Roberta Lindeblad
WICHITA - Roberta Lindeblad, 90, died Dec. 23, 2004, at her home, Wichita.
She was born March 14, 1914, at Pottowatomie County, the daughter of Herbert and Lillie Wahlstrom Johnson.
She grew up on a farm in Blue Valley and graduated from Bethany College in 1936. She taught English and mathematics for several years before going to work for Braniff Airways in Wichita as a radio operator during World War II. While working in Wichita, she met returning World War II veteran Harold Oliver Lindeblad at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. They were married in Mariadahl Church near her home. She accompanied her husband to seminary and he was ordained into the ministry of the Lutheran Church in 1950. They served their first call in Centerville, Iowa, from 1950 to 1952 and spent the remainder of their ministry at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, until Oliverís retirement in 1983. Roberta taught school in Hutchinson as well as serving in many capacities as a pastorís wife, teaching Sunday school and confirmation, singing in the choir, serving as church secretary, hosting gatherings and welcoming guest at the parsonage. Roberta was an avid sports fan. She and Oliver were regularly in attendance at Hutch Juco and high school ball games. She also loved to read, write, garden, entertain guest, e-mail friends and travel. Roberta and Oliver took many extended camping trips together. They recently moved from Hutchinson to Wichita to live near their daughter.
On Nov. 27, 1947, she married Harold O. Lindeblad. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Bob, Prairie Village; a daughter, Janet and husband Ken Janzen, Wichita; a sister Lucile Bischoff, Chapman; and two grandchildren Annie Janzen and Jacob Janzen, both of Wichita.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson with Pastors Tim Carey and Loren Mai presiding. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Mariadahl Cemetery, Oldsburg.
Memorials may be sent to Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, or to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Wichita, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Martha M. Nightingale
FAIRVIEW, Okla. - Martha Mae Nightingale, 75, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid, Okla.
She was the mother of Loyd Allen Nightingale, Montezuma; and the sister of Vivian Myers, Enid.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Fairview, Okla.
Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc., Fairview.

Howard W. Coursey
BUFFALO, Okla. - Howard Wayne Coursey, 64, died Feb. 20, 2005, at Herman Hospital, Houston.
He was born Feb. 5, 1941, at Truman, Ark., the son of Virgil Willie and Mary Magaline Adams Coursey.
A resident of Dayton, Texas, formerly of Buffalo, he was a carpenter and welder.
He is survived by a daughter and a brother.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Highpoint Cemetery, Buffalo, with the Rev. Mike Barton presiding. There will be no visitation.
Myatt Funeral Home, Buffalo, is in charge of arrangements.

Jennifer L. Barham
NEWTON - Jennifer L. Barham, 19, died Feb. 19, 2005, at Newton Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1985, at Newton, the daughter of Ken and Norma June Aubrey Barham. A resident of Newton, she was a former employee of Wal-Mart, was employed at Dillons pharmacy and was a volunteer for the Humane Society.
Survivors include: her parents, Newton; and two brothers, Damon Barham, Wichita, and Richard Aubrey, Alaska.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Provencio.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, with Chaplain Denny Bell presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society or to the Jennifer Barham Memorial Fund, both in care of the funeral home, 215 North Main, Newton, KS 67114.

John P. Stark
LARNED - John Phillip Stark, 61, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Centennial Hospital, Frisco, Texas.
He was born July 19, 1943, at Great Bend, the son of Charles Djalma and Helen Amelia Cross Stark. A resident of Overland Park, formally of Great Bend, he was a heating and air-conditioning ventilation specialist.
Survivors include: his mother; two sons; a brother; and four sisters.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with Brad Wangering presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, in care of the mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.

Adah B. Howat
WaKEENEY - Adah B. Howat, 88, died Feb. 21, 2005, at St. John's Nursing Home, Hays.
She was born Jan. 30, 1917, on the family farm at WaKeeney, the daughter of C.E. and Mary Zeman Howat. She graduated from Trego Community High School in 1935 and from Brown Mackie Business College, Salina. She was a secretary for Meade High School, for 30 years.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Tourist Club, Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Miriam Rebekah Lodge No. 465 and United Methodist Women's, all at WaKeeney.
Survivors include: a sister, Twila Ninemire, WaKeeney.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Cook and Marie Howat.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, WaKeeney, with the Rev. Randy Jellison-Knock presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, both at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. Interment will be in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Fine Arts Fund, Meade High School or to First United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.

Eva A. Smith
TULSA, Okla. - Eva Aline Smith, 91, died Feb. 22, 2005, at Tulsa Nursing Center.
She was born June 28, 1913, at Arlington, the daughter of Archie J. and Clara C. Baker Smith. She moved to Pratt in 1918. Because of her health she moved to Tulsa, Okla., to be with her niece, in June 2003. She was a retired bookkeeper/secretary. She was a 1932 graduate of Pratt High School.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Pratt. She was a former member of BPW and BPW Woman of the Year in 1981. She belonged to AARP, Senior Citizens, Pratt Historical Museum, and PRMC Auxiliary, all at Pratt.
Survivors include: two nephews, Dale Smith, Pawnee Rock, and Douglas Smith, Liberal; two nieces, Joyce Saunders, Tulsa, Okla., and Sue Newhall, Dundee; numerous great nieces and nephews; and numerous grandnieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bert, Herschel, Aubrey, and Roy Smith; and nephew, Ray Edward Smith.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with Chaplain Fred Pinkerton presiding. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
Memorials may be sent to Pratt Senior Citizen's Center, in care of the mortuary.

Larry L. Perry
HUGOTON - Larry Leroy Perry, 62, died Feb. 20, 2005, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City.
He was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Stevens County, the son of Wilmer J. and Isabel Higgins Perry.
He lived in El Reno, Okla., for two years, moving from Hutchinson. He worked as machine operator for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. for 31 years.
He belonged to Pace International Union and was past president of the Hugoton Jaycees.
Survivors include: his parents, Hugoton; a daughter; four brothers including, Wilmer C., Donald and Steve, all of Hugoton; and two sisters including, Patricia Kleffman, Hugoton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Assembly of God Church, Hugoton, with the Rev. Robert L. Bailey presiding. Burial will follow in Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home, Hugoton.

Louise M. Wasinger
GARDEN CITY - Louise M. Wasinger, 80, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Terrace Garden Care Center, Garden City.
She was born Nov. 5, 1924, at Blue Earth, Minn., the daughter of Anton and Blanche Weigel Brungardt. A resident of Garden City since the 1930s, moving from Victoria, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge, all at Garden City.
On Sept. 5, 1944, she married Leo A. Wasinger at Garden City. He died Sept. 15, 2000.
Survivors include: three sons, Gary, Tim and Rick, all of Garden City; three daughters, Mary Davis and Vicki Galliart, both of Garden City, and Michelle Garcia, Silt, Colo.; a sister, Lillian Tatro, Commerce City, Colo.; a stepbrother, Allen Quint, Cheraw, Colo.; three stepsisters, Jane Handy, Las Vegas, Nev., and Jean Dunnam and Carol Barton, both of Garden City; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Jacob A. Quint; and four sisters, Rose Brungardt, Mildred McCaslin, Barbara Harrington and Charlotte Ann Quint.
Vigil service will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Father James E. Baker celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, both at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
Memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home, 620 North Main, Garden City, KS 67846.
