Joseph McKim Enneking was stillborn at 6:34AM on January 9, 2014 at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colorado.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Jason and Bobbi McKim Enneking of Westminster, Colorado; paternal grandparents Chuck and Kathy Enneking of Sabetha, Kansas; maternal grandparents Bob and Terri McKim of Sabetha, Kansas and Kent and Cindy Scott of Agency, Missouri; paternal great-grandparents Dean and Ann Jincks of Gladstone, Missouri; maternal great-grandmothers Mabel McKim of Sabetha, Kansas and Margie Sheik of Green Valley, Arizona; nine aunts and uncles; and eight cousins.
Private graveside services will be held in St. Bede’s CatholicCemeteryin Kelly.

Maria Lynn Enneking

Maria Lynn Enneking, daughter of Adam and Jennifer Harvey Enneking, Sabetha, was stillborn Friday, June 25, 2004, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Survivors besides her parents are two sisters, Hannah and Grace of the home; grandparents, Charles and Kathleen Cooper Enneking of Sabetha, Stephen Harvey, Sr., of Oklahoma City, OK, Cynthia Jinks Harvey of Hutchinson; great-grandparents, Ann K. Jincks of Mount Moriah, MO, Jeanette Harvey of Oklahoma City, Kenneth Jinks of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, and Loyce Jinks of Edmond, OK.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Monday, June 28, 2004, at St. Bede’sCemeteryin Kelly, by Fr. Earl Dekat.
Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca was in charge of arrangements.

Marilyn A. Conley Enneking

Marilyn A. Conley Enneking, 71, Seneca, KS, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born April 28, 1932, at the Axtell Hospital, Axtell, KS, the daughter of John and Rachael Aziere Heideman. She moved to Seneca with her family in 1937, attended Sts. Peter & Paul Schools, graduating from high school in 1950. She then lived with her brother Galen and his wife in Kansas City, where she was employed as a secretary for a trucking company.
On May 8, 1954, she married Glen E. Conley, Sr. at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. They lived in Kansas City until 1956 when they returned to Seneca. In 1958 they opened Conley Shoe Repair in Seneca and also operated Glen's Tavern in Seneca. They sold the shoe repair business in 1968 and continued to operate the tavern. Later they operated Glen's Log Cabin Restaurant. Her husband, Glen, died September 15, 1976, and a daughter, Glendenna Conley died May 18, 1958. The Log Cabin was sold after Glen's death.
On November 5, 1977, she married Louis Enneking, Jr. at Seneca. They lived in Seneca and operated the Enneking Liquor Store from 1980 to 1985. Marilyn was employed at Pearson Plumbing answering their phone for several years.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, St. Ann's Altar Society at the church and the Earle W. Taylor Post #21 of the American Legion Auxiliary all at Seneca.
Survivors are her husband, Louis, Jr., of the home; a son, Glen Conley, Jr., Berryton, KS; four daughters, Glenda Wilhelm and Glenette Mitchell, both of Seneca, Glenilyn "Lyn" Shughart, Topeka, Glenise Harcrow, Tecumseh, NE; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Glen, and daughter, Glendenna, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Heideman on October 4, 1989, Leo Heideman on May 9, 1995, and George Heideman on February 16, 2004; and an infant sister, Mary Ann Heideman on January 15, 1930.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca on Thursday at 2 and 7 P.M. where she will lie in state after 8:30 A.M. Thursday.
Memorials may be given for the Seneca EMT Association or Seneca American Legion Baseball, and sent in care of the family.

Ronald C. Enneking

Ronald C. Enneking, 66, Meridan, KS, died suddenly Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at his home in Rockport, TX. He had been a winter Texan for the past three years.
He was born April 2, 1937, in Seneca, the son of Henry and Mary Rethman Enneking. He graduated from Sts. Peter & Paul High School in 1955. He worked several jobs in Seneca before being inducted into the U.S. Army on December 2, 1958. After serving in Germany he was discharged from active duty on November 17, 1960; he then completed 4 years in the Army Reserve. After his active duty discharge, he worked for Southwestern Bell and then transferred to AT&T until he retired. He also worked for the Perry Yacht Club and the American Legion in Meridan until his retirement in Spetember 2003.
He married Nancy Toothaker in 1957 at Lillis, KS. They were later divorced.
Ron enjoyed restoring old cars and entering them in car shows.
Survivors are two sons, Troy Enneking, Wichita, KS and Tim Enneking, Topeka; a daughter, Terri Tilford, Edwardsville, KS; a brother, Robert Enneking, Seneca; three sisters, Jerrie Huerter and JoAnn Palmer, both of Seneca, Virginia Roggenkamp, Blaine; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie, in 1963.
Graveside services will be conducted at Sts. Peter & PaulCemeteryin Seneca on Wednesday, November 5, at 2 P.M. by Rev. Jim Smith. Military honors will be provided by the Seneca Memorial Post #7458 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Earle W. Taylor Post #21 of the American Legion both of Seneca.
Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes & Crematory, Aransas Pass, TX, is in charge of arrangements. Lauer Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.

Ariel E. Esslinger

Ariel E. Esslinger, 15, of St. Benedict, Kansas, died on Friday, January 26, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident west of Seneca.
She was born October 23, 1991, in Seneca, the daughter of Michael and Karen Schraad Esslinger. She attended B&B grade school and had graduated from the 8th grade; while in junior high, she was involved in volleyball, basketball and track. She was currently a freshman at B & B High School.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church at St. Benedict, and was a former HHHH 4-H member.
Ariel enjoyed dancing and loved being on the computer. She had attended Dancin’ Productions for four years and had competed at the Regional Level winning a silver medal. Ariel was an assistant instructor for beginners hip-hop. She was employed at Subway and she helped her father at Assure Crop in the warehouse. Ariel loved people, and believed no one was a stranger.
Survivors are her parents of St. Benedict; five sisters, Anna Marie of Manhattan, Angela, Ashley, and Autumn, all of the home, and Rachel Heideman, of Topeka; a brother, Anthony of the home; her grandparents, Waymer Esslinger of Bern and Gene and Betty Schraad of Seneca; and her great-grandparents Elmer and Mary Skoch of Seneca.
Her grandmother Pauline Esslinger preceded her in death in August 2005. Ariel was joined in death by her unborn child, Shawna Brook Esslinger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Mary’s Church in St. Benedict. Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Wednesday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.

Karen A. Esslinger

Karen A. Esslinger, 45, of St. Benedict, Kansas, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, October 24, 2012, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.
Karen was born in Axtell on February 13, 1967, the daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth Skoch Schraad. She grew up on a farm northeast of Seneca and graduated from Nemaha Valley High School in 1985. After graduation, she went to Manhattan Area Vocational School for secretarial law.
On September 2, 1989 she married Michael E. Esslinger in Seneca.
Karen worked for Countryview Estates nursing home, Life Care Center nursing home (formerly Countryview Estates), Krayola Korner Day Care, Nemaha Valley Community Hospital and the Nemaha County Training Center.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict.
Karen enjoyed helping others when she could and was very active with the Nemaha County Relay for Life. Karen and her family were involved in a student foreign exchange program, hosting Anja from Germany and Marine from Belgium. Anja and Marine have returned to visit with Karen and the family both this past summer and the previous summer. Karen loved to take care of her grandchildren whom she took great pride in, as well as taking care of animals, doing crafts, and crocheting afghans. She also took great pleasure and pride in coming to be known as "Grandma Karen" by all of the children at both of her daughters' day-cares.
Survivors are her husband Michael of St. Benedict; five daughters, Anna Marie Ward of Seneca, Angela (Jeremy) Clary of Seneca, Ashley (Jesse) Sura of Seneca, Autumn Esslinger of Axtell, and Rachel Heideman of El Paso, Texas; a son, Anthony Esslinger of the home; her parents, Gene and Betty Schraad of Seneca; her grandmother, Mary Skoch of Seneca; brothers, Jim Schraad of Seneca, John Schraad of Sabetha and Bryan Schraad of Seneca; six grandchildren; and her father-in-law, Waymer Esslinger of Sabetha.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ariel Esslinger, and granddaughter, Shawna Brook Esslinger, both on January 26, 2007; her grandparents, Elmer Skoch, August and Anne Schraad; and her mother-in-law Pauline Esslinger.
Rosaries will be prayed at 2 & 7 PM Sunday, October 28, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday, October 29, at St. Mary’s Church in St. Benedict.
Memorial contributions may be given for Relay For Life, and sent in care of the family.

Pauline Specht Esslinger

Pauline Specht Esslinger, 73, Bern, died Monday, August 15, 2005, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.
She was born December 9, 1931, at Pawnee City, NE, the daughter of Carl E. “Ed” and Ruth Jones Specht. In 1945 the family moved to Seneca. Pauline graduated from the Seneca Public High School in 1949. She was employed at the Southwestern Bell Telephone office as an operator and at the Nemaha County Clerk’s office.
On March 5, 1961, she married Waymer Esslinger at Sabetha. They lived and farmed south of Bern.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church at Bern. She was very active and held many offices in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Reavis-Ashley Chapter at Falls City, NE. She was a Mayflower descendent and a member of the Mayflower Society. Pauline was a charter member of the Nemaha County Historical Society and the Genealogy Society, where she also held offices and published the newsletter. For many years she served on the Seneca High School Alumni Association in all the officer roles and was the present treasurer. She served on the Washington Township Election Board. Pauline was a recipient of President Bush’s “Point of Light Award.”
Survivors are her husband Waymer of the home; two sons, Mark Esslinger, McLouth, and Michael Esslinger, Seneca; a daughter, Dawn Feldkamp, Seneca; a brother, Charles Specht, Dawson, NE; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 18, at the Bern Apostolic Christian Church. The burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 P.M. at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials may be given for the church or for the Seneca High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, and sent in care of the family.

Elizabeth Fangman

Elizabeth Fangman, 93, of Seneca, Kansas died late Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Country View Estates Care Home in Seneca. She had been a resident there since October 7, 1997.
She was born October 12, 1906, on a farm northeast of Seneca, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Johanna Hurley Morton. She attended at St. Mary's School in St. Benedict, and boarded there with the sisters due to the difficult traveling conditions in those times. Elizabeth graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul High School in Seneca in 1926 and began work as a sales lady at the Florence Ann Shoppe selling women's clothing.
She married Carl Fangman on August 27, 1927, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Her husband, Carl, died June 16, 1972. They lived on the Frank Fangman farm west of Seneca for three years before purchasing their farm just west of Seneca. In 1965 they retired and moved into Seneca.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, St. Ann's Altar Society at the church, the Loyal Christian Benevolent Association, and the Nemaha County Historical Society all at Seneca.
Survivors are a son, James Fangman of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, a daughter, Myrtle L. Huerter of Manhattan, Kansas; and five grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Carlton "Buzz" Fangman on November 24, 1995, and a daughter, Phyllis J. Fangman on April 6, 2000.
The mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
A vigil prayer service will be conducted at 7 P.M. Wednesday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca where she will lie in state after 8:30 A.M. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be given for Sts. Peter & Paul School and sent in care of the family.
