LANCASTER -- Services for Mauhee Ledford, 71, of Richmond were Saturday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Cecil Burns. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital, Richmond.
Born June 7, 1928, in Bell County, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Amanda Saylor. She was a homemaker and member of Gloryland Baptist Church. She was the widow of Bobby Ledford.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis J. Denny of Richmond; four sons, Alonzo Powell of Franklin, Ohio, Lester Powell of Crab Orchard, Albert Powell of Richmond and Reed Ledford of Berea; two brothers, A.D. Saylor of Garrard County and Lester Saylor of Richmond, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alonzo Powell, Johnny Denny, Alonzo Denny Jr., Danny Preston, Brian Powell and Jared Ledford.

STANFORD -- Ethel Miracle, 88, of Stanford died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born April 18, 1911, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Linda Jane Arnett. She was a homemaker and a member of Green River Primitive Baptist church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary King. Burial will be in Miracle Cemetery.
Visitation is after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

PERRYVILLE -- Charles R. Scott Jr., 52, of U.S. 68 West died today at his home of natural causes.
He was the husband of Linda Scott.

Edgar G. Craig
PERRYVILLE -- Services for Edgar George Craig, 76, of Carrigan Drive, Danville, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Payton. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
He died Friday at his home.
Born Sept. 25, 1923, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late William A. and Virginia Belle Worthington Craig. He was a retired manager of the old Gem Supply Store for over 20 years and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and was involved in the battle of Iwo Jima. He was a member of Boyle Post 46, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Craig; a son, Ed Craig of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Phyllis Ray of Stanford and Sharon Karnes of Bainbridge, Ga.; two brothers, Joe Craig of Junction City and Dewey Craig of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Martha Crowe of Junction City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Henry Lutes, W.H. Pelley, Paul Pelley, David Craig, Glen Hudman and Bobby Shepperson. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Karnes, Craig Karnes, Terry Karnes and John Montgomery.

Edgar George Craig, 76, of Carrigan Drive died Friday at his residence.

Jerry M. Middleton
Jerry Martin Middleton, 59, of Lexington, formerly of Danville, died Thursday at Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born Nov. 28, 1940, he was a son of the late James "Tete" Middleton and Zilfia Jones Middleton.
He was a retired manufacturing worker and attended Ando-ver United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his fiancé Huberta Arnold; a daughter, Vicki Jo Middleton of Haines City, Fla.; two sons, James Owen and Christopher D. Middleton, both of Haines City, Fla.; a sister, Linda Denny of Danville; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. J.R. Johnson. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Visitation is after 11:30 a.m. Monday.

PERRYVILLE -- Elizabeth Preston Underwood, 93, of Lebanon Road died Friday at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor.
Born April 5, 1906, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Almira Clem Preston. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Ted, Clifton and Sherman Phillips.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Underwood; a daughter, Dolly Rogers; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Ernest "Dinky" Roy
LIBERTY-- Ernest "Dinky" Roy, 85, died Saturday at Liberty Care Center.
Born Feb. 20, 1914, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Fred B. and Mary D. Hopper Haggard and the adopted son of the late Ed and Lillie Roy.
He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of Poplar Hill Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Zerelza Buis Roy; a daughter, Loretta J. Byrd of Erlanger; a son, Ernest Roy Jr. of Elmwood Place, Ohio; a stepson, Farel Buis of Reading, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Rosella Farir of Cincinnati, Ohio; a nephew, Gregory Buis of Dayton, Ohio; several brothers and sisters; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

NICHOLASVILLE -- Betty D. Wade, 84, of Ky. 2141, Stanford, died Saturday at Stanford House Nursing Home.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Cora Peel Ware. She was the widow of Thomas E. Wade Sr. and belonged to Nicholasville Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Wilcher of Stanford and Betty Jo Holman and Della Highet, both of Nicholasville; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas E. Wade Jr. and James Franklin Wade.

He died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 4, 1921, in Casey County, he was the son of the late George Washington Austin and Ruth Ellen Carman Austin. He was retired from Southern Railroad and was a member of Corinth Church of God. He was the widower of Naomi Napier Austin.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Owen Austin of Kings Mountain and Roy Arnold Austin of Greenwood, Ind.; a daughter, Renita Gail Roach of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Robert Godbey
LIBERTY -- Services for Robert "Bob" Godbey, 49, of Liberty will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bartle Funeral Home by Wendell Douglas and David Terwilliger. Burial will be in Valley Oak Cemetery.
He died Thursday in Jellico, Tenn., as a result of a drilling accident. He was a drill operator for Hinkle Construction.
Born Jan. 15, 1951, in Casey County, he was the son of the late James and Manilla Vaught Godbey. He was a Navy veteran, a member of Junction City Church of God, and a former Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include a son, Chris Godbey of Junction City; a daughter, Tracy Burchett of McKinney; a brother, Norman Godbey of Perryville; two sisters, Rose Murphy of Liberty and Linda White of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren.
