S.D. Poynter
LANCASTER -- S.D. Poy-nter, 84, of Lancaster, died Friday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 2, 1915, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Hender-son and Polly J. Wardlow Poynter. He was a retired paint store owner and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was a World War II veteran, a member of Kiwanis and a past master of Lancaster Lodge F. & A.M. No. 104.
He was the widower of Lillie V. Fothergill Poynter.
Survivors include a brother, Charlie Cabel Poynter of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Jo Hazel Branigan of Reading, Ohio, and Donna Banas of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home by Dwight Forderhase. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carl Baker, Phil Price, Rodney Johnson, Tony Merida, Julian Lamb, Aaron Marsee, Rick Marton and Tommy Cornelius.
Honorary pallbearers are active elders of First Presbyter-ian Church.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today with a masonic service at 7 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to the Garrard County Hospital Auxiliary.

William E. Brown
Services for William Edward M. Brown, 99, of Maxwell Street, Stanford, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Stanford Mission-ary Baptist Church by the Rev. Christopher Simpson. Burial will be in Barrows Cemetery.
He died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital of natural causes.
Born Aug. 17, 1900, in Carlisle, he was a former employee of Kentucky Utilities and a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty J. Smith of Lexington; two sons, Edward Brown of Stanford and Thomas Brown of Lexington; and a brother, Henry L. Brown of Cincinnati.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Wayne Brown, Don Brown, Robert Brown, Tommy Brown Jr., Mark Thomas Gooch and Kenneth D. Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are William Brown, Edward Gooch, John Thomas Gooch, Charlie Logan, George Reed and James Welch.

Services for Lojuanna Southwood, 84, of North Third Street will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Harley Humfleet. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
She died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of June Southwood.
Born Oct. 4, 1915, in Emory Gap, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Peterman McCarroll. She was a former partner of Southwood Co. with her husband and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Paul R. Southwood of Lexington; a sister, Juanita Hatfield of Leesburg, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gray Grubbs, Bob Funkhouser, Gary Grubbs, John Funkhouser, Brian Kinney, and Albert Logue.

Tyler Campbell, 87, of Sunrise Health Care Center, formerly of Danville, died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born July 16, 1912, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Willie and Alice Campbell. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a nephew, Clarence Beasley of Midway.
Service will be 7:30 p.m. today at Smith and Smith Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Douglas Cunningham
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Douglas Cunningham, 66, of Salvisa will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. John Hockersmith III. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1934, in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Roscoe and Helen Cunningham. He was self-employed and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Perryville. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Leonora Cunningham; two sons, Roscoe Cunningham of Harrodsburg and George Cunningham of Liberty; two daughters, Terri Ott and Kimberly Cunningham, both of Lexington; a brother, Harold Cunningham of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Stella Mae Bledsoe of Louisville; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ott, Christopher Bolner, Leonard Currens, Rusty Johnson, Anthony Hamlin and Joe Howard.

HARRODSBURG -- Quenton Taylor McMurry, 9-day-old son of Katrina Nicole McMurry of Clay Avenue died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, of natural causes.
Other survivors include his maternal grandmother, Pamela McMurry of Mercer County; and a godmother, Vicki McRay of Mercer County.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Spring Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Sam Stow. Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Loretta W. Stacey
DECATUR, Ill. -- Loretta W. Stacey, 77, of Decatur died Sunday at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Born June 3, 1922, in Holcomb, Mo., she was a daughter of the late Dempsey and Ida Bell Bridges Ward. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Claude L. Stacey Jr.; four daughters, Loretta D. Bailey of Rockford, Ill., Carol L. Sargent of Danville, Janet S. Rush and Mary E. Stacey, both of Decatur; a son, John R. Stacey of Phoenix City, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Dawson and Wikoff Colonial Chapel North. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital of natural causes.
Born Dec. 26, 1947, in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Ellen S. Woodrum Clements. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Survivors include four brothers, Fred, Harold, Albert and Joseph Clements, all of Cincinnati; and two sisters, Hazel Brooks and Nina Clements, both of Cincinnati.

He died Monday at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Born Sept. 3, 1931, in Casey County, he was a son of the late James K. and Rosie Russell Pemberton.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Douglas Pemberton; a daughter, Linda Schablik of West Point; a son, Junior W. Pemberton of Parksville; two sisters, Florence Pittman and Hazel Pittman, both of Stanford; three step grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry L. Pemberton.
Pallbearers were Stevie, Leroy, Billy and Jimmy Douglas, Earl Conder and Todd Carmickle.
