Thaleana Christina 'Tina' Jolliff
KINSLEY - Thaleana Christina "Tina" Jolliff, 22, died June 5, 2000, at Kinsley.
She was born May 26, 1978, at Lawrence, the daughter of Leonard Lee Jolliff and Vickie Loggins Johnson. She was a 1995 graduate of Lewis High School and received her CNA certificate from Pratt County Community College. She worked as a CNA for Professional Sitters and the Hampton Inn, both at Lawrence.
Survivors include: her father, Garnett; her mother, Lawrence; a brother, Leonard Jolliff Jr., Lawrence; three stepbrothers, Joshua Dean, Andrew Finis and Shawn Gregory, all of Garnett; her grandmother, Sandra Jolliff, Slader, Mo.; and great-grandmother, Ethel Loggins, Marshall, Mo.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence, with Steven Wintermantel presiding. The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lawrence.
Memorials may be sent to the Thaleana Christina Jolliff Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Kenneth C. 'K.C.' Mull
NEWTON - Kenneth C. "K.C." Mull, 30, died June 6, 2000, at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 26, 1969, at Newton, the son of Eugene and Phyllis Hawkins Mull. He was a chef in Kansas City and Newton and had worked for the Old Mill, El Toro and C&S BBQ, Newton.
He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: his mother, Newton, and a sister, Rachelle I. Oswald, Newton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Newton, with Father Floyd McKinney presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials may be sent to Organ Retrieval of Wichita, or to a charity of the donor's choice, both in care of the funeral home.

Miklos Kiraly
Miklos Kiraly, 74, died Monday, June 5, 2000, in Omaha, Neb.
He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Kisfalud, Hungary, the son of Josef and Elizabeth Kiraly. He worked as a carpenter and was a longtime Hutchinson resident.
He is survived by six sons and their wives, Miklos Jr., California, Theodore and April, Seffner, Fla., Stephen and Irene, Sioux City, Iowa, Capt. John, Stockbridge, Ga., Laszlo, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Patrick, Wichita; four daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Kevin Bradshaw, Wichita, Maria and Steve Wolfe, Omaha, Joan and David Shelton, St. Louis, and Lisa Kiraly, Hutchinson; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a soon-to-be great-grandchild.
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Tommy A. Sanders
DODGE CITY - Tommy A. Sanders, 59, died Oct. 1, 2000, at his home in Dodge City.
He was born June 18, 1941, at Klamath Falls, Ore., the son of Thomas A. and Betty M. Beard Sanders. A Dodge City resident since 1966, moving from Monett, Mo., he was the superintendent of public works for the City of Dodge City.
He belonged to Dodge City Church of the Nazarene and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1714, both at Dodge City. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
On Jan. 10, 1964, he married Barbara J. Lovell at Cassville, Mo. She died Oct. 20, 1998. On Feb. 14, 1999, he married Marcy Briney at Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jonathan Able, Dodge City; two stepsons, Phillip Briney, Dodge City, and Rick Briney, La Crosse; two step-daughters, Debbie Burnett, Dodge City, and Marilyn Ellis, Topeka; a sister, Carol Harris, Monett, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dodge City Church of the Nazarene, with Dr. Jerry Ketner and the Rev. Amer Khokhar presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, at Burkhart Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City, with military graveside rites performed by Service Battery, First of the Fifth Field Artlillery, Fort Riley.
Memorials may be sent to Catch the Vision, Build a Legacy Fund, in care of the funeral chapel.

Charles Francis Riedel
OLMITZ - Charles Francis Riedel, 69, died Oct. 1, 2000, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington.
He was born Jan. 3, 1931, at Hoisington, the son of Frank P. and Caroline Seidl Riedel. A former resident of Tuba City, Ariz., he was a retired employee of the federal government employee and worked at the helium plant, Otis.
He belonged to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Olmitz, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survivors include: a son, Dwayne, Lakeville, Minn.; two daughters, Frances Estrada, Lathrop, Calif., and Rebecca Larmore, Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Leonard, Kansas City; three sisters, Rose Menefee, Wichita, Joyce Bitter, Olmitz, and Caroline Heinz, Shawnee Mission; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert.
Family rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Olmitz, with Father Ultan Murphey presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery, Olmitz. Flag presentation will be performed by VFW Post No. 7428, Hoisington.
Memorials may be sent to the church or to the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.

Mabel H. Schmidt
WICHITA - Mabel H. Schmidt, 90, died Oct. 1, 2000, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born May 11, 1910, at Kingman, the daughter of Dave and Catherine Flickinger Schroeder. A former Newton resident, moving to Wichita nearly four years ago, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Riverside Jehovah's Witnesses, Wichita.
On June 17, 1930, she married Alvin Roy Schmidt. He died Nov. 19, 1982.
Survivors include: a son, Alvin Jr., Wichita; a daughter, Evelyn Yakle, Newton; two brothers, Ralph Schroeder, Midway, and Lester Schroeder, Nebraska; two sisters, Viola Stucky, Kingman, and Hulda Goering, Pretty Prairie; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Caroline Schmidt and Margaret Wilson; a brother, Raymond Schroeder; and two sisters, Phoebe Naffziger and Esther Schrag.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, with James Johnson presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.

Dottie Austin
LIBERAL - Dottie Austin, 54, died Feb. 14, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, after an extended illness.
She was born May 5, 1945, at Liberal, the daughter of Clem O. and Lucille M. James Wyer. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1965. She worked at Epworth Hospital and Southwest Medical Center for 17 years, and at Liberal Inn for the past 17 years.
On June 21, 1967, she married John H. Austin at Liberal. On Feb. 18, 1986, she married Gary D. Curtis at Liberal. He survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Carol A. Weatherspoon, Liberal, and Deborah L. Willard, Meade; a brother, Dale Wyer, Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Minnie Rhines, Owensboro, Ky.; a half brother, Bob L. Cravens, Topeka; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a sister.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today in LiberalCemeterywith the Rev. Ken Willard presiding. Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. today at Miller Mortuary, Liberal.

Cleveland 'Cleve' Burkhead
WILSON - Cleveland "Cleve" Burkhead, 78, died Feb. 14, 2000, at Ellsworth County Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 27, 1921, at Utica, the son of Morris and Leota McKinley Burkhead. A longtime resident of Wilson, he was a a laborer.
On Dec. 26, 1954, he married Ethel Stillwell at Ellsworth. She died in 1992.
Survivors include: three sons, Gerald and Jim, both of Wilson, and Tim, Lorraine; two daughters, Caroline Stark, Rogers, Ark., and Doris Barber, Herington; two brothers, Lauren, Salina, and Cloyd, Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Clodagh Lee, Raleigh, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Foster Mortuary Chapel, Wilson, with the Rev. Tim Harlan presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be in Wilson City Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the mortuary.

Robert 'Bob' Leroy Kinney
PRATT - Robert "Bob" Leroy Kinney, 53, died Feb. 15, 2000, at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt.
He was born Dec. 16, 1946, at Wichita, the son of Glenn Charles and Ruby Frances O'Dell Kinney. A resident of Pratt for most of his life, he was a self-employed house painter, carpenter and handyman.
He was a member of Assembly of God Church, Pratt.
On May 24, 1971, he married Cynthia Ann Miller at McPherson. She died June 21, 1972.
Survivors include: two sons, Jason Kinney, Harrison, Ark., and Shane Romine, Medicine Lodge; two brothers, William A., Pittsburg, Mo., and Marvin E., Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Opal Slaughter, Pratt; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
Memorials may be sent to the Robert L. Kinney Memorial Fund, in care of the mortuary.
