Marie Rose Pekarek Lamoree. He received a bachelor's degree in music education at Lindsborg, and a master's degree at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. A Great Bend resident since 1994, moving from California, he taught for several years in Kansas, South Dakota and New Mexico, had worked for Jenkins Music Co., Kansas City, Mo., as well as C. Bruno Music Co., San Antonio, and Los Angeles.
Survivors include: a son, Paul Rooney, Overland Park; two sisters, Irene Pack, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Norma Mae Hammeke, Great Bend; and a grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, Russell, with the Rev. Glenn Tombaugh presiding. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Russell City Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth Webster
LARNED - Mary Elizabeth Webster, 69, died Jan. 21, 2000, at her home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1930, at Lenoir, N.C., the daughter of Jesse and Mary Ethel Killian Smith. A longtime Larned resident, moving from Mulvane in 1951, she was a homemaker and retired school secretary at Northside School USD No. 495.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, where she belong to the church circle, held various offices and was a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Li-Ar-Mu, all at Larned.
On May 15, 1950, she married
Marvin D. Webster at Lenoir, N.C. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Steve F., Larned, Randy C., Hays, and Mitchell D., Great Bend; and seven granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Smith.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Larned, with the Rev. Jerry Leever presiding. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery.

Betty J. Novall
HARPER - Betty I. Novall, 77, died Jan. 20, 2000, at Harper District Hospital.
She was born Jan. 26, 1922, near Harper, the daughter of Charley and Callie Schoeneman Novall. A longtime Harper resident, she was a retired bookkeeper for W.C. Long Oil Co. and Anthony Co-op Elevator.
Survivors include: a sister, Vanera Smalley, Attica.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Harper Cemetery.
