Lottie Mae Thomas Vincent, 87, of Cecilia, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Fair Farm Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clint and Donnie Mae Sosh Daugherty, by two husbands, Harrison Thomas and Bill Vincent, one daughter, Elizabeth Beavins, 3 brothers, Odie, Ova Lee and William Daugherty, 3 sisters, Runie Thomas, Hazel Durbin and Inez Cundiff. She is survived by two daughters, Inez (Woody) Daugherty and Littie (Doug) Clark both of Cecilia, one son, Jimmy (Bonnie) Thomas of Cecilia, one brother, Holbert Daugherty of Irvington, 4 grandchildren, Charles (Amanda) Thomas and Melissa Lipping all of Cecilia, J. C. (Jenafire) Carroll of ELizabethtown and Stephanie (Josh) Murmeier of Louisville and 4 great grandchildren, Courtney Sparks, Alyssa and Alexsey Carroll and Caden Thomas. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Thomas cemetery. Visitation is 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may go to Hosparus of Central KY.

Dennis Ray Lipscomb
Dennis Ray Lipscomb, 74, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, August 9, 2010 at Christian Care Communities in Louisville. He was a native of West Union, WV, a Vietnam War veteran, a retired Army Officer and retired from civil service at Ft. Knox in 1999. He was a member of Ft. Knox Retired Officers Association He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elma Williams Lipscomb. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy Masters Lipscomb, two sons, Phil (Tami) Lipscomb of Dayton, Ohio and Jeff (Tina) Lipscomb of Alaska, three daughters, Carmen Lipscomb and Teri (Paul) Christensen all of Elizabethtown and Sandi Lipscomb of West Union, WV, one brother, David (Jeryl) Lipscomb of Harrisburg, WV, one sister, Janet (Jim) Fraley of West Union, WV and six grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey, Justina, Jenna, Keegan and Sam. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Stuart Jones officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Kentucky Veterans cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may go to Alzheimers Association or to the Christian Care Communities.

Rosalie Risinger
Rosalie Ann Risinger, 56, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her residence. She was a native of Haubstabt, IN and was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. She worked at Hardin Memorial Hospital for 13 years. She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Fresse Wolf. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Darrell E. Risinger, one daughter, Dana (Jason) Atcher of Elizabethtown, her father, Fritz Wolf of Cincinnati, 5 brothers, Randy Wolf, Steve Wolf, Jim Wolf, Jerry Wolf and David Wolf, 5 sisters, Brenda Berube, Nancy Haines, Mary Hill, Norma Miracle and Reeda Miracle, 3 grandchildren, Courtney, Nolte and AnnaMae Atcher, her Mother-in-law, Dorothy Shelton, her Father-in-law, Leo Risinger, 3 sisters-in-law, Thresa Bertram, Sonya Crutcher and Angela Cruse and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Valley Creek cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Valley Creek Baptist Church.

Lucille "Hudson" Colvin
Lucille "Hudson" Colvin, 88, of Big Clifty, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. She is a native of Marion County, a member of Needham Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a farmer. She was preceded in death by her first husband Boyd Walker Hudson; her second husband, O'Colonel Colvin; her parents, Joseph Abell and Bertha Newton Abell; one son, Benjamin Buckman; one daughter, Lois Miranda; and three brothers, Dennis, Thomas, and Albert Abell. She is survived by one son, William Hudson of Big Clifty; four daughters, Inez Nichols of Greencove Springs, FL, Fern Logsdon of Fayetteville, GA, Brenda Cooper of Cecilia, and Peggy Lindsey of Brooksville, FL; one son-in-law, Lorgio Miranda of Big Clifty; twenty three grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. The funeral is Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Shelby Haire officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Wendell Damon Edlin
Wendell Damon Edlin, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Veterans Hospital in Louisville. He was a native of Hardin County, a member of Grandview Baptist Church, he was an Army Veteran, and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Leo Edlin and Annie Pearl Davenport Edlin; two brothers, Ward Edlin and Leslie Edlin; three sisters, Goldia Parrett, Gladys Perkins, and Geneva Pellman. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ash Edlin of Elizabethtown; two sons, William Henry Edlin and Richard Damon Edlin both of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Wendelyn Fay Greenbaum, Marcia Ann Goodman, both of Elizabethtown, and Jenny Lea (Allen) Heath of Magnolia; three sisters, Dorothy Pellman, Sadie Daniels, and Freda Duggins, all of Elizabethtown; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral is Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church, with Bro. Howard Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Creek cemetery. Visitation is Monday 5 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, and after 12 p.m. Tuesday at the Church.

Edith Herman Hart
Edith Herman Hart, 76 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was a member of the Garden Club, Homemakers Club, Elizabethtown Woman's Club and the Historical Society. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a past Election Officer and a past volunteer for the Hardin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Rachel Talbott Herman. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Hart; two daughters, Deborah Hart (Jerry) Myatt of Bowling Green and Susan Hart (Marc) Thomas of Elizabethtown; two sons, Randy (Dianna) Hart and David (Cathy) Hart all of Elizabethtown; one sister, Betty (Ray) Olson of Marietta, GA; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Myatt Raymer, Jason Myatt, Matthew Hart, Hannah Hart, Will Hart, Jaxson Thomas, Dekker Thomas, Darian Rock and Daniel Rock and four great grandchildren, Hunter Raymer, Jenna Raymer, Mason Hart and Grant Hart. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Severns Valley Childrens Ministry.

Jimmy Bruner
Jimmy Bruner, 63, of Glendale, died July 27, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Bruner of Georgetown. Cremation was chosen. Graveside Service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans cemetery with Rev. Raleigh Bostic officiating. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Louie Eugene Irwin
Louie Eugene Irwin, 81 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at North Hardin Health and Rehab. in Radcliff. He was a native of Hardin County, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a lifelong farmer, an occupation he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Clarence and Anna Stanley Bailey Irwin; one son, Larry David Irwin; one brother, Melford B. Irwin; and one sister, Gladys Miller. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Lois "Pudge" Irwin of Elizabethtown; one son, Dale Irwin of Elizabethtown; one daughter-in-law, Anita Lois Irwin of Elizabethtown; one sister, Sue Lutz of Elizabethtown; and one grandchild, Sue Anna Irwin (Patrick) Garrett of Lexington. The funeral is Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home.

Ora Mae Tucker
Ora Mae Tucker, 76 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Bennett and Vera St. John. She was a native of Hopewell, TN, a member of the First Christian Church and the Hardin County Homemakers. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William E. Tucker.; one Son David E. and Julia Tucker of Elizabethtown; one Daughter Kimberly M. Tucker of Elizabethtown; one brother Jesse B. and Kathleen St. John of Manchester, TN; one sister Nora and James Haley of Atlanta Georgia and seven Grandchildren, William, Bart and James Tucker, Aleia Tucker, Brandon Marker, Krystle Marker, and Cody Claycomb. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Chris Kiger officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Kosair Charities.
