Janet Ratliff
Janet Anderson Ratliff, 65, of East Big Creek Road, Canada, died Thursday, October 1, 2015, at her home.
She was born June 30, 1950, in Pike County, the daughter of the late Lundy Lawson and Lily Elizabeth Smith Fuller.
She was a homemaker, was of the Christian faith and was a member of American Sewing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Anderson; and four brothers, Richard Fuller, Ronald Fuller, Freddy Dean Fuller and Larry Dale Fuller.
She is survived by two sons, Freddie (Sherry) Anderson and Keith (Nicole) Anderson; a daughter, Elizabeth Justus; two sisters, Linda Dotson and Kathy Fuller Russell; and eight grandchildren, Aaron, Richard, Joshua, Kaiden, Addison, Krista, Rhiannon and Harry.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with Opie Ray Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Phelps.
Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
Georgia Taylor
Georgia F. Taylor, 81, of Bean Station, Tenn., died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Morristown Hamblen Hospital.
She was born February, 24, 1934, in Pike County, the daughter of the late Bert and Opal Newsome Hamilton.
She worked in the C.A.P. office.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Duran France and an infant son, Rex.
She is survived by her husband, Don Taylor; two sons, Bert D. (Carol) France and Marty (Teresa) France; a daughter, Colleen Susie (Gary) Damron; three stepchildren, Connie Glen Taylor, Donna Lynn (James) Bryant, and Bradley (Pamela) Taylor; half sisters Betty Roberts, Juanita Blair and Edna Clark; stepsister, Ann McCown Coleman; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 28, at Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Johnson Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
Larry Collins
Larry Collins, 61, of Barbourville, W.Va., died Monday, September 28, 2015.
A private memorial service will be held at alater date.

Basil Kelly
Basil Kelly, 94, of Shelby Gap, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at the Hospice Center in Hazard.
He was born December 4, 1920, the son of the late Dave and Oma Kelly.
He was a retired carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Rose Kelly; a sister, Roxie Johnson; and six brothers, James, Chester, Lester, Dave, Mel and Jack; and a daughter-in-law, Anna Kelly.
He is survived by five sons, David “Conn” (Evelyn) Kelly of Flemingsburg, Thadeus Kelly of Mountain City, Tenn., Alvis (Iris) Kelly of Shelby Gap, Tracy Kelly of Shelby Gap and Verlin (Bonnie) Kelly of Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Linda (Phillip) Charles of Shelby Gap, and Wanda (Keith) Kelly-Grijalva of Hendersonville, N.C.; a brother, Joe Kelly of Shelby Gap; a sister, Martha Johnson of Dorton; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church with Dolph Kelly and Shawn Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
Visitation will be held at the church Friday, with services at 7 p.m.

Jacqueline Kendrick
Jacqueline Thompson Kendrick, 77, of Raccoon, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at her home.
She was born July 17, 1938, at Raccoon, the daughter of the late Amos and Martha Thompson.
She was a retired postmaster from the U.S. Postal Service at Raccoon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruey Kendrick; a brother, Paul David Thompson; and two sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Mary Joyce Hopson.
She is survived by two sons, Tracy Ruey Kendrick and Steven Kendrick; two daughters, Brigetta Collins Darnell and Tammie Jo Adkins; six brothers, Ernest Thompson, Joe Thompson, Charles Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Larry Thompson and Barry Thompson; four sisters, Nell Tackett, Judy Muncy, Ann Meade, Doris (Joan) Neiderriter; and three grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, October 2, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, Pikeville, with Mike Hopson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
Arrangements are under direction of Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
“Jackie” Kerr
Jacqueline “Jackie” Kerr, 86, of Elkhorn City, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born October 16, 1928, at Hellier, the daughter of the late A.D. and Zelma Loveday.
She was a cosmetologist and a member of the Elkhorn City United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Bub” Kerr; a brother, Robert Earl Bartley; and a step-grandson, Darrin Compton.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Kent (Robin) Kerr of Pikeville; a daughter, Vickie Kerr (David) Compton of Elkhorn City; five grandchildren, Lisa Good, Lindsay Hager Tabor, Lori Jacobson, Justin Kerr and Kelli Kerr; two step-grandchildren, Ben Scott and Seth Scott; eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Good, Ethan Good, Nicholas Good, Gracie Good, Emily Hager, Mikey Hager, Bella Jacobson and Mason Kent Kerr; two step-great-grandchildren, Amanda Compton and Asa Scott; and special caregivers, Vickie Fraley, Teresa Lester and Glenna Sawyers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 2, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Elkhorn City, with Jim Ed Belcher and Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin.

Carl Mullins
Carl D. Mullins, 72, of Wyandotte, Mich., formerly of Virgie, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, in Michigan.
He was born May 5, 1943, in Pike County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John (Jeri) Mullins; a brother, Frank (Lakey) Mullins; and two sisters, Mildred Tackett and Phyllis Tackett.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; sons, Jeff (Carolyn) Mullins, Shawn Mullins; brothers, Roy and Maloy (Zania); sisters, Lois (Clemit) Tackett, Yvonne Hampton, Shelby (Johnny) Baker; grandchildren, Sydney, Spencer, Aidan, Cole and Fallon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held at noon, Thursday, October 1, at the Allen Park Chapel in Allen Park, Mich. Burial followed in the Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron Township, Mich.
Arrangements were under direction of Martenson Funeral Home in Michigan.

Bellah Quinn
Bellah Hamilton Quinn, 75, of Booker Fork, Pikeville, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born March 5, 1940, at Pikeville, the daughter of the late Sol and Lovenia Hamilton.
She was retired from the Kellogg’s Company and a member of the Faith Baptist Church at Myra.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John L. Hamilton, William Hamilton and Sam Hamilton; and three sisters, Melvina Newsome, Opal Trout and Mae Hamilton.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Quinn; a son, James (Charla) Quinn; a daughter, Heather Quinn; a brother, Jay Hamilton; two sisters, Mae Tackett and Madeline Tackett; and three grandchildren, Jalan, Abby and Ethan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 3, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, Pikeville, with Dave Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church, with special services at 7 p.m., Friday.

Charles Edward Ratliff, 83, of Pikeville, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2015, at the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery, Shelbiana.
