Eleanor Coleman Johnson
Eleanor Coleman Johnson, 91, of Kings Church Road, Taylorsville, formerly of Pikeville, die Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Louisville East Post Acute Care.
She was born in Pike County, May 26, 1925, the daughter of the late Fred and Maggie Coleman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Johnson; one brother, Raymond Coleman; and three sisters, Barbara Coleman, Nannie Mae Bartley and Sally M. Gilpin.
She is survived by one son, Ted Johnson (Ingeborg); one daughter, Sue Ward; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Lucas and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Kermit Wright and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.
Georgia Ann Little
Georgia Ann Little, 65, of Elkhorn City, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at her residence.
She was born in Pikeville, Nov. 18, 1950, a daughter of the late Lee and Ethel Price Spradlin.
Ann worked many years at the Landmark Motel. She enjoyed her pets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Little.
She is survived by her loving children; one son, Johnny Mack Little (Dana) of Elkhorn City; two daughters, Lora Branham of Shelbiana and Angelina Hamilton of Poorbottom Road; six grandchildren, John Austyn Little, David Ryan Branham, LeeAnn Hamilton, Taylor Branham, Juanita Paige Hamilton and Mylee Branham; one great-grandchild, Jaxen Tylor Branham; three brothers, Charles Spradlin of Prestonsburg, Johnny Branham and Mackie Branham, both of Elkhorn City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Whitetree and Terry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Chloe.
The family will accept friends after 6 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday, with nightly services at 7. Arrangements are under the direction of the Thacker memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Ryan Branham, Austyn Little, Mikey Potter, David Kinney, Robert Stewart and Kevin Hopkins.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and treasured her.
Katerina Jo Little
Katerina Jo Little, 54, of Bowling Fork, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Mouthcard.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Wilson Cemetery, Draffin. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.
Visitation is from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with nightly services at 7.
Ruth Neval Scott
Ruth Neval Scott, 74, of Mouthcard, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Scott family Cemetery, Draffin. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.
Visitation is from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with nightly services at 7.
Traci Louise Taylor
Traci Louise Taylor, 47, of Pikeville, died Monday, August 8, 2016, at her residence.
She was born in Pikeville, March 4, 1969, the daughter of the late Allen Eugene and Constance Yvonne “Rose” Blackburn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Taylor; two daughters, Breonna Rae Taylor and Kendra Taylor, both of Pikeville; two grandsons, Camron Jace Tackett and Landon James Forsyth of Pikeville; two granddaughters, Kaci Leighann Forsyth & Hannah Taylor; one sister, Miranda Forsyth (Justin) of Pikeville; and one brother, Donovan Blackburn (Debbie) of Pikeville.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 12, in the funeral home chapel with Buddy Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Branch Old Regular Baptist Church Cemetery on Lower Brushy, Johns Creek.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday in the Thacker Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Glenna Vanover
Glenna Vanover, 69, of Osborne Fork of Indian Creek, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1946, a daughter of the late Milton and Della Johnson Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verlon Vanover; four brothers, Carl Hall, Espee Hall, Darling Hall and Bennie Hall; one sister, Geneive Johnson; and one grandchild, Justin Cory Vanover.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Vanover (Krista) of Osborne Fork and one brother, Roy Hall (Linda) of Osborne Fork.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Aug. 13, at the Enterprise Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Ben Johnson Cemetery at Osborne Fork.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. on Thursday with nightly services at 7. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hall and Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Wanda Jean Bartley
Wanda Jean Bartley, 81, of Lick Branch of Caney, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1934, the daughter of the late George and Maxie Bartley Elswick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Annias Bartley; and two sons-in-law, Julius Bishop and Roy Collier.
She is survived by one son, Elbert Bartley (Linda Little) of Caney, three daughters, Roma Phillips (Alan), Rose Mullins (Ernest), Carrie Sue Bishop (Randy Wadsworth) all of Caney; two brothers, Eddie Elswick of Roanoke, Va., and Fred Elswick of Louisville; one sister, Jessie Scott of Louisville; an aunt, Hazel Kiser of Dayton, Ohio; an uncle, TJ Bartley of Vinton, Ohio, (who were more like her sister and brother); a special aunt and friend, Sarah Liz Mullins of Pikeville; 10 grandchildren, Trina Ray (Johnny) of Pikeville, Nathan Collier (Heather) of Owingsville, Melody Roberts (Maxwell), Jeremy Mullins (Karyl), John Matthew Mullins (Amanda) all of Lexington, Stacy Bishop (Cristene) of Nashville, Tn., Kevin Bishop of Cynthiana, Renee Haney (Charlie) of Ashland, and Heather Conley and Samual Bartley (Courtney) both of Pikeville; four step-grandchildren Maria Horth (Anthony) of Australia, Crystal Slone (Jamie) of Canada, Kari Dale (Heath) of Johns Creek, and Vanessa Gainey (Danny) of Georgetown; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-step- grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, in the Hall and Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Ernest Mullins and James A. Dotson officiating. Burial followed in the Annias Bartley Cemetery, Lick Branch. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hall and Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Bobby Gene Crum
Bobby Gene Crum, 67, of Chloe Road, died Sunday, Aug.7, 2016, at his residence.
He was born in Pikeville, Jan. 20, 1949, the son of the late George and Ida Simpson Crum.
He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Meta Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shanna Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Smith Crum; one son, Robert Crum (Deana) of Pikeville; three sisters, Rosie Thompson of Floyd County, Gloria Pugh of Pikeville and Pansy Crum of Somerset; and one grandchild, Preston Crum.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug.11, in the Meta Baptist Church with Bill Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Chloe.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the J.W. Call Funeral Home of Pikeville.

Brian Keith Elkins, 49, of Ashcamp, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016.

Sylvia Ann Maynard
Sylvia Ann Maynard, 84, of Williamson, W.Va., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Pikeville Medical Center.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at the Chattaroy Church of God with Haskell Runyon Jr. officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry.
Bennett D. Sawyers
Bennett D. Sawyers, 68, of Lick Creek Rd., died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at his residence.
He was in Pike County, June 19, 1948, the son of the late Tom and Ora Hunt Sawyers.
He was a coal miner and a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Smith Sawyers and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by one son, Joseph Sawyers (Erica MacDonald); two sisters, Grace Williamson of Lick Creek and Olga Bickford of Rockhouse; two special nephews, Ronald Ray Abshire and Norman Stump; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, from the Lick Creek Holiness Church with Ray Sawyers and Plennie Gail Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Sayers Cemetery, Lick Creek.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday, at the church, with special services at 7. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.
