HARRODSBURG -- Ser-vices for Frances Wine, 74, of Harrodsburg will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Stewart Dawson. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Danville.
She died Sunday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1925, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Brian and Bernie L. Young Boyd. She was a retired employee of Palm Beach Co. in Danville and Cricketeer in Harrodsburg. She was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, Danville.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Wine of Mercer County; a daughter, Iris Vinyard of Mercer County; four brothers, Ralph and Ronald Boyd, both of Boyle County, Gene and Kenneth Boyd, both of Lincoln County; a half brother, Woodrow Boyd of Pennsylvania; four sisters, Christine Wadella of Ohio; Opal Brown of Boyle County, Doris Snow and Virginia Brown, both of Lincoln County; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Ron, Pat, Kenneth and Carl Boyd, Gary Whitis and David Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Tim Buck, Terry Parnell, Harvey and Odell Morris, Arnold Freeman and Ernie Vinyard.
Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Mary E. Foster
Mary Elsie Foster, 85, of Springhill Road, died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 23, 1914, in Oakdale, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late John and Mary E. Oaks Ootten. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a charter member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and a member of Fideles Sunday School class. She was the widow of Harold Foster.
Survivors include two sons, Carl S. Foster of Danville and James C. Foster of Canton, Ohio; a daughter, Carolyn S. Decker of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Foster.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home and 11 a.m. Friday until time of service at the church.

Billy Norvell
PERRYVILLE -- John William Norvell, 74, of Hays Lane, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 5, 1925, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Johnnie and Opal Stewart Norvell. He was a self-employed farmer and a floor manager for Burley Tobacco Warehouse in Danville for 40 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Perryville Baptist Church. He was a former director of the Boyle County Stockyards and Boyle County Farm Bureau. He also was a member of the Battlefield American Legion Post.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie Jane Stewart Norvell; a daughter, Shirley Harden of Perryville; a son, Billy S. Norvell of Perryville; a sister, Jeanne Bottoms of Perryville; a brother, Tommy Norvell of Danville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Ron Holman. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today

LANCASTER -- Paul R. Foley, 84, of Kirksville Road died Sunday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond.
Born Dec. 17, 1915, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late S.R. and Sara McHargue Foley. He was a retired farmer, a former election officer and an Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service committeeman. He also was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and was a World War II veteran. He was the widower of Veta Sebastian Foley.
Survivors include a son, Darwin Foley of Shelbyville; a daughter, Paulette Osborne of Lancaster; four sisters, Leora Prewitt and Inis J. Carter, both of Somerset, Ethel M. Sutton of Lancaster, and Mary R. Broaddus of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Ralph Shepperson, Zora Oliver and Brian Malcom. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Norman Oliver, Bobby Prewitt, Steve Moore, Earl Foley Jr., Barry Walton, Wayne Broaddus , Rick Sutton and Billy Broaddus.

HARRODSBURG -- George Vaught Steele, 60, of Scooter Avenue, died Sunday at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Born Nov. 26, 1939, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Henry C. and Marie Montgomery Steele. He was a retired employee of Square D, a member of Pioneer Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Steele of Franklin, Va., and Brandon Steele of Danville; three daughters, Melissa Cutter of Danville, Ann Kelly of Lawrenceburg and Kristi Steele of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Billy Steele of Harrodsburg, Danny Steele of Parksville and Henry Steele Jr. of Taylorsville; three sisters, Bonnie Teater and Gladys Lozier, both of Harrodsburg and Mary Evelyn Sadler of Lawrenceburg; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Revs. Lewis Walters and Gerel Coffey. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

She died Friday at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Born March 16, 1913, in Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar L. and Nancy A. Rich West. She was a former cook at Village Restaurant and a member of Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Ellis Bolt and Stanley Bernard.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Garrett of Campbellsville, Fredia Davis of Archdale, N.C., and Marjorie Linkenhoker of Franklin, Ind.; three sons, Howard Bolt of Liberty, Chester Bolt of Indianapolis, and Roger Bolt of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Stella Wingler of Mason, Ohio, Letha Dickerson of Barnetts Creek and Ruby Brown of Cincinnati; three brothers, Joe West of Lexington, Paul West of Columbia and Scott West of Cincinnati; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Born March 9, 1932 in Casey County, she was a daughter of Gertrude Hayes of Liberty and the late Gather Clay Taylor. She was a retired employee of Corning Glass in Danville and a member of Junction City Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Callison of Lexington and Patrician Gearheart of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, James Mark Lane of Casey County; a brother, Gerald Taylor of Ogden, Utah; four sisters, June Bell of Louisville, Faye McQueary and Glenna Bryant, both of Liberty, and Imogene Davis of Bowling Green; and a grandchild.

He was a retired farmer, a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Leavell Arnold; a son, Richard L. Arnold of Paint Lick; a daughter, Dolly Cranmer of Key West, Fla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
