Mary Jo Felker
Mary Jo Felker, 64 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Glendale United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Mattingly. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bill Felker; three sons, William R. (Isabell) Felker, Jr. of Mt. Sherman, James (Sonia) Felker of Cecilia and James Felker of Elizabethtown; her mother, Jackie Mattingly of Elizabethtown; one brother, Jay (Linda) Mattingly of San Diego, CA; one sister, Kathy Richardson of Summit and six grandchildren, Contessa Felker, William R. Felker, III, Jared Felker, Kalie Felker, Gavin Felker and Damian Felker. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Glendale United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
John Kelly Greenwell
John Kelly Greenwell, 53 of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County, a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Joyce Greenwell. He is survived by two children, Robert O'Dale Greenwell and Amber Greenwell both of Elizabethtown; his father, John E. Greenwell, Sr. of Elizabethtown; one sister, Mary Greenwell of Elizabethtown; three brothers, John E. (Dianna) Greenwell, Jr. and John Carey Greenwell all of Elizabethtown and John Shane (Ann) Greenwell of Lexington and a grandson, Drayden Cash Greenwell of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. James cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home.
Norma Jean Powell Sadler
Norma Jean Powell Sadler, 68, of Cecilia, died Thursday September 15, 2011, at Norton Hospital Downtown. She was a native of Hardin County. She worked as a store clerk for Dollar General Store. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. James H and Norma Cox Powell and a great-granddaughter Gracie Leasor. She is survived by her husband, David Sadler; her son, Marty (Rhonda) Fulkerson and her daughter, Jeannee (James) Morgan both of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Cory Morgan, Jamie Leasor and Dawson Fulkerson; one great grandchild McKinley Leasor; and a beloved pet Chancey. The Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. John R. Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and continue after 12 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Alan Thomas King, Sr.
Alan Thomas King, 72 of Irvington, died Monday April 4, 2011, at his residence. He was born in England; a very loving, kind hearted man who loved sports and Kentucky Basketball. He retired as a tool and die maker for Crucible Steel after over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents James Joseph King and Ann Elizabeth Bird and one daughter Susan King. He is survived by his first wife Janet King, one son Tommy (Dana) King Jr. both of Elizabethtown, two daughters Angie Eskridge of Irvington and Alison King of Elizabethtown; two brothers John King and Eric (Jessie) King of England and one sister Wendy King of Australia; six grandchildren Trista, Sabrina (Drill), Dustin, Joshua, Vanessa, Sarah; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Donald, Alex, and Braydon; his second wife Helen Williams; two step-daughters, three step-sons, 35 step-grandchildren, and 31 step-great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Williams officiating. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the American Heart Association.

Mary K. Lambert, 72 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County. She is survived by her husband Donald T. Lambert, 8 children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Friday 1 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans cemetery Central in Radcliff
Donald Lee Goldsmith
Donald Lee Goldsmith, 82 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Louisville V A Hospital. He was a native of Jefferson County, served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a former member of Knights of Columbus. He was a volunteer with Helping Hand and was an avid artist and reader. He was preceded in death by a step son, Raynor Rhoden; his parents, Eudoris and Ollie Caswell Goldsmith; two brothers, Lester and Monte Goldsmith and a sister, Dorothy Crawford. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Woods Goldsmith; two daughters and their husbands, Marcie and Pete Edlin of Howey, FL and Cheryl and Mike Nalley of Liberty, MO; four grandchildren, April Tatom, Elizabeth Pearson, Tony Clark and Olivia Nalley and one great grandchild, Spencer Tatom. Visitation will be from 11 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hand.
Charles M Daugherty
Charles Marion Daugherty, 66 of Eastview, died Thursday June 30, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Eastview Wesleyan Church. He retired from Dow Corning after 31 and a half years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Simon and Iva Daugherty, and a brother Samuel Daugherty. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Miller Daugherty; a son, Chuck Daugherty of Eastview; a daughter, Lisa Daugherty of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Megan Hines and Damon Daugherty both of Elizabethtown; a brother, Carrol R. Daugherty of West View; five sisters, Edna Mae Krahn of Harned, Elmina R. Chipps of Oxford, AL, Vera E. McNutt of Auburn, AL, Katherine M. Cooper of Eastview, and Evelyn Palmer of Deatsville, AL, along with several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at Eastview Wesleyan Church with Rev. Paul Hornberger and Rev. James Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Meeting Creek cemetery. The Visitation will be Tuesday 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continue Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.
Anna Laura Loyall
Anna Laura Loyall, 90 of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Kensington Manor. She was a native of Hart County and a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. She loved to play rook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Loyall, her parents, John Hardin and Flora Ann Cruse and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Bobby (Levena) Loyall of Elizabethtown and Barbara Ann (David) Bland of Stockbridge, GA; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Pryor officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Creek cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home.

Allen R. Pence, 52, of Louisville, died Wednesday May 25, 2011 in Jefferson County. He was a native of Grayson County and a member of East Side Praise Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Lena Bell Pence, a brother John Howard and a sister Lillian Hart. He is survived by his wife Sharon Sebastian Pence of Louisville, two sons and one daughter Nikolas Pence of Queens, NY, Zachary Pence and Alexandria Pence both of Louisville, five brothers Robert (Deloris) Pence of Big Clifty, Wilbur E. (Shirley) Pence Jr. of White Mills, Rex Howard of Bowling Green, and Willie (Julie) Pence of Elizabethtown, one sister Marlene (R.C.) Browning of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continuing Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
