Melvin L. Kloefkorn
ANTHONY - Melvin L. Kloefkorn, 80, died May 6, 2000, at Anthony.
He was born July 20, 1919, in Harper County, the son of William and Elsie Morgan Kloefkorn. A lifetime Manchester, Okla., resident, he was a farmer the owner and a partner of Manchester Manufacturing.
He was a member of Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, Alva, Okla., and a member of the Shriners and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include: a cousin, Ron Kloefkorn, Manchester, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home, Anthony. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed on Wednesday. Graveside service will be in Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, Okla., with Masonic graveside rites by Medford Lodge No. 108.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the ManchesterCemeteryor to the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.
Angel Morales
KENDALL - Angel Morales, infant son of Natalie Hernandez and Miquel Morales, was stillborn May 7, 2000, at his home.
Survivors include: parents, of the home; a brother, Christopher Hernandez, Kendall; two sisters, Esperanza Crystal Morales and Isabel Marie Morales, both of Kendall; and grandparents, Rojelio Hernandez, Dodge City, Ramon C. and Esther M. Morales, Granada, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. MST today in Syracuse Cemetery, with Father Mike Helms presiding.

David G. Fox
GOLDEN, Colo. - David G. Fox, 51, died May 4, 2000, at Golden, Colo.
He was born Dec. 14, 1948, at Spearville, the son of Harold Warren and Myrna Marie Giles Fox. A Golden resident, he was employed as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Jan. 21, 1973, he married
Katherine Hancock at Golden. She survives.
Other survivors include; a son, Peter, of the home.
Funeral services were held Monday at Olinger Woods Mortuary Chapel, Golden. Entombment will be at 9 a.m. today in Mount Lindo Memorial Park, Morrison, Colo.

Ruth M. Gillett
McPHERSON - Ruth M. Gillett, 86, died May 12, 2000, at the Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson.
She was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Delmore Township, McPherson County, the daughter of John C. and Ida Blair Johnson. A McPherson resident since 1987, moving from Yucaipa, Calif., she was a retired registered nurse.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, McPherson, the Fidelis Sunday school class and the Wilfred Brown Circle, both of the church.
On Oct. 18, 1947, she married
Curtis Gillett at Las Vegas. He died Aug. 21, 1981.
Survivors include: a stepson, Darrell Gillett, Idyllwild, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Dehanna Mattson, Boulder Creek, Calif.; three step-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Leon and Allen Johnson; and three sisters, Mildred Larson, Edythe Straka and Lucille Bowman.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, McPherson, with the Rev. Les Cantrell presiding. Private family graveside services will be held prior to the memorial service in McPherson Cemetery.

Angie Arellano Ward
WICHITA - Angie Arellano Ward, 32, formerly of Liberal, died May 11, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born July 22, 1967, at Liberal, the daughter of Herbert and Mary Rodriguez Arellano. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1985 and attended vo-tech in aerodynamics. She had been a safety engineer for Flight Safety International at the Raytheon Learning Center, Wichita, for the past three years.
She belonged to Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Wichita.
On July 28, 1989, she married
Denzel Ward at Wichita. He died April 30, 1990.
Survivors include: a son, Mauricio Neal, of the home; a daughter, Demaris Neal, of the home; her parents, Liberal; three brothers, Valdo and Pete Arellano, both of Liberal, and Gene Arellano, Wichita; and two sisters, Connie Zuniga and Lupe Arellano, both of Liberal.
Welcoming of the body and Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Liberal. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.
Miller Mortuary, Liberal, is in charge of arrangements.
Eva L. Seely
LINDSBORG - Eva L. Seely, 85, died May 12, 2000, at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1914, at Wayside, Okla., the daughter of James and Anna Ketchum Parker. A Lindsborg resident for 60 years, moving from Hutchinson, she was a cook at the Riverside Café, the Swedish Crown and the McPherson Country Club.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, the Gray Ladies, Delaware Tribe of Indians, Cherokee Tribe of Indians and was a former Girl Scout leader.
In 1930, she married
George F. Seely at Wayside, Okla. He died Feb. 25, 1981.
Survivors include: a son, Walter K., Salina; a daughter, Shirley Prestin, Killeen, Texas; a sister, Patricia Quinton, Bartlesville, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg, with the Rev. Dave Smith presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m., both at Hays Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.

Karin Ann Simmons
CIMARRON - Karin Ann Simmons, 27, died May 12, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born April 19, 1973, at Dodge City, the daughter of Clarence and Eva Isenbart Lee. She graduated from Dodge City High School in 1991 and later from Dodge City Community College. A Cimarron resident, formerly of Dodge City, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ingalls.
On Oct. 24, 1992, she married
Roger Simmons at Ingalls. He survives.
Other survivors include: her parents, Cimarron; and two brothers, Joe Lee, Emporia, and Mike Lee, Wichita.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Ingalls. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Joseph Bahr presiding. Friends may call from noon to 3:30 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron. Burial will be in Cimarron Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Cimarron Library, both in care of the funeral chapel.
John H. Widener
LIBERAL - John H. Widener, 67, died May 11, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal.
He was born July 19, 1932, at Hiawatha, W.Va., the son of Roby B. and Della F. Ward Widener. A Liberal resident since 1961, he worked as a coal miner in West Virginia, drove a truck, worked in the oilfields and was the owner and operator of Widener's Salvage. He also owned and operated Widener Fiberglassing & Sandblasting for 31 years.
He belonged to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, was a 20-year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Elks Lodge, Liberal, and the No. 49 Miners Union.
On Nov. 7, 1961, he married
Lorna J. Benson at Pipestone, Minn. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Johnna Widener, Liberal; four brothers, Darel, Princeton, Va., Tommy R., Oklahoma City, Okla., and Curtis A. "Sam" and Jimmy B., both of Liberal; two sisters, Joyce Hill, Raven, Va., and Deloris Hatch, Coleman, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Stephen Saville presiding. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to service time Tuesday, both at Miller Mortuary, Liberal. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Arkalon Cemetery.

Jason Derek Miller
NEWTON - Jason Derek Miller, 28, died May 10, 2000, at Ka'ana, Molokai, Hawaii.
He was born April 24, 1972, at Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of Lyle Dwayne and Joyce Elaine Nafziger Miller. He graduated from high school at Weatherford, Okla., in 1990, from the Hesston College aviation program in 1992 and from Wichita State University in 1997 with a degree in aviation management. He had been employed by Executive Aircraft Corp., Wichita, as a pilot since 1992.
He was active in Koerner Heights Church of the Mennonite Brethren, Newton, where he was a Junior High Youth sponsor and a greeter, and was a volunteer for the Mornings Out for Moms program.
On July 1, 1995, he married
Monica Rene Diener at Hesston. She survives.
Other survivors include: parents, Weatherford, Okla.; a brother, Reggie, Weatherford; and grandparents, Glen and Ella Miller, Weatherford, and Clifford and Mary Nafziger, Pettisville, Ohio.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Koerner Heights Church of the Mennonite Brethren, Newton, with Pastor Mark Isaac presiding. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Private family graveside services will be held.
