Virgie Epling
Virgie Belle Epling, 58, of Zebulon, Ky., died Monday, June 15, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Born January 1, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Perry Lee Sr. and Opal Mae (Williamson) Estoll.
She was a surgical technician at Pikeville Medical Center and a member of the Zebulon Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Epling of Zebulon; son, Joshua (Jennifer) Epling and daughter, April (Gary) Goff, all of Zebulon; siblings, Perry Lee Estoll of Lower Johns Creek and Jackie Marshall of Florence; five grandchildren, Jacob, Liberty, Asher, Elora and Zander.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Full Gospel Christian Church, Hurricane/Pikeville, with Keith Collins officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 - 10 p.m., Wednesday, at Community Funeral Home and after 2 p.m., Thursday, at the Full Gospel Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Community Funeral Home, Zebulon.
Patricia Fields
Patricia Carole Fields, 76, of Island Creek, passed away at her home June 14, 2015.
Born March 14, 1939, at Paintsville, she was a daughter of the late Gene and Irene Preston Baldridge.
She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Baldridge and her dog, Foxy.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Fields; step-son Mike Fields, of Pikeville; three step-daughters, Melissa (Clayton) Potter, Stacie (Chris) Hall and Amy (Jimmy) Farmer, all of Pikeville; two sisters, Peggy Doyle of Winchester and Yvonne Burchett of Paintsville; nine step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; three nephews, Jeff Doyle, Stuart Doyle and Brian Baldridge and three nieces, Lynn Doyle, Terry Baldridge and Amy Williams.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel, with Charles Justice officiating.
Burial will follow in the Sword Cemetery at Island Creek in Pikeville.
Visitation will in in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel, with services each evening at 7 p.m., with Regular Baptist ministers officiating.
Arrangements are under the directions of the J.W. Call and Son Funeral Home.
Mary Fulford
Mary Lou Fulford, 77, of Prestonsburg, died June 15, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Faith Independent Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the church.

Jeffery Hatfield
Jeffery Neal Hatfield, 51, of Huddy, Ky., passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Ky.
Born December 11, 1963, at Williamson, W.Va., he was a son of the late Joe Edward and Wilma Nell McCoy Hatfield.
Jeff was a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Pikeville Rotary Club, Past President of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, an alumnus of the University of Kentucky and an avid UK fan and cruiser. He was a faithful member of the Stone United Methodist Church, where he blessed the congregation with his beautiful voice.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Albert Keesee.
Survivors include his loving wife, Gina Keesee Hatfield of Huddy; sister, Shiela Ann Hatfield Boardman of Frankfort; mother-in-law, Linda Keesee of Belfry; sister-in-law, Tara (Josh) Obrien of Clinton, Mont.; nephew, Aedan O’Brien and niece, Ashling O’Brien, both of Clinton, Mont.; his special friends, Treva Coleman of Shelbyville, Ky., Jimmy Shipp, of Lexington, Lonnie Ellis of South Williamson, Ky. and Tammy West of Stone and a host of other loving family and friends.
There will be a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Jeff’s memory.

Anna Johnson
Anna Johnson, 61 of Robinson Creek, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born in Letcher County, November 25, 1953 the daughter of the late Arthur Pete Burke and Lettie Jane Johnson Tackett.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her step-dad Bobby Tackett, a still born baby and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Wayne Johnson Sr.; one son, Danny Wayne Johnson Jr.; two daughters, Anna Jean Johnson Slone (Tommy) and Danya Niece(Clarence); two brothers, Bobby Burke and Cleo Tackett; one sister, Brenda Tackett; four grandchildren, ; Wayne Allen Slone, Brady Michael Slone, Daniana Kaylabella Niece, and Bobby Daniel Niece.
Funeral Services were held Monday at 11 am in the Hall and Jones Funeral Home Chapel with George Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the RH Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana.
Arrangements were under direction of Hall and Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Thurman Johnson
Thurman Johnson, 75, of Pikeville, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at Rockcastle Regional and Respiratory Care.
Born June 22, 1939, he was a son of the late Homer and Lula (Burke) Johnson.
Thurman was an Army veteran, retired coal miner and mine inspector. He was a member of the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Truby Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Martin Johnson; daughter Denise (Jeff) Compton and grandchild, Martha Paige Newsom.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2015, at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with minister Adam Akers officiating.
Burial followed in the Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
Christine Kendrick
Christine Kendrick, 89, formerly of Shelbiana, Ky., passed away in Tennessee Friday, June 12, 2015.
She was born January 23, 1926, to the late David and Naomi Coleman.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Perry Kendrick two sons, Perry Kendrick Jr., and Eddie Ray Kendrick.
Christine is survived by her two sons, Harold Dean Kendrick and Gary Douglas Kendrick; one daughter, Shelbia Diane Williamson; their families and a host of family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 11 a.m., with Jimmy Jack Adkins, Jimmy Reed Adkins, and Billy Compton officiating.
Entombment followed in the J.U. Thacker Mausoleum at Annie E. Young Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Thacker Memorial Funeral Home, Pikeville, Ky.
Brenda Rose
Brenda Carol Rose, 66 of McVeigh, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the Tug Valley Regional Medical Ceter, South Williamson, KY.
She was born September 18, 1948, at McAndrews, KY, the daughter of the late Rev. Edgar and Mary Ellen Stump West. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson Rose; sister, Linda Chapman and brother, Ronald West.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Octavia Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Randall (Tammy) West of Pinsonfork, KY, Paul (Jean) Rose of Ohio and William Edgar Rose of Pinsonfork, KY; daughter, Shannon (Manuel) Ball of Goodman, WV; sisters, Emilye Ball of Morehead, KY, Joyce Coleman of South Carolina, Angela West of Pinsonfork, KY and Melissa Vandyke of Virginia; brothers, Billy West of Belfry, KY, Charles West, Donald West and Russell West all of Pinsonfork, KY and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 11 am in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Elizabeth Blanton and Gerria Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery, Canada, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 - 9 PM in the funeral home chapel. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry is in charge of arrangements.
Willie Lee Salisbury
Willie Lee Salisbury age 14, of Hueysville, Ky passed away Friday, June 12, 2015. Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 17th at Nelson Frazier Funeral home. Burial will be at Gethsemane Gardens in Prestonsburg.

James B. “Pug” White, 83, of Williamson, W.Va., died Monday, June 15, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel, Toler, Ky., with Rev. Alfred Setser officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens at Pecks Mill, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 6 - 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Jack Ashley
Jack Ashley, 87, of Robinson Creek, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the Garden of Western Reserve, Streetsboro, Ohio.
He was born in Bekalf, Ala., March 15, 1928, the son of the late Charles Ashley and Kate Mitchell Akers.
Jack was a retired coal miner and a member of the Fords Branch Church of Christ.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willard Akers; one brother, Glen Ashley; his wives, Wilma Ashley and Janie Branham Ashley; one daughter, Katie Ashley; and one son, Curtis Jackson Ashley.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Redlin (Tom), Sue Ellen Ashley and Connie Carter (Dave); three sons, Jackie Darrel Ashley, Ricky Ashley and Robert Lee Ashley (Misty); one sister, Grace Glaze; 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 14, in the Hall & Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Fords Branch Church of Christ ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Amos Newsome Cemetery, Robinson Creek. Arrangements are under direction of Hall & Jones Funeral Home of Virgie.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Fords Branch Church of Christ with special services at 7.
