Harold A. Blubaugh
DANVILLE - Harold A. Blubaugh, 92, died Jan. 17, 2000, at Harper District Hospital.
He was born July 10, 1907, at Clyde, Okla., the son of James L. and Julia A. Magers Blubaugh. He was a retired farmer.
He belonged to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville, and the Knights of Columbus.
On Aug. 14, 1940, he married
Mary Marguerite Moritz at Danville. She died Nov. 15, 1981.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronnie, Danville, and Dale, Clearwater; six daughters, Jeanette Mallory, Rosemary Sproul and Mary Ann Schulte, all of Wichita, Betty Bolles, Tulsa, Okla., Dorothy Hess, Fort Worth, Texas, and Marilyn Smith, Sharon; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Danville. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Father Michael Peltzer presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Danville.

Rose Marie `Rosie' Briseno
DODGE CITY - Rose Marie "Rosie" Briseno, 63, died Jan. 17, 2000, at Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
She was born April 19, 1936, at Bellefont, the daughter of Samuel Eusebio and Anita Sandoval Rodriguez. A Dodge City resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the church's Altar Society, the G.I. Forum Dodge City Chapter, and was a Cursillista, all at Dodge City.
On July 19, 1958, she married
Steven Briseno at Dodge City. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Thaddeus, Wichita; two daughters, Stephanie Alcaraz and Rosita Briseno, both of Sioux City, Iowa; four brothers, Albert Rodriguez, Wichita, David Rodriguez, Hutchinson, Louie Rodriguez, Newton, and Sam Rodriguez Jr., Battle Creek, Mich.; a sister, Martha Olivarez, Dodge City; and five grandchildren.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Dodge City. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Father Ted Skalsky presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

Eleanor Ruth Caler Downey
CHENEY - Eleanor Ruth Caler Downey, 78, died Jan. 17, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born April 25, 1921, at Springdale, Ark., the daughter of Ralph Rader and Ethel Blanche VanScyoc Caler. A Cheney resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Pratt Baptist Church, the Wichita Gem & Mineral Society, the Rebekahs, the Pratt Extension Homemakers Unit, the Cheney Emergency Fund Board, Cheney Friends of the Library, and the American Red Cross, Cheney.
On Oct. 29, 1939, she married
Gail Gordon Downey at Wichita. He died Dec. 26, 1993.
Survivors include: three sons, John, Wichita, and Bob and Mike, both of Cheney; a daughter, Rose LaGree, Burrton; two sisters, Marguerite Hoskins, Oklahoma City, and Alice Piper, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hershel, Ernest, Wendell and Arden; and a sister, Ethel Patton.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Cheney, with Dr. Terry McGuire presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Lanterman Funeral Home, Cheney. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cheney.

George W. Sauer
LAKIN - George W. Sauer, 77, died Jan. 17, 2000, at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1922, at Lakin, the son of Jacob August and Lola E. Brooks Sauer. He attended school in Lakin. A lifetime resident of the Kearny County area, he was a farmer, stockman, carpenter and feedlot cowboy, and worked on the gas line and in irrigation-sprinkler maintenance.
He belonged to First Christian Church, Lakin, and the Kearny County Saddle Club. He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
On Dec. 14, 1943, he married
Virginia Viola Tyree at Syracuse. He then married
Geraldine Elmore on June 15, 1985, at Liberal. She survives.
Other survivors include: five sons, Mickey, Garden City, John, Syracuse, Richard, Pueblo, Colo., Kenny, Puyallup, Wash., and George Jr., Lakin; two daughters, Karen Burns, Lakin, and Joyce Rider, Ulysses; two stepsons, Larry Elmore, Kaw City, Okla., and Frank Lee Elmore, Charlotte, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Jeralyn Spielman, Liberal; a sister, Thelma Kisel, Lakin; 23 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Lakin, with Pastor William Salmon and the Rev. Bill Harrold presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Lakin. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery.

Nancy L. Graf
McPHERSON - Nancy L. Graf, 48, died Jan. 17, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Sept. 14, 1951, at Monroe, Wis., the daughter of John C. and Donna J. Savee Pinnow. A McPherson resident since August 1994, moving from Bozeman, Mont., she was a homemaker and a former sales-order entry data person for the Vollrath Co., Sheboygan, Wis.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, McPherson, was a former member of First United Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, and United Methodist Church, Dexter, Mich., was on the board of directors of the McPherson Red Cross Unit, worked on blood drives, served on fund-raiser committees for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the McPherson High School girls' soccer team, and volunteered at Hospice of Bozeman, McPherson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, McPherson High School and Eisenhower Elementary School.
On June 14, 1975, she married
Jerry Dean Graf at Sheboygan. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Matthew Charles, Wichita; a daughter, Christy Sue, McPherson; her parents, Donna J. and Alan Peek, Sheboygan; a brother, Harold Peek, Sheboygan; and two sisters, Sue White, Sun Prairie, Wis., and Mary Neumann, Altura, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Pinnow.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, McPherson, with the Rev. Larry Harvey presiding. There will be no visitation, as cremation will precede the services. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Kathreen Hamilton
HOISINGTON - Kathreen Hamilton, 89, died Jan. 18, 2000, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.
She was born Nov. 30, 1910, at Oklahoma City, the daughter of William Alexander and Mary A. Byrom Head. A longtime Hoisington resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary No. 7428.
On March 11, 1927, she married
Theodore Frank Hamilton at Borger, Texas. He died March 23, 1978.
Survivors include: three sons, Ted, Santee, Calif., Bill, Salina, and Gerald, Holyrood; a daughter, Nadine Sears, Hoisington; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, J.W.; a son, Donald; an infant daughter, Patsy Rue; a daughter, Peggy Sue Torrez; a brother, Jesse; and a sister, Adda Lea.
Private inurnment will be at a later date in Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
