Elizabeth Wyatt
MEADE COUNTY - Elizabeth Wyatt, October 18, 1912 - August 16, 2000, was born on a farm in Meade County, Kansas, to Herman Wyatt, and Minnie Winter.
She married David Butler in 1938 in Garden City, and moved to Colorado where her only child, Loretta Sharon, was born in 1940. The family moved to California for construction work during World War II. After she was widowed, Elizabeth moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where at considerable self-sacrifice, she provided the best possible education for her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Sharon, Upper Montclair, NJ., and her brothers, Fred Wyatt, Kansas City, Mo., and Calvin Wyatt, Portland, Ore., and their families. Cremation and private ceremony took place in Albuquerque and she was returned to rest with her family at home in Meade County.

Eunice V. Brown
OSBORNE - Eunice V. Brown, 100, died June 3, 2000, at Parkview Care Center, Osborne.
She was born Eunice V. Gilbert on Oct. 14, 1899, in rural Mitchell County. A longtime Osborne resident, she was a clerk for the Osborne Selective Service form 1940 to 1970.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 49, the Osborne County Hospital Auxiliary and United Methodist Women, all of Osborne.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nathalie Simpson, McPherson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Garrison.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at United Methodist Church, Osborne, with the Rev. Gary Davison presiding. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery, Osborne.
Memorials may be sent to Evening Circle of United Methodist Church, Osborne, or to Osborne County Hospital Auxiliary, both in care of Clark-Gashaw Mortuary, Osborne.

Leroy R. Cline
HOUSTON - Leroy R. Cline, 66, died June 5, 2000, at The Methodist Hospital, Houston.
He was born Aug. 15, 1933, at Lyons, the son of Benjamin David and Mary Rozella Copp Cline. A Houston resident since 1993, moving from New Jersey, he was a resident construction manager for John Brown Construction, retiring in 1993.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Houston.
He married JoAnn Schneweis on June 29, 1953, at Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: four sons, Rick, Lenexa, Randy, Richmond, Texas, Remy, Hong Kong, and Rory, Naperville, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Benjamin; and two sisters, Mary Hendrickson, and Geneive Birkes.
Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Burkhart Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, with Father Colin Boor presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Burkhart Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral chapel.

Leona Eisenhour
RANSOM - Leona Eisenhour, 97, died June 5, 2000, at Hays Medical Center, Hays.
She was born Dec. 20, 1902, at Ionia, the daughter of Robert F. and Blanche Kennedy White. A resident of Ness City since 1915, moving to Ransom in 1990, she was a teacher.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Starlight Chapter Order of Eastern Star, all at Ness City.
She married Jettie Lloyd Eisenhour on May 25, 1929. He died Sept. 23, 1984.
Survivors include five nephews and three nieces.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ness City Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Hasty presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
Memorials may be sent to United Methodist Church, Ness City, or to Grisell Memorial Long Term Care Center, Ransom, both in care of the funeral home.

Warren H. Goos
LIBERAL - Warren H. Goos, 82, died June 4, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.
He was born Dec. 11, 1917, at Tyrone, Okla., the son of Albert and Alice McGuire Goos. He graduated from Tyrone High School in 1937. A resident of Liberal since 1940, he was a farmer, and worked for Blakemore Brothers Bowling Alley, Hodges Candy Company for 13 years and as a salesman for Standard Supply.
He was a member of the former Tyrone Christian Church, Tyrone, Okla.
He married Margarette Tucker at Liberal on June 1, 1940. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, David W., San Antonio, Texas; a sister, June Smith, Boise, Idaho; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
His body was donated to Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Today at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Tom Wilkins presiding.
Memorials may be sent to the American Bible Society, in care of the mortuary.

Dianna L. Mock
OKLAHOMA CITY - Dianna L. Mock, 43, died June 3, 2000, at her home in Oklahoma City.
She was born Aug. 15, 1956, in El Dorado, the daughter of Alvin and Joyce Young Gore. She graduated from Plainville High School and Barton County Community College, Great Bend. She was a homemaker.
She married Phillip Mock in Plainville on Dec. 20, 1975. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jonathan, of the home; two daughters, Melissa, Manhattan, and Stephanie, of the home; parents, Plainville; two brothers, Steve, Hershey, Pa, and Monte Gore, Plainville; and a sister, Gayla Puthoff, Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Plainville Christian Church, Plainville. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to noon today at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville, and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery, Plainville.
Memorials may be sent to the Dianna L. Mock Memorial Fund to be designated between area churches, in care of the funeral chapel.

Dustin W. Putter
KINSLEY - Dustin W. Putter, 17, died June 5, 2000, at Kinsley.
He was born May 4, 1983, at Guymon, Okla., the son of Chris and Lagayle Kirklin Putter. A longtime resident of Kinsley, he was a student at Kinsley High School.
He was a member of the Baptist Church, Kinsley.
Survivors include: parents, Kinsley; a sister, Brandi, of the home; and grandparents, Gene and Dorothy Putter, Kinsley, and Homer and Alda Mae Kirklin, Stanley, N.M.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Baptist Church, Kinsley, with the Rev. Aaron Kirkwood presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley.
Memorials may be sent to the Baptist Youth Group, in care of the funeral home.

Velda Marie Kell Blair
LARNED - Memorial service conducted by the family of Velda Marie Kell Blair, 79, who died Jan. 18, 2000, in San Diego, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pawnee Rock Cemetery. Family will greet friends at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Great Bend.

Herman C. Snodgrass
ULYSSES - Herman C. Snodgrass, 94, died June 5, 2000, at Arlington, Texas.
He was born Feb. 23, 1906, at Horace, the son of James C. and Jenni Lenora Holmes Snodgrass. He attended schools in Horace and Tribune. He was employed by the state highway department for many years and for Missouri Pacific Railroad as a fireman. After moving to back to Greeley County, he worked for Ulysses Co-op and Popejoy Construction Co. and owned Snodgrass Butane Propane Co.
He married Ruth Alta Black on Dec. 31, 1927. She died Aug. 5, 1990.
Survivors include: a daughter, Marcia Rober, Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Duward; and a sister, Alice Bethel.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel, Ulysses, with the Rev. Bill Harrold presiding. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be 4 p.m. CST Saturday in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Memorials may be sent to Shelton Memorial Christian Church or to Grant County Senior Center, both in care of the funeral home.

Nickolas Knoll
HILL CITY - Memorial service for Nickolas Knoll, who died May 31, 2000, will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Sealye House Assisted Living Center, Hill City, with Father Bill Kilian presiding. Inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.
Cline's Mortuary, Hays, is in charge of arrangements.
