NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Shiloh Coleen Brawner, died Oct. 31, 2004, at Centennial Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.
She was born Oct. 29, 2004, at Nashville, Tenn., the daughter of Bill and Jessica Vernon Brawner, they survive of the home.
Other survivors include: a brother, Sage, of the home, grandparents, Ron and Kathy Bontrager, and William Brawner Sr., all of Hutchinson, and Marc Vernon, Central City, Ky.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Father's House Church (Abundant Life Church), Hutchinson, with the Rev. Quintin Moore presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Vanderbilt University Children's Hospital, N.I.C.U., in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, which is in charge of arrangements.
Ludwina Horning
GARDEN CITY - Ludwina Horning, 93, died Oct. 31, 2004, at Garden Valley Retirement Village, Garden City.
She was born Dec. 10, 1910, at Leibenthal, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Werth Kreutzer. A Garden City resident since 1932, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Garden City, and Christian Mothers Group.
On Oct. 2, 1928, she married
John J. Horning at Ransom. He died March 22, 1998.
Survivors include: five sons, Julius and Alex, both of Wichita, James and Jerome, both of Garden City, and Cleatus Horning, Lake Havasu, Ariz.; a daughter, Sylvia Knoll, Deerfield; a sister, Clementine Brungardt, Wichita; 59 grandchildren; 138 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Vigil service and Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father James E. Baker presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.

Doris D. Tharp
PRATT - Doris D. Tharp, 89, died Nov. 2, 2004, at Friendship Manor, Pratt.
She was born July 19, 1915, the daughter of Edward C.C. and Dora Shoemaker Smith. A resident of Pratt for 43 years, moving from Great Bend, she was retired from the Safeway meat department.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Pratt.
On Jan. 21, 1943, she married
Raymond Lee Tharp. He died March 21, 1975.
Survivors include: a son, Eddie, Pratt; three daughters, Betty Holmes, Commerce City, Calif., Linda Garrigus, Douglas, and Cindy Warren, Attica; two brothers, Willie Smith, St. Cloud, Fla., and Kenneth Smith, Mesquite, Texas; three sisters, Margaret Shepard, Whippoorwill, Texas, and Grace Holmes and Lucy Cooper, both of Talco, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with the Rev. Kendal Utt presiding. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.

Leroy E. Lampe
ARGONIA - Leroy E. Lampe, 65, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Harry Hynes Hospice House, Wichita.
He was born July 28, 1939, at Isabel, the son of Alvin and Hulda Winter Lampe. A 1957 graduate of Nashville High School and Pratt Junior College in 1959, he received his Bachelor of Science Education and major in Mathematics in 1961, and his Masters in Education in 1971 all from Northwestern State College. He was a retired math teacher and counselor for 36 years at Argonia High School, Argonia.
He belonged to St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville.
Survivors include: a sister, Venora and her husband Fred Mease, Pratt; two nieces, Karla and husband Scott Hahn, Wichita, and Cindy and husband Pat Hevier, Pratt; two great-nieces, Emma and Ellie Hahn; and two great-nephews, Benny Christians and Brent Hevier.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Rhonda Mease.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, Nashville. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Nashville.

August L. Zorn
ELLSWORTH - August L. "Augie" Zorn, 101, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Good Samaritan Retirement Village, Ellsworth.
He was born Sept. 3, 1903, at Odin, the son of Frank and Lena Shusky Zorn. He lived most of his life in Ellsworth and was a retired farmer and stockman.
He belonged to St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 174 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6485, all of Ellsworth.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: four sisters, Catherine Zorn, Ellsworth, Eleanor Bradford, Wichita, Mary Mog, Ellinwood, and Matilda Brown, Larned; and several nephews and nieces.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with Fathers Daniel Scheetz and Charles Steier presiding. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in EllsworthCemeterywith military rites.

James O. Rosenberg
ST. JOHN - The Rev. James O. Rosenberg, 93, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Leisure Homestead, St. John.
He was born July 11, 1911, in Phillips County, the son of Herman J.F. and Mae Nettie Rosenberg. He attended Central Bible Institute, Springfield, Mo., in 1937. He was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God in Kansas and Ohio. He was a Pastor at Miller, Woodston, Jewell, Great Bend, Highland Park, Topeka and Middle Town, Ohio. Upon retirement in 1975, he served at Tri County Assembly, Fairfield, Ohio, for 25 years.
On March 18, 1931, he married
Helen Rosenberg. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Harold, Aurora, Colo., and Rev. Hugh Rosenberg, Fairfield; a brother, Edwin Rosenberg, Wichita; a sister, Ruth Christoffersen, Hastings, Neb.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Willis Rosenberg; three brothers, Finley, Eldon and Harvey Rosenberg; and a sister, Velma Jenkins.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Green Church, Agra, with the Rev. Hugh Rosenberg presiding. Viewing and visitation will be at 10 a.m., before the funeral. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery.

Herman Roy Baker
NEWTON - Herman Roy Baker, 69, died Oct. 31, 2004, at his home in Newton.
He was born Aug. 22, 1935, at St. Joe, Ark., the son of Lindsey and Audrey Trogdon Baker. He graduated from high school in St. Joe in 1954. In the 1950s, he moved to Newton and worked for Hesston Corp./ Hay and Forage Industries at Hesston, where he was employed as an experimental mechanic, helping produce prototype machinery for the company. He retired in 1997 after 38 years of service.
Survivors include: a son, Bryce Devoy Baker, Lafayette, Tenn.; two daughters, Daylene Baker Johnson, Hesston, and Terrie Lynn Sowell, Golden City, Mo.; a brother, Ken Baker, Harrison, Ark.; four sisters, Lorene Young and Allene Campbell, both of Sand Springs, Okla., Oleta Austin and Louella Saul, both of Harrison; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, with the Rev. Tim Sowell presiding. Friends may sign the register book Wednesday at the funeral home.

DERBY - Margaret LaVada Sheldon, 86, died Nov. 1, 2004, at Westview Manor, Derby.
She was born Oct. 9, 1918, at Conway, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Pearl Gum Richardson. She was a homemaker.
She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson.
On Sept. 29, 1949, she married
Everett Marion "Red" Sheldon at Lyons. Everett died Feb. 13, 1978.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christy L. and Glenn Clark, Derby.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd and Ben Richardson.
Graveside Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, with the Rev. Mike Marion presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Chapel, McPherson.
Charles G. Dipman
PRATT - Charles G. Dipman, 84, died Nov. 13, 2004, at Pratt Regional Living Center.
He was born Oct. 29, 1920, at Larned, the son of Edward and Clara Moyer Dipman. A Pratt resident since 1946, he was a conductor for Rock Island Railroad from 1943 until his retirement.
He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, BPOE, Elks and American Legion. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and volunteer at Pratt Regional Medical Center.
He served in the U. S. Army from 1944 to 1946.
On May 17, 1941, he married
Hermina "Minnie" Kuhn at Larned, after 10 days of courtship. They were married
for 64 years. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Cliff and wife Christy, Manhattan, David and wife Kay, Olathe, and Mark and wife Rhonda, Pratt; three daughters, Ann Fenwick, Wichita, Norma Voss and husband Harold, Pratt, and Penni Gard, Wichita; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a daughter, Cheryl Clinesmith; two brothers, Jake and Ernest; a sister, Gladys Strain; and a grandson, Mike Fenwick.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
