Tim Caldwell
Tim Caldwell, 56, of Lovely, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at his home.
He was born in Logan, W.Va., Aug. 19, 1958, the son of Opal Rose McClure of Montgomery, W.Va., and the late Emmil E. Rodgers.
He was a retired coal miner, formerly employed by Marrowbone Development, and was a member of the Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles McClure; and an infant sister, Dorlena Rodgers.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Pamela Susan Smith Caldwell; three sisters, Aileen Heller of Orlando, Fla., Leshia Harrison of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Brenda Estep of Winifrede, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. John Taylor and the Rev. Bobby Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.Va. Arrangements are under direction of Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler.
Visitation is from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, with special services at 7 p.m., at the church.
Marvin Lewis
Marvin D. Lewis, 67, of Louisville, formerly of Whitesburg, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
He was born July 4, 1947, the son of the late Martin Dixon and Mattie Hampton Lewis.
He is survived by one son, Christopher D. Lewis of Louisville; one daughter, Tina A. White of Louisville; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, in the Hall & Jones Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Mouth of Sandlick Cemetery, Whitesburg. Arrangements are under direction of Hall & Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Bernice Macier
Bernice Lucile Macier, 78, of Naples, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.
She was born in Hardy, the daughter of the late Ernest R. and Mary Ellen (Myers) Moore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Robert, Ernest, Tom, Imogene, Wanda, Beulah, Vivian and Winis.
She was employed at the Fort Sheridan Military Base in Illinois for more than 15 years and the Collier County Sheriff's Office for 11 years, and was active in the First Congregational Church of Naples.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond Macier; two daughters, Rhonda Lathen of Parkland, Fla., and Robin Crawford of Firestone, Colo.; one son, Jeremy Macier of Naples; one sister, Ethel Thompson of Alabama; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in the First Congregational Church of Naples.

Leona Parsons
Leona L. Parsons, 65, of Fayetteville, Pa., formerly of Pikeville, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
She was born in Pikeville, April 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Willie and Ethel Yates Madden.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and two granddaughters.
She is survived by her companion of 25 years, Jacob J. Pine of Fayetteville; four children, Lynn Rice (Benjamin) of Pikeville, David Adkins of Chambersburg, William Adkins (Nancy) of Fayetteville and Shannon Adkins (Pamela) of Shippensburg, Pa.; two sisters, Phyllis Madden of Michigan and Susan Reed of Pikeville; two brothers, Elmer Madden and Ralph Madden, both of Pikeville; 15 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. Arrangements are under direction of Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home of Chambersburg.
Gary Stiltner Jr.
Gary Stiltner Jr., 41, of Ashcamp, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, in Smyrna, Del.
He was born in Pikeville, May 31, 1973, the son of Belinda Pressley Stiltner of Smyrna and the late Gary Stiltner Sr.
He was a mechanic.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Dalton Stiltner of Raccoon; two daughters, Megan Stiltner of Allegheny and Bailey Jo Stiltner of Raccoon; and one sister, Karen Dotson of Ashcamp.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Seth Haynes and Pete Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the Francisco Cemetery, Ashcamp. Arrangements are under direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday.
Helen Swader
Helen R. Swader, 88, of Williamson, W.Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Trinity Healthcare.
She was born in Williamson, Oct. 25, 1926, the daughter of the late William H. "Hugh" Swader and Nora Mabes Swader.
She went to work straight out of high school at G. C. Murphy's where she was an assistant manager, and was of the Baptist faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel V. Swader Barrett and Gladys Swader Maynard; and two brothers, Everett Swader and Richard Swader.
She is survived by one sister, Frances Swader Barrett of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy. Arrangements are under direction of R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday.
Juanita Waskey
Juanita Cowden Waskey, 95, of Pikeville, formerly of Stone, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at Cedar Creek Assisted Living, Pikeville.
She was born at McVeigh, Feb. 8, 1919, the daughter of the late Lindsey Joseph and Rose Bethuram Cowden.
She was a secretary at Ford Motor Company, Stone, and Eastern Coal Company in the Safety Department. For many years, she was a member of the Stone United Methodist Church and in recent years enjoyed membership at the First Presbyterian Church of Williamson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Waskey, whom she married
May 17, 1947; and one brother, Elmer Clyde Cowden.
She is survived by her niece, Margaret Ann Cowden of Greenport, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, in the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Hisle officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy. Arrangements are under direction of R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry.
Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Eric Adkins
Eric Jason Adkins, 41, of Elkhorn City, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born in Pikeville, Jan. 30, 1973, the son of Johnny Ray Adkins and Judy Compton Adkins.
He was disabled, employed by CSL Plasma and belonged to the DeMolay organization.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sharine Mihankhah Adkins; two sons, Dylan Larmour and Alex Larmour; three daughters, Jondra Adkins, Alyssa Adkins and Dakotah Adkins; one brother, Gerry Thomas Adkins; one sister, Debbie Lynn Adkins; and one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Gibson and Adam Akers officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.
Clifford Ball
Clifford Ball, 60, of Radcliff, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was born at Fort Knox, March 24, 1954, the son of Virgil Ball of Elizabethtown and the late Edna Mae Blackburn Shanks.
He was a grocery store manager.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walton Shanks Jr.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, A.J. Ball of Sheffield, Ala.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Hershel Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, East Shelbiana. Arrangements are under direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Elkhorn City.
Military services will be conducted by Elkhorn City DAV Chapter #140.

Liza Blankenship
Liza Jane Blankenship, 69, of Teaberry, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Signature Healthcare, Pikeville.
She was born in Pikeville, March 26, 1945, the daughter of the late Dennis and Dorsie Jones.
She was a homemaker.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Blankenship; and five siblings, Effort Jones, Halter Jones, Willie Jones, Arizona Tackett and Elvie Jones.
She is survived by one son, Foster Jr. Blankenship of Teaberry; one sister, Artie Tackett of Beaver; and three grandchildren, Michael Blankenship, Heaven Blankenship and Marissa Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in the Samaria Old Regular Baptist Church, Teaberry, with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Edward Lee Blankenship Cemetery, Tinker Fork, Teaberry. Arrangements are under direction of Nelson Frazier Funeral Home of Martin.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday, at the church.
