Sue Crawford
McPHERSON - Sue Crawford, 91, died Feb. 5, 2004, at The Ceders, McPherson.
She was born Aug. 15, 1912, at Kay County, Okla., the daughter of Sebren Henry and Millie Myrtle Ketchum Musgrove. A resident of McPherson since 1946, formerly of Galva, she was a retired sales assistant for Stanley's Fashions and Morris and Son Clothiers.
She belonged to First Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star, Oriental Chapter No. 58, all at McPherson.
On Dec. 11, 1930, she married
Homer J. Farrar at Enid, Okla. He died Jan. 31, 1962. Then on Sept. 3, 1967, she married
Donald L. Crawford at McPherson. He died Dec. 16, 1994.
Survivors include: a nephew (her caregiver), Bob Lambert, McPherson; three stepsons, Donald W. and Robert K. Crawford, both of Newton, and Douglas L. Crawford, Hillsboro; a stepdaughter, Mary E. Koehn, McPherson; other nieces and nephews; 14 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: four brothers, Frank, Glen, John, and Pierce; and a sister, Ellen.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, with the Rev. Nancy Thomas presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Park, all at McPherson.

Frank H. McKinney
WINFIELD - Frank H. McKinney, 79, died Feb. 4, 2004, at Kansas Veterans Home, Winfield.
He was born June 29, 1924, at Reno County, the son of Claude L. and Josephine M. Duggan McKinney. A resident of Winfield, he graduated from Hutchinson Community College and University of Colorado, Boulder. He worked as a teacher at Arizona, California and Colorado, and at Durham, Prairie Village and Hutchinson.
He belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a former member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, from 1943 to 1946. He was involved in the European Theatre Campaign.
Survivors include: a brother, William Michael McKinney and wife, Lynne Rose; a nephew, J. Martin McKinney and wife Jana Leanne; a great-niece, Juliet Victoria; and two great-nephews, Bradley Scott and Miles Patrick McKinney, all of Louisville, Ky. He is also survived by a host of cousins and their spouses, and will be missed by his friends and the staff of the Veterans Home and Hospice.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, James Robert McKinney.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Fr. Stuart M. Smeltzer presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliot Mortuary. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Donald W. Jensen
ELLINWOOD - Donald W. Jensen, 79, died Feb. 7, 2004, at Hutchinson.
He was born Aug. 23, 1924, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Thorwald R. and Marguerite Doherty Jensen. An Ellinwood resident since 1952, formerly of Cedar Rapids, he graduated from the University of Iowa in 1949 with a bachelor's degree in business and economics. He worked as an independent insurance agent and owner of Jensen Associates, Ellinwood.
He belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church, Ellinwood, Professional Insurance Agents of Kansas, Lions Club, American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars and other organizations.
He was past president of Ellinwood School Board. He was on the boards of Crime Stoppers of Barton County, United Way and People's State Bank. He was Rotary Citizen of the Year in 1989, and he served as a Boy Scouts coordinator.
He was a World War II U.S. Army infantryman in the 82nd Airborne 508th Parachute Infantry. He served in the Normandy Invasion, Battle of the Bulge and Operation Market Garden. He also served as a member of the Eisenhower Honor Guard.
On April 18, 1946, he married
Jean Bowker at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jeffrey S., Great Bend, Jon J., Topeka, and Josh A., San Diego; two daughters, Kristin Weis, Richardson, Texas, and Kathryn L. Jensen, Hays; a sister, Marilyn R. Jensen, Denver; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Ann Ireland; and a brother, James R. Jensen.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Andy Keltner presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kimple Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, all at Ellinwood.

Aaron Medrano
DODGE CITY - Aaron Medrano, 1, died Feb. 6, 2004, at Western Plains Regional Medical Center, Dodge City.
He was born Jan. 26, 2003, at Wichita, the son of Victor H. and Alma Rosa Medrano.
Survivors include: his parents; and two brothers, Hugo and Armando Medrano, all of the home.
There will be a private family funeral service at a later date.
Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, is in charge of arrangements.
Marion Edward 'Lucky' Finch
GREENSBURG - Marion Edward "Lucky" Finch died Feb. 7, 2004, at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.
He was born March 19, 1924, at Foster, Mo., the son of Frank and Faye Botkin Finch. A resident of Greensburg since 1950, he retired as chief inspector at Enron Gas Company.
He belonged to Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church, Greensburg.
After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1947. Thirty months were served overseas.
On Nov. 16, 1945, he married
Zona Irene Brown at Newton. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, John and his wife Petie, Wellington, and Jerry and his wife Candi, Wann, Okla.; three grandchildren, Amanda Shay and her husband Reece, Eric Finch and his wife Crystal and Missy Britain and her husband Scott; and five great-grandchildren, Abigail Shay, Cassidy Finch, Kiersten, Dillon, and Sydney Britain.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fleener Chapel, Greensburg. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Burial will be in Haviland Cemetery, Haviland.

Delia Nadine Miller
ELKHART, Ind. - Delia Nadine Miller, 47, Elkhart, Ind., went home to unite with Jesus at 3:30 p.m., Jan. 31, 2004, at Indiana Medical Center, Indianapolis, after a sudden illness.
She was born Sept. 3, 1956, at McPherson, the daughter of J. Clifford and Nadine Miller. She graduated from Buhler High School, Buhler, Hesston College and Goshen College, Ind., and received her master's degree from the University of Western Michigan as a social worker.
Delia enjoyed working at Memorial Hospital emergency room, South Bend, Ind., and as a coordinator of social services. She served as an advocate for those in adverse situations. Most recently she was affiliated with Family Practice, South Bend.
Delia spent her life caring for others. She was compassionate, courageous, and genuinely concerned for those in need. She was full of energy and love while seeking to do God's will. Her radiant smile and contagious laughter will be missed by family and those who knew her. She enjoyed animals, flowers, conversation, and being with people. She always knew how to have a good time in every situation.
Survivors include: her parents, Hutchinson; a brother, C. Bernelle and wife Deanna Miller and children, Danielle and Tim Partridge, Hutchinson; a grandfather, Floyd E. and wife Erma Miller, Filer, Idaho; uncles and aunts; cousins; and many kind friends.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Lloyd and Lottie Miller; a grandmother, Freda Miller; a step-grandmother, Lydia Miller; and two cousins, Jenell Miller and Lynn Conway.
A Memorial service and visitation was held last Wednesday, at Zion United Church of Christ, South Bend, Ind., with the Rev. John P. Vonlackum presiding.

Pat Harris
LIBERAL - Pat Harris, 68, died Feb. 7, 2004, at her home in Liberal after an extended illness.
She was born July 20, 1935, at Baca County, Colo., the daughter of Marion and Gertrude Hartley Beason. She attended school at Colorado, Texas and Elkhart. She moved to Liberal in 1952 from Perryton, Texas, and worked as a waitress for many years. She began as a fabricator for Beech Aircraft, Liberal, later transferring to Wichita in 1985. In 1997 she retired and returned to Liberal.
She belonged to AFL-CIO Union and South Church of God, serving as chairman of the hospitality and historical committees. She also served for many years at Summer Vacation Bible School, the Beech Employee Club, Golden Rule, Golden B and the United Way.
On Sept. 11, 1954, she married
Elmer F. Harris at Clayton, N.M. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Eugene Bolton, Oklahoma City, and Bill Harris, Wichita; two daughters, Patty Volden, Liberal, and Lura Jane Wheat, Wichita; four sisters, Charlene Jones, Fort Worth, Texas, Betty Records, Ottawa, Leona Carlile, Liberal, and Peggy Rodkey, Tulsa, Okla.; sixteen grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at South Church of God, Liberal, with the Rev. Rusty Callahan presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Mortuary. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Liberal.

Mitchell J. Braun
GARDEN CITY - Mitchell J. "Shaggy" Braun, 8, died Oct. 28, 2004, at his home, Munjor.
He was born May 31, 1996, at Garden City, the son of Michael J. and Cindy K. Dubbs Braun. A resident of Munjor, he was a student at Munjor Elementary School.
Survivors include: his mother, Munjor; his father, Holcomb; a brother, Clayton, Munjor; a sister, Emily, Munjor; grandparents, Howard and Sharon Braun, Garden City, and Duane Dubbs, Tulsa, Okla.; and great-grandparents, Herb and Vivian Braun, Garden City. Robert Verlin Kirsch
WICHITA - Robert Verlin Kirsch, 81, died Oct. 23, 2004, at Wichita.
Formerly of Hutchinson and Lyons, he was the retired owner and architect for Feagins and Kirsch Architecture and Engineering.
On Jan. 27, 1945, he married
Mary Gertrude McGlinn at Columbus, Ga. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: four sons; two daughters; two sisters; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were in Wichita. Downing & Lahey Mortuary, Wichita, was in charge of arrangements.
