Dallas Bowman
KINSLEY - Dallas Bowman, 89, died Nov. 29, 2004, at his home, Kinsley.
He was born July 1, 1915, at Johnson, the son of Isom C. and Lurline Newton Bowman. A longtime area resident, he was a retired farmer.
He was a former North Brown Township Board Member and Edwards County Farm Bureau Board Member.
On April 2, 1938, he married
Velda E. Zimmett at Fellsburg. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Steven, Kinsley; two daughters, Judith Ann McKinney and Rita B. Wilson, both of Lewis; a brother, Ray Bowman, Cypress, Calif.; two sisters, Doris Weeks, Russell, and Virgie Larson, Washington; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son; a brother; and a sister.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, Kinsley, with the Revs. Sara Davis Blodgett and David Bell presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley.

Helen M. Drum
EMPORIA - Helen M. Drum, 81, died Nov. 28, 2004, at Newman Regional Health.
She was the mother of Nancy Sauer, Lyons.

Audrey E. Larrick
ASHLAND - Audrey Eunice Larrick, 88, died Nov. 29, 2004, at Ashland Health Center, Long Term Care Unit.
She was born Aug. 27, 1916, at Gate, Okla., the daughter of Elmer and Lizzie Ethel Dodson Sherrid. She was graduated from Ashland High School in 1936. She was a homemaker.
She belonged to United Methodist Church, Ashland.
On June 12, 1941, she married
Richard Eldo Larrick at Ashland. He died Nov. 25, 2003.
Survivors include: three daughter, Andee Walker Black, Peoria, Ariz., Melba Kay Hagman, Kensington, and Janice Lee Erickson, St. Michael, Minn.; two brothers, Ernest D., Lakewood, Calif., and Robert Lee Sherrid, St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clell Leroy Sherrid.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Ashland, with the Rev. Don Hasty presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Myatt Funeral Home, Ashland. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ashland.

Lester M. Stieben
OTIS - Lester M. Stieben, 83, died Nov. 28, 2004, at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 29, 1921, at Brownell, the son of Fred and Julia Schlegel Stieben. A lifelong resident of Rush County, he was co-owner of Stieben Service and Garage, Otis.
He belonged to United Methodist Church, Otis.
On Aug. 29, 1943, he married
Velma V. Miller at Otis. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kenneth V., Otis; a daughter, Linda Stieben, Otis; a brother, Norman W., Otis; a sister, Lenora M. Ochs, Great Bend; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Otis, with the Rev. Marilyn Christmore presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, and from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Otis Methodist Cemetery, Otis.

Naomi Church
NEWTON - Naomi "Ruth" Church, 91, died Nov. 27, 2004, at McPherson Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 28, 1913, at Leslie, Ark., the daughter of George J. and Laura Varina Cook Binder. She was a homemaker and food cook/technician at Prairie View.
She belonged to Newton Bible Church.
On May 21, 1930, she married
Wilfred H. Church at El Dorado. He died Dec. 17, 1963.
Survivors include: two sons, Keith Church, McPherson, and Ralph Church, Wichita; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Church, and a grandchild.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, with Pastor Don Myer presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Center Cemetery, Clifford Township, rural Elbing.

Gerald D. Felts Jr.
DODGE CITY - Gerald D. "Jerry" Felts Jr., 49, died Nov. 27, 2004, at Lawrence.
He was born Feb. 18, 1955, at Dodge City, the son of Gerald D. Felts Sr. and Joyce Morley Felts. He was the owner of the NAPA store, Dodge City Automotive, for the past 20 years. In 1997, he purchased the NAPA store at Lawrence, and operated it from 1997 to 2002.
On May 11, 1979, he married
Susan Kay Trenkle at Shawnee. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters; his mother, Joyce Felts, Dodge City; a brother, William Felts, Dodge City; and three sisters, including Alita Felts and Tina Keeton, both of Hoisington.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, with Pastor Dan Nicholson presiding. Public visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Lawrence, with a memorial cruise to follow.
Concepcion C. Villareal
BEAVER, Okla. - Concepcion Castillo Villareal, 71, died Nov. 27, 2004, at Beaver County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1933, at Ocampo Chih, Mexico, the daughter of Jesus Castillo Leon and Marcelina Villareal Giron. She was a restaurant cook.
She married
J. Isaac Reynoso Orozco. He survives.
Other survivors include: five sons, Antonio Reynoso, Chihuahua, Mexico, Eduardo Reynoso and Martin Reynoso, both of Beaver, Jaime Reynoso, San Diego, Calif., and Juan F. Lopez Castillo, Weatherford, Okla.; three daughters, Socorro Reynoso and Griselda Reynoso Castillo, both of Chihuahua, and Ofelia Reynoso Castillo, Forgan, Okla.; four brothers, Astolfo, Manuel, Jesus and Salvador; nine sisters, Maria, Antonia, Zobeida, Magdelena, Lupe, Margarita, Socorro, Rosaura and Marcela; and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, Liberal. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery.
Mildred E. Harkness
LAWRENCE - Mildred E. Harkness, 85, died Nov. 27, 2004, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence.
She was born March 23, 1918, at Amy, the daughter of Thomas Alexander and Ocea Lee Walters Campbell. A Leoti resident from 1938, until moving to Scott City in 1972, she was a Lawrence resident since 1982. She was a practical nurse and farmer and retired from The Harkness Ford and Drilling in 1982.
In June 1938, she married
Leo Burton Harkness. He preceded her in death. She later married
Raymond Harkness on Aug. 15, 1972. He died in Oct. 2000.
Survivors include: a son; a daughter; a foster son; a brother, Thomas "Harvey" Yates, Dighton; two grandchildren; five foster grandchildren; and two foster great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Leoti Cemetery, with the Rev. Dick Odum presiding. There will be no visitation. Price and Sons Funeral Home, Leoti, is in charge of the arrangements.
Pat Tinin
LYONS - Pat Tinin, 67, died Nov. 29, 2004, at Lyons District Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1937, at Douglass, the daughter of Estes A. and Glada Nadine McMullen Davison. She was graduated form Braman High School, Braman, Okla. A Lyons resident since 1971, she was a cosmetologist.
Survivors include: a son, Dennis Bowersock, Lyons; a daughter, Patricia Lecklider, Lyons; two brothers, Dean Davison, Lyons, and Dale Davison, Colorado Springs, Colc.; two grandchildren; four nephews; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Lyons, with the Rev. Tom Eastman presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons.

Emily Liles
GREAT BEND - Emily Liles, infant daughter of Robert and Nicole Uthe Liles, was born and died Nov. 29, 2004, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend.
Survivors include: her parents, Great Bend; two brothers, Cody and Drew Liles, both of the home; grandparents, Debra Uthe, Great Bend, and Brenda and Ralph Reichuber, Great Bend; and great-grandparents, Alan and Joan Brinkmeyer, South Dakota, Al and Leona Reichuber, Great Bend, and Erma Zimmerman, Great Bend.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Curtis Uthe.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Great Bend Cemetery, with Pastor Chuck Carpenter presiding.

Cecil L. Vannaman
KIOWA - Cecil L. Vannaman, 84, died Nov. 26, 2004, at Kiowa.
He was born Jan. 24, 1920, in the Mound Center area, the son of Bertie R. and Hazel Pearl Stephens Vannaman. He graduated from Kiowa High School in 1937 and attended college at Emporia State University for two years. A Kiowa resident, he worked as a miller at State Line Mill and drove trucks for Gooch Feeds and Davis Mud Hauling, where he delivered oil well circulation supplies.
He belonged to United Methodist Church, where he was financial secretary for more than 20 years and also was on the audit committee. He was a longtime volunteer of the general store and recycling center. He was a board member of Kiowa Historical Society.
He served in the U.S. Marines as an aircraft mechanic.
On Aug. 26, 1951, he married
Rosalee Williams. She survives, Kiowa.
Other survivors include: four children, Linda Holt, Kiowa, Doug, Valley Center, Vicky Purdy, Tonkawa, Okla., and Robbie, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Arlena Gillig, Velma Vannaman, Mildred Turner and Myrtle Schwantz; and a brother, Oliver.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Kiowa, with Pastor Wayne Stephens presiding. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., and before the service Wednesday at the church.

LA CROSSE - Kyle Edward Lafferty, 14, and Krystopher M. Abrahms-McNutt, 15, died Nov. 26, 2004, in Logan County, Okla.
They are survived by their parents, Ed and Shelia Lafferty, Doug and Winnona Roberts and Peter McNutt; grandparents, Oma Gisela Abrahms, Ed and Katy Lafferty, Merle and Shirley Porter, Phyllis McNutt and Richard and Barbara Roberts; great-grandmother, Lillian Coyne; great-grandfather, Ed Weir; brothers, Matthew McNutt and Elijah Lafferty; sisters, Serena Roberts, Shayna McNutt, Kirstynn Lafferty; and an uncle, Eric Abrahms.
They were preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Abrahms and Enoch Lafferty.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Church, Guthrie, Okla., with Pastor Delbert Cronister presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie, Okla.
