Donald E. Burnett Feb. 14, 1932, at Larned. He died Aug. 5, 2002. A lifetime Larned resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, PEO, Larned Music Club and Larned Country Club, all of Larned. Survivors include one son, Donald L. Burnett and his wife Deanne of Larned; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Frederick; and three brothers, Fred Lowrey, Ralph Lowrey and George Lowrey. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Larned cemetery with the Rev. JETMORE - Esther L. Delaney, 95, died Feb. 20 at Hodgeman County Health Center Long Term Care in Jetmore. She was born Aug. 11, 1908, in Campus, the daughter of George and Katie Schneider Eichman. She married
Harvey Delaney II May 26, 1928, at WaKeeney. He died Jan. 29, 1965. A longtime resident of Ness City, she was a homemaker. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Rosedale Club, Rebekah's and Leisure Years Center, all of Ness City. Survivors include two sons, Jack Delaney and his wife Norma and Howard 'Mutt' Delaney and his wife Barbara, all of Burdett; two daughters, Faye Brown and her husband Dwight of Ransom and Joann Rohr and her husband Melvin of Ness City; one sister, Alma Gross of Ness City; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. MONROE, La. - The Rev. Charles Edward Reed, 66, died Feb. 17 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was the son of the Rev. Clarence and Eunice Reed. He was founder and chief executive officer of Lamb Broadcasting for 17 years. He was a minister for 50 years, ordained for more than 46 years with Assemblies of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Lela Reed of Monroe; two sons, Bradley Charles Reed of Baton Rouge, La., and the Rev. Michael Todd Reed of West Monroe, La.; and two grandchildren. Hauser was a member of First Christian Church and Elks Lodge, both of Great Bend, and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame of Colorado Springs, Colo. Survivors include two daughters, Elmaleda McMinn of Emporia and Wanda Komarek of Great Bend; one brother, Floyd Hauser of Great Bend; one sister, Evelyn Davis of Wichita; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Lange was a member of United Methodist Church in Holland. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, David Lange of Austin, Texas; and two sisters, Deloris Parks of Round Rock, Texas, and Donna Hatcher of Ellinwood. MISSION - Robert 'Bob' G. Oberle, 56, passed away Feb. 16 at University of Kansas Medical Center of lymphoma. born in Dodge City on March 28, 1947, to Edna and George Oberle, he married
Linda Kay Stout, his high school sweetheart, on July 25, 1965. They were married
38 years. Bob was a member and a deacon of Nall Avenue Baptist Church in Prairie Village, active in the Mission Springs Garden Club as well as the 'Moanen-Bones' domino group. He and Linda Kay had 'Bob the Handyman Service' in the Kansas City-area. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kay; son Dr. Tony L. Oberle and his wife Dr. Suzanne and their children Shashanna, Drew and Joseph of New Iberia, La.; daughter Sandi Kay Contreras, husband Hector, and daughters Celsie, Chrystina and Cassandra of Maywood, Neb. Also surviving are his mother Edna of Great Bend; sister Marlene Schwartz and her husband Leo of Houston, Texas; brother Larry Oberle and his wife Sharon of Ellinwood; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father, George, on Nov. 4, 1998. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Nall Avenue Baptist church, 5401 W. 67th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208. Life celebration services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning at Nall Avenue Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Clark officiating. Ruby Louise Stewart Aug. 23, 1948, at Oklahoma City, Okla. A resident of Larned since July 1966, coming from Beloit, he was a retired sales manager for Doerr International Dealership of Larned. Hunter was of the Christian faith, and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion, both of Larned. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, John Hunter Jr. of Larned; one stepson, Jim Hunter of Salina; four daughters, Saundra Phillips of Garfield, Patricia Dizmang of Curtis, Neb., Joan Donovan of Larned and Judy Smith of Topeka; two sisters, Charlotte Mooney of Salina and Floy Johnson of Jamestown; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Joe Z. Stanley May 16, 1981, at Great Bend. He died May 18, 1988. She married
John F. Jarmer May 30, 1992, at Great Bend. He died July 17, 1994. A resident of Great Bend since 1976, coming from Fowler, she was a retired licensed practical nurse and hospital dietary specialist for Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita. She was an associate of Dominican Sisters in Great Bend and a former member of Sisters of St. Joseph of Wichita. Mrs. Jarmer was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary and past president of Ladies Auxiliary FOE, all of Great Bend. She had also been a teacher in the Reach Program for more than 12 years and was a volunteer for Fort Hays State University Senior Companion Program. She was also a 'Grand Friend' to Blake Stanley and Kaitlee Spray at Holy Family School. Survivors include two stepsons, Bill J. Stanley of Great Bend and Robert Hoffman of Cheyenne Wells; three stepdaughters, Agnes Hoffman Birzer of Offerle, LaVerne Hoffman Leis and Ferna Hoffman Beckerman, both of Fowler; two brothers, Wilbur J. Schneider of Enid, Okla., and Robert E. Schneider of Goddard; two sisters, Kathleen Ann Marshall of Wichita and Lila Jean Pederson of Haysville; 12 step-grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; 28 nieces and nephews; 70 great-nieces and nephews; 24 great-great-nieces and nephews; and one godson, Danny Schneider. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Harold Hoffman; three stepdaughters, Dorothy Hoffman Herring, Delores Herrman and JoAnn Thomas; one step great-grandson, Brian Miller; two brothers, Marvin Schneider and Homer Schneider; and one sister, Norma Schneider.
