Theda I. Neikirk

Services for Theda Irene "Tiny" Neikirk, 79, of Aspen Drive were held today at Danville Church of God by the Rev. Lonnie Daughtery. Burial was in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers are Toby Farmer, Kenny Bottoms, Ted Hodge, Duane Bell, James Neikirk Jr., Steve Pinkston, David Harbolt and Scott Preston.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Potts, Rudy Henderson, Don Garland, J.D. Westerfield and Dickie Brock.

Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Statham

Services for Bonnie Statham, 51, of Tuggle Road will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Tuesday of natural causes at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be Larry Spurlock, Bill Dawson, Baker Williams, Buddy Hester, Dr. Dan Moran, Dr. Al Harrison, Gary Bradshaw and Earl Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers are co-workers art Trim Masters.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials may go to Gideons International.

James W. McGuffey

STANFORD -- Graveside services for James W. McGuffey, 83, of Stanford will be 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Methodist Church Cemetery by Dennis Spencer.

He died Wednesday at his home.

Born June 13, 1916, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Kelly and Susie Chestnut McGuffey. He was owner of McGuffey TV and Repair Service and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia McGuffey; four brothers, Harold McGuffey of Bowling Green, Roy and Orville McGuffey, both of Highland, and Doyle McGuffey of Stanford; and a sister, Doris Coleman of Bradenton, Fla.

There will be no visitation.

Spurlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby M. Johnson

Ruby Marie Minks Johnson, 65, of Mason, Ohio, died Tuesday at her home.

Born Feb. 12, 1934, in Louisville, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Freida Bodner Minks. She was a homemaker and attended Kings Mill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Johnson; three sons, Daniel E. Johnson of Fairfield, Ohio, Charles B. Johnson Jr. of Cincinnati, and Roger L. Johnson of Sardina, Ohio; a daughter, Kathy A. Kist of Cincinnati; two brothers, Charlie Minks of Louisville and Rudolf Minks of Somerset; four sisters, Kathleen Minks of Monterey, Calif., Josephine Smith of Lancaster, Dorothy Milner of Louisville, and Jeanne Minks of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Manuel Guzman. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Theda Irene "Tiny" Neikirk, 79, of Aspen Drive died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 21, 1920, in New River, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Rose Keeton Boring.

She was an employee of GENESCO for 33 years and attended Danville Church of God. She was the widow of Raymond B. Neikirk.

Survivors include a son, James E. Neikirk of Danville; two daughters, Pat Bottoms of Danville and Doe Farmer Scott of Danville; two sisters, Rose "Boots" Boring and Mary Charles Taylor, both of Danville; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Danville Church of God by the Rev. Lonnie Daughtery. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home.

Bonnie Statham

Bonnie Statham, 51, of Tuggle Road died Tuesday of natural causes at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 10, 1948, in Harrodsburg, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Viola Whitehouse. She was an administrative assistant at Trim Mas-ers, a member of First Bap-tist Church and a 1966 Danville High School graduate. She sang in area churches and had made a record with Sally and Shirley Dievert.

Survivors include her husband, Glen Statham; two sons, Scott Statham of Fort Myers, Fla., and William G. Statham of Lexington; a daughter, Schelle Statham of Richmond; a brother, Kenneth G. Baker of Chantilly, Va.; a sister, Toni Bruehl of Millstadt, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials may go to Gideons International.

PERRYVILLE -- Jan Lavedas, 59, of Lexington died Monday at Central Baptist Hospital.

Born June 4, 1940, in Gary, Ind., she was a daughter the late Ted Hoffman and Margorie Veatch. She was a health care worker and president of the resident council at Pimlico Manor. She was a member of First Assembly of God.

Survivors include a sister, Toni Glenn of Indiana; and two brothers, Lloyd Hoffman of Nevada and Paul Hoffman of Indiana.

There will be no service.

Orville O. Mills

LIBERTY -- Orville O. Mills, 95, of Kenton, Ohio, formerly of Casey County, died Sunday in Kenton.

Born Sept. 4, 1904, in Casey County, he was a son of the late John W. and Louie Norman Mills. He was a retired minister with the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include two sons, H. Eugene Mills of Revenna, Ohio, and C. Edwin Mills of Indianapolis; a daughter, Doris Harris of Stewart, Okla.; five sisters, Bertha Cleary, Lena Wyatt and Ethel Garrett, all of Dunnville, Nettie Howard of Tampa, Fla., and Priscilla Brown of Liberty; three brothers, Ernest Mills of Liberty, and Clarence Mills and David Mills both of Cincinnati; a caregiver, Monna Kettle of Kenton; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday.

LANCASTER -- Mary Lou Rankin, 51, of Grass Valley, Calif., formerly of Preacher-sville, died Tuesday. She was a daughter of Nannie Rankin Duncan of Lancaster.

Nancy S. Warner

SPRINGFIELD -- Nancy Settles Warner, 82, of Bardstown, formerly of Springfield, died Monday at Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

Born Jan. 1, 1918, in Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Davis and Nan Shewmaker Settles. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the widow of J. Norris Warner.

Survivors include two sons, Donnie Warner of New Hope and Terry Warner of Springfield; three daughters, Mary Lashley and Norris Hardison, both of Louisville, and Lou Wilkerson of Danville; a sister, Martha Anderson of Dayton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Harmon and Kenneth Lawson, and a grandson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. Walter Mantooth. Burial will be in Willisburg Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today.

Irene A. Powell

PERRYVILLE -- Services for Irene Arnold Powell, 81, formerly of North Jackson Avenue, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. John Lane. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

She died Monday at Charles-ton Health Care Center.

Born Feb. 9, 1918, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Georgia Etta Arnold. She was the former wife of the late Henry Steward Gray. She was a retired American Greeting Co. employee and a member of Perryville Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Clark of Atlanta, Beverly Warren of Oklahoma, and Trena Watts of Harrodsburg; four sisters, Louise Kramer of Danville, Clarice Gorley and Jean Whitlock, both of Gravel Switch, and Ann Kellington of North Carolina; two brothers, Pete Arnold of Perryville and Ray Arnold of Eubank; and a former husband, Bill Powell of Lebanon; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dan Clark, Ken Warren, Bill Watts, Phil Clark, Jon Clark and Wes Watts. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, Tiffany Watts, and Caleb and Kyle Warren.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.
