Jo Butterfield
Jo Butterfield, 77, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born July 23, 1927, at Wichita, the daughter of Andy and Martha Stark Anderson. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1944 and attended Cottey College, Nevada, Mo., and Emporia State University. A Hutchinson resident since 1957, she and her husband lived in Wamego from 1947 to 1953 and Garden City from 1953 to 1957. She grew up in Coldwater. She was a social worker in Pottawatomie County from 1949 to 1952, then was a homemaker.
She belonged to First Presbyterian Church; PEO Chapter BY; Daughters of the American Revolution; and member and past president of the Heart of America Quilters.
On Aug. 3, 1947, she married
Sam Butterfield at Coldwater. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Scott and his wife, Susan, Boise, Idaho, and Steve and his wife, Shelby, Phoenix; a sister, Mona Rodee, Roy, Utah; and seven grandchildren, Stephen, Brooks, Matthew, Tyler, Jake, Sam and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Shelton and Margo Jan Kindsvater.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Tim Soule and Helen Moore Spath presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Sam and Jo Butterfield Scholarship Fund, in care of Hutchinson Community College Endowment Association or to Hospice of Reno County, in care of the mortuary.
Robert W. Ford
Robert William Ford, 88, died Oct. 25, 2004, at West Plains Medical Center, Dodge City.
He was born March 24, 1916, at Newkirk, Okla., the son of Claude Robert and Cora Lee Oliver Ford. A longtime Hutchinson resident, he was a retired carpenter, working for Foy Construction Co. and Ewing Construction Co.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He married
Delores Logue. She preceded him in death. He then married
Nona Maye Banz. She died April 25, 2001.
He is survived by five stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Private family graveside services have taken place.

Amy Kreman
MANHATTAN - Amy Kreman, 35, died Oct. 24, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident east of Abilene.
She was born June 10, 1969, at Wichita, the adopted daughter of Harry W. and Lovena Hoss Warren. A former Lyons resident, also living in Dubuque, Iowa, California, Hawaii and Colorado, she was a Manhattan resident since 2002. She had worked as a registered nurse at nursing homes, hospitals and doctors' offices.
On May 16, 1987, she married
Robert "Bob" Kreiman at Dubuque.
Survivors include: her parents, a son, three daughters and a sister.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, with the Rev. Nancy Watson presiding. Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, is in charge of the local arrangements.
Dan R. East
GREAT BEND - Dan R. East, 55, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend.
He was born July 12, 1949, at Great Bend, the son of Russell and Vera Irene Carpenter Partridge. He was a resident of Great Bend since 1992, coming from St. Louis.
He was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving two tours in the Vietnam War with the rank of E-5. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.
On Feb. 14, 1993, he married
Sharon Kay Fox at Larned. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Dawn R. East and Deborah R. Ellis, both of Austin, Texas; his mother, Irene East, St. Charles, Mo.; his stepmother, Beverly Partridge, Great Bend; two brothers, Jerry D., Hutchinson, and Thomas E., St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Barbara A. Hansen, St. Peters, Mo., Patricia K. Wolf, Russell, and Deborah S. Manley, Hoisington; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather, John C. East, and two brothers, Robert Allan East and Terry L. Partridge.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Pastor Jack Russell presiding. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Great Bend Cemetery, with military committal rites conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
Memorials may be sent to Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.
Isabella M. Finch
LYONS - Isabella Mary Finch, 93, died Oct. 26, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center, Lyons.
She was born Aug. 16, 1911, near Little River, the daughter of David and Jeannie Coupar German. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1929. A lifetime Lyons resident, she was a homemaker and former school bus driver.
She belonged to First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship and Loyal Partners Sunday School Class and was a member of the former J.B. Club, all at Lyons.
On April 6, 1930, she married
Lawrence R. Finch at Mitchell. He died March 4, 1999.
Survivors include: two daughters, Marian Ankerholz and Sandra Clarke, both of Lyons; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Edward "L.E." Finch; a daughter, Geneva Ankerholz; two brothers, Alfred and Clive German; a sister, Rhoda MacCord; and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, Lyons, with the Rev. Tom Eastman presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. The casket will be closed. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the funeral home.
Ava L. Green
ST. JOHN - Ava LaVerne Green, 86, died Oct. 25, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1918, at Radium, the daughter of George Nelson and Naomi Gleason. She graduated from Radium High School in 1936. A Radium resident until moving to St. John in 1958, she was a secretary for the Stafford County Extension office and St. John schools. She also farmed.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hesperian Club and EHU Club and was a 4-H Club leader.
Survivors include: a daughter, Karen Bauer, Wichita; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Warren and Gary Green; a brother, Berle Gleason; and a sister, Marieda Keenan.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, St. John, with Bob Gleason presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Minnis Chapel, St. John. Burial will be in Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John.
Memorials may be sent to the church or American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.
