Willie R. Coulter
Services for Willie Ray Coulter, 54, of Danville were held today at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home. Burial was in Hilldale Cemetery.
He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1945, in Danville, he was a son of the late Willie and Permilia Allen Coulter. He was a former employee of Centre College and Danville Country Club. He was a member of Allen AME Church in Moreland.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Coulter of Cincinnati and Willie R. Coulter Jr. of Danville; five daughters, Shelia Davis and Wilma Buck, both of Cincinnati, and Kim Coulter, Kay McGuire and Yolanda Elmore, all of Danville; two brothers, Billy J. Coulter of Danville and the Rev. Robert L. Coulter of Nicholasville; fours sisters, Edith Wilkerson, Betty J. Coulter and Sue Mitchell, all of Danville, and Mary M. Whitehead of Harrodsburg; and a special friend, Sylvia Miller of Danville; and 12 grandchildren.

Curtis Robert Norfleet
LIBERTY -- Curtis Robert Norfleet, 80, of Liberty, former educator in Casey and Garrard counties, died Tuesday in Russell Springs Hospital of natural causes.
He was a retired teacher and principal. He had been principal at Garrard Elementary School, assistant principal at Casey County High School and a teacher at Ferguson school.
Born July 14, 1919, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Killis and Lillie Mae Childress Norfleet. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Aldena Rainwater Norfleet; a son, Charles Norfleet of Dunnville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Gerald Burton and S.L. Sears. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Allie M. Bidwell
LIBERTY -- Allie Mae Bidwell, 84, of Adair County died Monday at Taylor County Hospital, Campbellsville, of natural causes.
Born Nov. 18, 1915, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Mary Mabe Hatfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Charlie Bidwell.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Bidwell of Elizabethtown, Ind., and Eugene Bidwell of Liberty; a daughter, Ruby Wethington of Columbia; a sister, Alma Barton of Columbia; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Junior Holmes and Edward Brown. Burial will be in Old Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hatfield, Donny Payton, Roger Wethington, Glen Hicks, Gordon Brown and George Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Wethington and John Hunt.

LIBERTY -- Bannie Ellis, 99, of Cincinnati, formerly of Liberty, died Monday in Cincinnati of natural causes.
Born July 24, 1900, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late John Tyler and Pearl Luttrell Hughes. She was a member of Dunnville Christian Church and was a homemaker. She was the widow of Addie Welby Ellis.
Survivors include three daughters, Edna Faye DeBorde of Cincinnati, Louise Williams of Liberty and Sally Epler of Dunnville; and two sons, Eugene Ellis of Cincinnati and Charles T. Ellis of Dunnville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Green River Valley Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Patton. Burial will be in church cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shirley Harmon
Goshen, OHIO -- Shirley Lee Harmon, 69, of Danville died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 1, 1931, in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Katherine Butler Meadors. She was the widow of Carl Harmon Jr. and a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Veronica Crall of Danville; three brothers, Gillis Meadors, Kenneth Meadors and Ralph Meadors; and two grandchildren.
Services were noon today at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, Ohio, by Rev. Herman Meadors. Burial was in Myers Cemetery.

Eva Maxey
MORELAND -- Eve Mae Maxey, 96, of Lexington, formerly of Casey County, died Tuesday at Pimlico Manor in Lexington.
Born May 22, 1904, in Casey County, she was the daughter of John and Edna Swearinger Hafley. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of God. She was the widow of Marion Maxey.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Maxey of Columbia and Glen Maxey of Lexington; three daughters, Ethel Sampson of Junction City, Pauline Sterling of Ohio, and Goldia Dunn of Nicholasville; two sisters, Artie Denton of Indianapolis and Dova Foley of Illinois; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Mildred E. Houchins
PERRYVILLE -- Services for Mildred Engle Houchins, 64, of Brookhaven Drive, Danville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Wayne Malone and Gary Landis. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
She died Monday at Ephaim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born in Oct. 10, 1935, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Eunice Baker Engle. She was a housewife, graduate of Perryville High School and a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Houchins; one son, Mike Houchins of Danville; and one sister, Pearl Lennington of Danville.
Active pallbearers will be Roger Lennington, Eddie Engle, Johnny Russell, Don Dean, David Furr, and Bobby and Jess Stinnett. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Quisenberry and Daniel Jones.

Willard Steele
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Willard "Bill" Steele will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Willie Laswell. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Steele died Monday in Lexington.
Born Jan. 23, 1921, in Harrodsburg, he was a son of the late Clarence and Anna Bell Beckham Steele. He was a retired painting contractor. He was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Preston Steele; two sons, Jimmy Steele of Louisville and Butch Steele of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Trudy Treadway and Mary Jennette, both of Lexington, and Martena Murphy of Nicholasville; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Treadway Jr., Kevin Treadway, Charles Jennette Jr., Jimmy Steele, Mark Steel and Chad Steele.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Stinnett, Phillip Murphy and David Willoughby.

Virginia Beazley Johnson, 97, of Mayfair Manor, Lexington, formerly of West Lexington Avenue, died Saturday at Mayfair Manor.
Born Aug. 16, 1902, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late James and Nannie Sweeney Beazley. She was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church and a 50-year member of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the widow of Jay G. Johnson.
Survivors include a brother, James A. Beazley Jr. of Lexington.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church by the Rev. Norman Hagley. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may go to First Christian Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Jesse Shelby Jr.
Jesse Shelby Jr. 70, of Carrigan Drive died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1929, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Jess and Mary S. Rogers Selby. He was head grocer at Kroger Co., and had served in the Army in Korea. He was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and Franklin Masonic Lodge 160, a graduate of Danville High School. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Bailey Selby; two daughters, Jenny Selby Wells of Versailles and Judy Selby Owens of Nicholasville; a brother, John E. Selby of Lexington; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 7:30.
Memorials may go to Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.
