STANFORD -- Services for Sharon Lawrence, 51, of Somerset Street will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home by Jim Cook, Allan Sparks and Walter Bowling. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Stanford House nursing home of natural causes.
Born Sept. 23, 1948, in Fayette County, she was a daughter of Jerry Kearns Ryan of Lexington and the late Phillip Ryan. She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Full Church.
Other survivors include her husband, Norman Lawrence; two sons, Norman J. Lawrence of Stanford and Phillip Abney of Lexington; a daughter, Jennifer Francis of Richmond; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Fraley, Jimmy Adams, Mike Singleton, Donald Crain, Eugene Lawrence and Chris Singleton.
Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Rebel, George Elliott, O'Neil Bolton and Brian Singleton.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

LIBERTY -- Sherwood Murphy, 84, of Murphy Valley Road will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Joey Murphy and Clifton Cowan. Burial will be in Murphy Cemetery.
He died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 13, 1915, in Casey County, he was a son of Lucy Allen Murphy of Liberty and the late G.W. Murphy. He was a retired self-employed construction worker and a member and deacon of Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cloma Elliott Murphy; a son, Jerry Murphy of Liberty; two brothers, Sherman Murphy of Louisville and Edwin Murphy of Liberty; four sisters, Myrtle Harmon of Danville and Mattie Decker of Tazewell, Tenn., Irene Lay of Dunnville and Helena McDonald of Liberty; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Reva Murphy and George Murphy.

Born May 30, 1901, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late G.T. and Elva Burns Sanford. She was retired from Palm Beach Co., and was a member of Bohon Church of Christ. She was the widow of Cecil Peavler.
Survivors include three sisters, Neoma Hatchett of Austell, Ga., Alma Reynolds of Salvisa and Vertna Lay of DeKalb, Ill.
Pallbearers will be Jim Hatchett, Delbert Reynolds, Brad Railey, Wess Reynolds, Frank Preston and Walter Reynolds.

She died Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born April 29, 1910, in South Bend, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Lois and Arthur Rumph.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of DePauw Univer-sity. She was the widow of Louis E. Kelly.
Survivors include a daughter, Ronnie Smith of Danville; a son, James N. Kelly of London, England; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
