Dennis G. Harms
PRATT - Dennis G. Harms, 48, died Nov. 12, 2004, at his home, Pratt.
He was born June 18, 1956, at Pratt, the son of G.J. and Lola L. Crosley Harms. A lifetime resident of Pratt, he worked as a master plumber.
He belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt, Knights of Columbus, Pratt City Fire Department, Township 12 Fire Rescue and KSHSAA as a football official. He was tournament director for Knights of Columbus South Wind Hospice Golf Tournament.
On Oct. 2, 1976, he married
Mary H. Eck at St. Leo. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Julie Harms, Reno, Nev., and Traci Crow, Pratt; her parents, Pratt; and two sisters, Jean Waits, Wichita, and Jane Stokes, El Paso, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Doug.
Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Gregory LeBlanc presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, both at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Burial will be in Cairo Cemetery, Cairo.

Freita M. Latshaw
NORWICH - Freita Marie Latshaw, 90, died Nov. 11, 2004, at Norwich Care Center.
She was born Aug. 28, 1914, at Tolar, Texas, the daughter of Joseph and Lou Ada Martin Hodges. She graduated from high school at Broken Arrow, Okla. A Norwich resident since 1978, moving from Wichita, she retired as a housekeeper for Southwestern Bell.
She belonged to Telephone Employee Pioneers and attended the Baptist Church, Norwich. She was involved with Friendship Meals, Norwich.
On Aug. 16, 1936, she married
Joseph A. Latshaw at Broken Arrow, Okla. He died July 10, 1989.
Other survivors include: a son, Wayne, Viola; a daughter, Carole Eggert, Norwich; a nephew; three grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Hooper, Wichita.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, north of Norwich.

Bobby J. Seeney
PEABODY - Bobby Joe Seeney, 73, died Nov. 10, 2004, at Legacy Park, Peabody.
Survivors include: a brother, Paul, Kingston, Okla.; four sisters, Erma Lenam, Mildred Flathers and Patty Newfeld, all of El Dorado, and Helen Lewin, Wichita.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Loren; and a sister, Mary Dickson.

Annabelle J. Cheek
VERSAILLES, Mo. - Annabelle Jean Cheek, 77, died Nov. 11, 2004, at Versailles, Mo.
She was born July 13, 1927, at Elkhart. A resident of Versailles, she worked as a homemaker.
On Sept. 25, 1950, she married
Alton Cheek Jr. at Raton, N.M. He died Sept. 23, 1994.
Survivors include: three daughters; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Eldon, Mo., with the Rev. Randy Trumbo presiding. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Richfield Cemetery, Richfield. Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

FOWLER - Marvin Gabel died Nov. 12, 2004, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.

Leona A. Palmer
Leona A. Palmer, 88, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born Oct. 4, 1915, at Victoria, the daughter of Anton G. and Catherine Hammerschmidt Wagner. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a small business owner for the Gorham Drugstore and a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church.
On Sept. 4, 1957, she married
Wayne A. Palmer at Miami, Okla. He died Feb. 13, 1979.
Survivors include: a son, Daryl and wife, Nina Palmer, Denver; a daughter, Alice Stanton, Morrowville; a brother, Marvin Wagner, Hays; and a sister, Lila Meis, Hays.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Arthur, Paul, Marcel, Rich, Ralph and Donald Wagner; and a sister, Laura Brown.
Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Fathers Stuart M. Smeltzer and James Hoover presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Washington City Cemetery, Washington.

Norma Ola Hendley
LARNED - Norma Ola Hendley, 86, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Larned Health Care Center, Larned.
She was born Dec. 8, 1917, at Caldwell, Texas, the daughter of John and Mary Louise Dackel Johnson. A Larned resident since 1973, moving from Syracuse, she was a retired waitress.
She belonged to Church of Christ, Larned.
On Feb. 18, 1946, she married
James Douglas Hendley at Syracuse. He died April 5, 1967.
Survivors include: a son, Paul, Shawnee; a daughter, Marilyn Poerschke, Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Naomi Scheffer, Amarillo, Texas; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Farrell and Eddie, and four sister, Lorene Sims, Velma Lanquist, Arnita Tabler and Mabel.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with evangelist Brad Wangerin presiding. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the mortuary. Cremation has taken place. A private burial will take place in Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton.

HILLSBORO - Marie Harder Wiens, 91, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Hillsboro.
She was born Nov. 29, 1912, at Inman, the daughter of Jacob J. and Aganetha Wiens Harder. She was a pastor's wife.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, Durham.
On June 4, 1938, she married
Peter J. Wiens at Minneapolis. He died in 1981.
Survivors include: three sons, Curtis, Hillsboro, Robert, Sioux Falls, S.D., and James Wiens, Troy, Ill.; a daughter, Marilyn Sween, Millersburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Wiens.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Durham, with Curtis, Robert and James Wiens presiding. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Durham Baptist Cemetery, rural Durham.
Kale F. Hartle
Kale Floyd Hartle, 95, died Oct. 26, 2004, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
He was born June 2, 1909, at Galt, the son of Frank Lee and Effie Lantow Hartle Sr. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1928 and attended a year at Sterling College and a year at Rolla College, Missouri. A Hutchinson resident since 1988, formerly of Lyons, he was a farmer and Manager of Coca Cola plant, Hutchinson and Sapula, Okla.
He belonged to United Methodist Church, American Legion and Masonic Lodge, all at Lyons. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In 1932, he married
Martha Maxine Stahl at Lyons. She died in 1954. In 1957, he married
Emma Lou John at Lyons. She died Aug. 22, 1975. On Jan. 18, 1979, he married
Doris Elaine Stroud Hixenbaugh at Las Vegas. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jack Hartle and wife, Alice, Sterling; three stepdaughters, Mary Lou Cook, New York, Sue Lucas and Myrna Kelly, both of Lyons; a sister, Alta Hohl, Mesa, Ariz.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Alan Hartle; five brothers, Leo Hartle, Frank "Buster" Hartle, Rex Hartle, Paul Hartle and Max Hartle; and three sisters, Ruth Knackstedt, Nellie Revel and Beatrice Pratt.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, with the Rev. Cindy Watson presiding. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons.

LYONS - Lela Jean Edmiston Aten, 94, died Oct. 24, 2004, at Sandpiper Bay, Wichita.
She was born Dec. 1, 1909, at Coffeyville, the daughter of Peyton and Ida Morgan Edmiston. A former Lyons resident for 52 years, living the last seven years at Cornerstone Assisted Living, Wichita, she was a homemaker.
She was active in the Chase First Baptist Church and past President of Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary, Lyons.
On July 14, 1928, she married
Loda Sullivan at Independence. He preceded her in death. On July 21, 1967, she married
Howard Aten at Lyons. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a son, Leonard Leon Sullivan and wife, Betty, Wichita; a daughter, Colleen Clovis Guy and husband, Robert, Kerrville, Texas; three grandchildren, Debra and James Bowman, Augusta, Lynda and Kurt Schlender, Wichita, and Steven and Cynthia Sullivan, Carol Stream, Ill.; and eight great-grandchildren, Brandon Bowman, Andrea, Krista and Rebekah Schneider, and Michael, Joshua, Ian and Lydia Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon Edmiston, Russell Edmiston and Earl Edmiston; and a sister, Viola Spillman and Companion, Delmar Louhridge.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, with the Rev. Charles Kirk presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.

McPHERSON - Candice Jean Goebel and Cadence Alice Goebel, infant twin daughters of Brad Goebel and Rachel J. Hoffman, died Oct. 4, 2004, at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital, Tampa, Fla.
Survivors include: a brother, Christian Goebel, McPherson; grandparents, Tom and Brenda Hoffman, McPherson, and Jerroll and Carol Goebel, Moundridge; great-grandparents, Marsha Geren, Norma Hoffman and Jim Geren, all of McPherson, Verta Goebel, Moundridge, and Ollie Casey, Coweta, Okla.; and a great-great-grandmother, Jo Graham, Marquette.
They were preceded in death by a grandmother, Thelma Goebel; a great-grandfather, Rodney Hoffman; and a great-great-grandfather, Lewis Graham.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moundridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bob Parks presiding. Burial will be in First Mennonite Church Cemetery, Moundridge.
