James Michael Bell
James Michael Bell, 42 of Radcliff, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Hardiin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan and was a Appraiser for Baumgardner and Associates PSC for 13 years. He was active in the Elizabethtown Youth Football program, where he was a coach for the past 10 years. He will be sorely missed by his family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Baker. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hoover of Royal Oak, MI; his father and step mother, James M. and Pat Bell of Radcliff; one brother, Robert B. Bell of Royal Oak, MI; two sisters, Kimberly (David) Waldron of Clay, NY and Kacy Bell (Walter Estep) of Louisville; two nieces, Angela S. Baker of Redford, MI and Zoe Waldron of Clay, NY and a nephew, Andrew Waldron of Clay, NY and a special friend, Jessica Neugent of Rineyville. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Raliegh Bostic officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to the Elizabethtown Youth Football Program.
Daniel Patrick McClure
Daniel Patrick McClure, 48 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Hardin County, a Kentucky Colonel and a Photographer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Watt H. and Boneva Mudd McClure. He is survived by three brothers, Gregory H. (Theresa) McClure of Lexington, Michael S. McClure and Timothy S. (Rhonda) McClure all of Elizabethtown; one sister, Calla Rae (J. K.) Banks of Elizabethtown; seven nieces and nephews, Crockett, Robert, Kindred, Donna, Tara, Sheila and Corey and three great nieces and nephews, Amanda, Landon and Douglas. A Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Barbara Clem
Barbara J. Clem, 58, of Cecilia, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Osweja, New York and was a health care worker. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Mangum of Texas and Ida Rose Mangum of Elizabethtown. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Clem, one sister, Judy Mangum of Dale, Ind., a stepson, Steven (Michelle) Clem of Elizabethtown, a step daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Johnson of Wiesbaden, Germany and four step grandchildren, James T. Hatcher of Elizabethtown, Elizabeth Johnson of Wiesbaden, Germany, Chelsea and Cameron Clem of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Youngers Creek cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mary Lou Todd
Mary Lou "Mimi"Rogers Todd, 84 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Chandler, OK and a member of St. James Catholic Church where she was a member of the Parish Council and the Rosary Guild. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Interstate Auto Supply and Joplin & Lanz Company. She was a member of the Blue Army, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mary Lou graduated Valedictorian from Glendale High School at 16 years old. She earned a bachelor degree with a 4.0 GPA from WKU at the age of 63. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Carl Rogers and two siblings, Clay Dean Rogers and Ann Elizabeth Walters. Mary Lou was the beloved mother of eight children and their spouses; Bill Todd of Louisville, Bob and Martha Todd of Louisville, Jim and Barbara Todd of Elizabethtown, Mary Todd and David Neri of Louisville, John and Laurie Todd of Glendale, Patty Todd Lucas and Freddie Lucas of Elizabethtown, Janice Todd Crawford and John Crawford of Elizabethtown and Paul and Lisa Todd of Columbia, KY. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and a brother, Gayle Rodgers and his wife Mary Ann of Brunswick, GA. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Fichteman officiating. Burial will follow in St. James cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with a Prayer Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the St. James School.
Shirley Jeanette Robinson
Shirley Jeanette Williams Robinson, 63 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County and attended Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a Kentucky Colonel and was a retired Manager at Park Towers in Radcliff. She loved her grandkids who were her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Robinson; her parents, Lee and Myrtle Booker Williams and a grandson, Colton. She is survived by two sons, Barry (Denise) Robinson of Williamstown and Larry (Tonya) Robinson of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Pam (Don) Harris of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Coy (Margie) Williams of Wax, James (Treva) Williams of Vertrees, Coleman Williams and Kenny Williams both of Madill, OK and nine grandchildren, Brianna, Daniel, Clarissa, Carrie, Savannah, Megan, Braxton, Jayden and Jaxon. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Barry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Stephen F. Pike
Stephen F. Pike, 58 of Rineyville, died Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a member of Vine Grove Knights of Columbus council # 3379. He served in the United States Army and was a welder at Altec Industries. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilary Lambert and Theresa Marie Jenkins Pike. He is survived by his wife, Marian E. "Mimi" Pawley Pike; two daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Day of Louisville, and Lena (Matt) Rodriguez of New York, NY; a son, Adam (Heather) Pike of Richfield, PA; four brothers, Kenny Pike, Fred (Carmel) Pike and Bobby (Gail) Pike all of Rineyville and Sam (Joy) Pike of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Deborah (Ronnie) Foushee of Guston and Denise (Bob) Burden of Louisville and four grandchildren, Jacob and Caitlin Day, Ava Graybill, and baby Day to be born on November 29, 2010. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at Rineyville cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 9 am Saturday at Brown Funeral Home. A prayer vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. George Kistulentz
George Michael Kistulentz, 73, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hazleton, PA, was an Air Force veteran, a Kentucky Colonel and worked for Superior Cables. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Hiza Kistulentz and by a brother Robert Kistulentz. He is survived by his wife, Myrna E. Dalgo Kistulentz, two daughters, Denise (Roger) Blair of Wentzville, MI and Debonah (Kurt) Groothuis of Big Clifty, two step sons Alvin Jaron Stark of Bowling Green and Brooks Mark (Vivian) Stark of Louisville. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hardin Memorial Park with Rev. Nathan Whisnant officiating. There will be no visitation.
Charles Randal Thomas
Charles Randal Thomas, 76 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of St. James Catholic Church. He retired from the U. S. Air Force, having served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from Nukote Inc. and was the past President of Elizabethtown Transportation Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lettie Sheroan Thomas and one sister, Barbara McGaw. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lula "Lu" Akers Thomas; four sons, David (Connie) Thomas, Keith (Terri) Thomas and Anthony (Vicki) Thomas all of Elizabethtown and Mark (Janet) Thomas of Greenfield, IN; two daughters, Esther (Al) Holley of Shalimar, FL and Teresa (Doug) Gibson of Elizabethtown; one sister, Mary Glenn Boyer of Indiana; eleven grandchildren, James Holley, Lori Holley, Jason Thomas, Emily Keith, Will Thomas, Rachel Holmes, Leah Thomas, Amy Manns, Hayes Thomas, Taylor Thomas and Kathryn Thomas and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in St. James cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mildred Ann Sprowls
Mildred Ann "Pumpkin" Sprowls, 74 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Woodland Terrace Health Care Facility. She was a native of Larue County and a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a retired Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester S. and Jessie Ford Miller and a brother, Jesse Miller. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Charles Douglas Sprowls; two sons, Charles William Sprowls and Steven Douglas (Rebecca) Sprowls all of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Frances (James) Phelps of Hodgenville and Dorothy Bowen of Clarksville, TN and two grandchildren, Emily Sprowls and Katie Sprowls. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Chad Brand officiating. Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Kentucky Veterans cemetery Central. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to the Alzheimers Association.
