Michael Bennett Fields, 36, of Frozen Creek, Pikeville, passed from this earthly life on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1974, a son of Willis Fields and the late Betty Holloway. He was a member of the Allen Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bethanie Statan Fields; one son, Sean Bennett; an unborn daughter, Mary Allison Fields; two brothers, Willis Jr. Fields and his wife Francie of Elkhard, Indiana, and Jamie Fields and his wife Tara of Marrowbone, Kentucky; two sisters, Carolyn Ferrel and her husband Randy of Banner, Kentucky, and Brandi Meade and her husband Brian of Stanville, Kentucky; and also by a host of nieces and nephews.
Michael also leaves behind many other friends and loved ones to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Fred Elswick, 85, of Bent Branch Road, Pikeville, passed from this earthly life on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on June 21, 1925, a son of the late Kenis and Dixie (Charles) Elswick. He worked for N&W; Railroad, and was a self-employed welder.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by three brothers, Fonso, Truman, and John Elswick; and by three sisters, Opal Smith, Garnett Blackburn, and Ruby Elswick.
He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Rose McCoy of Pikeville and Gwendolyn Blair and her husband Johnny Mike of Cape Coral, Florida; one sister, Betty Branham of Pikeville; and by three grandchildren, Millie Mims Toth and her husband Joseph, John Michael Blair and his wife Melissa, and Benjamin McCoy.
Fred also leaves behind many other friends and loved ones to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Johnny E. C. Pinion, 57, of Kimper, Kentucky passed from this earthly life Tuesday September 28, 2010 at Pikeville Medical Center.
Johnny was born in Pike County, Kentucky, April 12, 1953, a son of the late Garland and Sophia (Slone) Pinion. He was a desabled coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Slone Pinion; one son, Michael Johnny Pinion; two brothers, Garland Edward Pinion and Ronnie Pinion; three sisters, Helen Jean Pinion Hess, Minnie Ann Pinion and Jeraline Pinion.
He is survived by one son, Brian Keith Pinion and his wife Crystal of Kimper; two brothers, Garland Jr. Pinion and and his wife Phyllis, Terry Pinion and his wife Michelle; three sisters, Dixie Pinion Justice and her husband Mark, Geraldine Pinion Thacker and her husband Lunner, and Joyce Pinion Spears and her husband Roy; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sheyenne Pinion, Bradley Michael Pinion, Donald Ray Rogers, and Rocky Spears; and by his companion, Frona Lee Justice.
Johnny also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Ellis Lee (Bub) Cline, 55, of Hazel Green, Alabama passed from this earthly life on Thursday September 23, 2010. (Bub) was born on July 21, 1955, the son of the late Ellis and Claudia (Stanley) Cline.
In addition to his parents, (Bub) was preceded in death by one brother, Winfred Cline and by one sister, Tessie Cline.
He is survived by one brother, Windle Cline of Pikeville, Kentucky and by two sisters, Ressie Glass of Brockport, New York and Mary Lou Churchwell of Hazel Green, Alabama.

Lonzie Lee Williams, 70, of Pikeville, Kentucky passed from this earthly life on Sunday August 15, 2010 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on April 13, 1940, a son of the late Walter and Lexie (Newsome) Williams. He was a retired Coal Miner and was a member of the Old Time Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Lonzie was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Parsons; three brothers, Paul, Charles, and Walter Jr. Williams; three sisters, Pearl Gibson, Lou Ella Wheeler, and Mary Katherine Williams; and a very special niece, Tammy Bartley.
Lonzie is survived by his loving wife, Carrie (Parsons) Williams; three sons, Teddy Wayne Williams and his wife Stephanie of Pikeville, Robert Lee Williams of Pikeville, Donald Williams and his wife Rachel of Pikeville; two daughters, Janie Reynolds of Pikeville, and Sharon Foley and her husband Jeff of Elkhorn City; one brother, Riley Williams of Rochester, New York; three sisters, Jacquline Blackey of Clifton Springs, New York, Donna Louise Williams of Clifton Springs, New York, and Gracie Williams of Rochester, New York. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jonathan Riley Coleman, 51, was born on July 4, 1959, and he passed away August 13, 2010 at his home. He was employed at McMining, but was known in the community as a skilled tradesman in building, construction, and maintenance (John of all trades). He also served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was also a member of the Kimper Community Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya (Bevins) Coleman; son, Jonathan Andrew Coleman (Amanda); two grandchildren, J.D. and Hannah; his parents, Roger Bruce and Esther Coleman; two brothers, Rooger D. Coleman (Judy) and Willard D. Coleman; five sisters, Sandra McCoy (Gary), Mary Worrix (Donny), Sheila Miller (David), Darlene McCoy (Danny), Bernice Damron (Robert), all of Raccoon; mother-in-law, Drema Bevins; sister-in-laws, Vickie Damron (Dempsey) and Charlotte Adkins (Mike); and many other saddened aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday at 7:00 p.m. with services Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday with Shannon Bryant officiating. His final resting place will be in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Slones Branch, Raccoon Creek. Arrangements are under the direction of the Community Funeral Home of Zebulon.

Donnie Dewayne Harris, 39, of Frozen Creek Rd, Raccoon, Kentucky passed from this earthly life Sunday August 8, 2010 at his home.
He was born Tuesday March 2, 1971 in Lexington, Kentucky, a son of Donnie Ray and Pricy Faye (Slone) Harris of Pikeville, Kentucky. Dewayne was a coal miner for McCoy Elkhorn Coal Company.
Other than his parents, he is survived by two sons; Zack Harris of Raccoon, Kentucky and Reed Harris of Bradford, Tennessee, one daughter; Allie Harris of Bradford, Tennessee, two brothers; Kerry and his wife Dawn Harris of Blackburn Bottom, Kimper, Kentucky, Terry and his wife Sarah Harris of Indian Creek, Virgie, Kentucky, six uncles and five aunts, one niece and four nephews. He is also survived by a his fiance Rachel Mayhorn and her children Carly and J.J. of the home and his best friend Dewayne Johnson.
Dewayne also leaves behind a host of other loving relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

Elbert Blackburn, Jr., 81, of Lower Johns Creek passed from this earthly life on Saturday August 28, 2010 at his residence. He was a son of the late Elbert and Antha Blackburn. Elbert was a petroleum truck driver for Texaco and was a member of the Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Elbert was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Endicott Blackburn; his second wife, Oma Music Blackburn; and by two sisters, Mageline Endicott and Justine Runyon.
Elbert is survived by his wife, Justine Runyon Blackburn; two sons, John Henry Blackburn and his wife Lenora of Blue River, Ky. And Bert Blackburn and his wife Lisa of Hazard, Ky.; four daughters, Carol Osborne of Flat Gap, Ky., Georgia Thomas and her husband George of West Liberty, Ky., Sandra Clark and her husband Jerry of Paintsville, Ky., and Jenny Kendrick and her husband Don of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Eugene Blackburn of Floyd County, Ky., and three sisters, Margaret Burchett of Pike County, Ky., Joan Garrett of Floyd County, Ky., and Nelva Johnston of New York.
