Johnnie L. Fuller
TRIBUNE - Johnnie L. Fuller, 43, died Sept. 10, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born Jan. 29, 1957, in Fulton, Ky., the son of William D. and Mabel E. Snyder Fuller. A resident of Greeley County since 1967, he was a contract laborer.
On Nov. 26, 1977, he married
Kay Osborn at Pueblo, Colo. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Wendy, Colleen and Jennifer, all of the home; four brothers, Jerry, Guymon, Okla., Joe and Eugene, both of Tribune, and Danny, Dighton; and six sisters, Janet Smith, Paducah, Ky., Diane Church, Wellington, Peggy Fox, Scott City, Betty Bradfield, New Mexico, Lyda Burton, Tribune, and Pam Fuller, Salina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. MDT Thursday at First Baptist Church, Tribune, with the Rev. Mark Randolph presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Tribune. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery.

LeRoy C. Dome
DODGE CITY - LeRoy C. Dome, 78, died Sept. 11, 2000, at his home in Dodge City.
He was born Sept. 25, 1921, at Burdett, the son of Martin and Anna Burkhart Dome. He attended Cimarron schools and Dodge City Community College. He was motor transit agent for the Rock Island Railroad. After the closing of the railroad depot, he went to work for Graves Truck Line as a dock manager, retiring in 1978. He later worked for Stanion Wholesale.
He belonged to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member of Council No. 2955, and belonged to the Moose Lodge, the Teamster's Local and the VFW, all at Dodge City. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater.
On July 13, 1942, he married
Regina Hertel at Ingalls. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Bob, Dodge City; four daughters, Joan Blankman, Jane Creamer, Margie German and Sharon Lohrenz, all of Dodge City; a brother, Cleo, Milo, Neb.; a sister, Arlene Davis, Derby; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, with the Rev. John R. Strasser presiding. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial, with military rites conducted by Howard Gottschall Post No. 1714 of the VFW, will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

Myrtle Ann Folsom Burk
McPHERSON - Myrtle Ann Folsom Burk, 95, died Aug. 31, 2000, at Mount Joseph's Senior Community, Concordia.
She was born Sept. 18, 1904, in Jewell County, the daughter of John Asher and Nora Belle Braden Knight. She had been a resident of Concordia since August, moving from McPherson. She was a homemaker, a teacher in country schools and nurse's aide at Sunset Home of Concordia.
She was a member of First Christian Church, McPherson.
On Aug. 15, 1923, she married
Ernest L. Folsom at Downs. He died Nov. 19, 1951. On May 3, 1962, she married
Frank Burk at Canton. He died Nov. 6, 1971.
Survivors include: a son, Jack E. Folsom, Gladstone, Mo.; a daughter, Margaret "Peg" Applebee, Concordia; two stepdaughters, Cheryll Hoyes, Glendale, Calif., and Gayetta Beall, Las Vegas; two sisters, Martha Dietz, Mankato, and Eunice Dietz, Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Copenhafer and Louise Dietz; and two brothers, Jim and Denzil Knight.
Graveside service and inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, in Pleasant Prairie Cemetery, rural Randall, with the Rev. Neil Engle presiding.

Lesley Williams England
CENTRALIA, Mo. - Lesley Williams England, 87, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Stuart House in Centralia, where he had lived since August 1998.
He was born May 14, 1913, in Hutchinson, the son of Luther James and Frances Amanda James England, and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad at Hutchinson for 10 years. He had been a longtime resident of Missouri.
He was the brother of Glen England of Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia. Burial will be in Centralia Cemetery.
Melba Jean Pedigo
GREAT BEND - Melba Jean Pedigo, 75, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924, at Madison, the daughter of Byron C. and Pattie Thelma Garriott Warrenburg. She had been a Great Bend resident for 19 years, moving from Madison. She worked for USD No. 428 in food service.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, all at Great Bend.
On March 29, 1943, she married
Howard Stenson Pedigo, at Great Bend. He died Nov. 16, 1981.
Survivors include: a son, Donald L., Great Bend; two daughters, Sandra S. Smith and Kandis Ann Pedigo both of Great Bend; a sister, Audrey G. Morphis, Wichita; companion, Paul Meier, Great Bend; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a step-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Lee Pedigo; a brother, Harold Wayne; and a sister, Carol Lee Gilligan.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend, with the Rev. Jana Baxter presiding. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery.

Nelle L. Schartz
DODGE CITY - Nelle L. Schartz, 82, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
She was born Feb. 5, 1918, at Melvern, the daughter of A.Z. and Stella Homire Venable. She graduated from high school at Melvern in 1936 and taught in a country school in Osage County. A homemaker, she spent most of her life on a farm north of Cimarron, moving to Dodge City in 1985.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Altar Society and the New Era Club, all at Dodge City. She belonged to the 20th-Century Federated Womens Club and the Jolly Janes Card Club, at Cimarron.
On June 2, 1937, she married
John F. Schartz at Wichita. He died Sept. 15, 1989.
Survivors include: two sons, Greg R., Arkansas City, and John F. Jr., Dodge City; a daughter, Jane Vath Cimarron; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the cathedral, with the Rev. John R. Strasser presiding. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.

Michael Jay Roberts
KANSAS CITY - Michael Jay Roberts, 24, died Sept. 8, 2000, at Bethany Hospital, Kansas City.
He was born Dec. 12, 1975, at Wichita, the son of Leo Roberts and Barbara Brophy Liska. A Kansas City resident, formerly of Pratt and Wichita, he was a painter.
Survivors include: father, Pratt; mother, Wichita; a brother, Timothy Patterson, Wichita; and grandparents, Doris Brophy, Lincoln, Neb., and Merle and Lorane Roberts, Pratt.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Ayres-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt, with the Rev. Harold Wilcox presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time Friday, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Coats Cemetery, Coats.

Cecil R. Egy
HESSTON - Cecil R. Egy, 91, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.
He was born Nov. 29, 1908, at McMinnville, Ore., the son of Frank and Blanche Dibble Egy. After the death of his parents in 1924, he came to this area to live with his aunt and uncle, Mamie and Ira Spangler. He was a farmer and stockman. He had been a resident of Schowalter Villa since 1998.
He served on the board and the election board of Emma Township.
On Dec. 8, 1935, he married
Mildred Zimmerman at Enid, Okla. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: a son, Dale, Newton; three daughters, Linda K. Budde, Newton, Phyllis Wood, Tucson, Ariz., and Vada Strattan, Tulsa; a sister, Geneva Merrifield, Peabody; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dale, Bill and Edwin; and two sisters, Loucetta Hoffman and Helen Page.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. Ron Rich presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family in attendance from 7 to 8:30. The family will greet friends at Hesston United Methodist Church after the graveside service in Hesston Cemetery.

Kathy L. Hewes
INGALLS - Kathy L. Hewes, 61, died Sept. 12, 2000, at Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
She was born Feb. 20, 1939, at Okarche, Okla., the daughter of William Franklin and Ruth Wilson Stangl. She had been an Ingalls resident since 1972, moving from Dodge City. She was a retired deputy clerk for Gray and Ford County Court Systems, and helped with the family farm.
She was secretary of the Avion Club, Kansas Chapter.
In March 1957, she married
Tommy L. Slate at El Reno, Okla. He died in May 1970. On May 20, 1972, she married
Herbert E. "Herb" Hewes at Dodge City. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ron, Dodge City; three daughters, Sheryl Burl, Cimarron, Linda Johnson, North Canton, Ohio., and Patricia "Pat" Grant, Akron, Ohio; brother, Donald, Perry, Okla.; two sisters, Lillian Davis, El Reno, Okla., and Loretta Bright, Norman, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
