Alan Bernardy
Alan Anthony Bernardy, 67, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Woodland Terrace Health Care Facility. He was a native of Menominee, WI, a Vietnam War Army veteran and was a Catholic. He retired from civil service, was a member of the American Legion and was an avid bird watcher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Dennison Bernardy in 1908 and by his parents, Harold and June Cherney Bernardy. He is survived by a son, Patrick Bernardy of Elizabethtown, a daughter, Wendy Bernardy Jungbauer of Westminster, CO, 3 sisters, Judy Rogers of Gainesville, FL, Lynn Patterson and Luana King both of Iron River, MI and two grandchildren, Casey and Andrew. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Kentucky Veterans cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home.
John M. Burks, Sr.
John M. Burks, Sr., 87 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Northfield Centre for Health and Rehab. in Louisville. He was born in 1923 in New Albany, IN and was a 53 year member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post #114 and the Chevrolet Motor Division Society of Sales Executives. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII, was a farmer and retired from Herb Jones Chevrolet in 2004 where he was the General Manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Thorton and Allie Mae Davis Burks and two brothers, Joseph Edward Burks and Richard Burks. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane Miller Burks; two sons, John (Jann) Burks, Jr. of Lexington and Jim Burks of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Janet (Terry) Sims of Charlestown, IN; one brother, W. D. Burks of Tonieville; two sisters, Martha Owens of Shelbyville and Mary Jane Wiley of Louisville, MS; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill cemetery in Hodgenville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Church.
Alberta Louise Logsdon
Alberta Louise Logsdon, 82, of Radcliff died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at North Hardin Health and Rehab. She was a native of Meade County, and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Leslie and Agnes F. Board Allen; and a step-son, Timothy Blair Logsdon. She is survived by her husband, David L. Logsdon; two sons, David L. Logsdon, II and his wife Kristie of Elizabethtown and Brett A. Logsdon of Clarksville, TN; a step-daughter, Donna Vaughan of Winter Park, FL; two brothers, Marvin Leslie Allen, Jr. of Brandenburg, Roy Albert Allen of Brandenburg; three sisters, Virginia Futral of Atlanta, Evelyn Allen Ritchie of Brandenburg, and Juanita Hart of Boston; and six grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and continue after 12 noon Sunday at Brown Funeral Home.
Kathleen Mae Heric
Kathleen Mae Heric, 66, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday May 21, 2013 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Chicago, IL; a computer aide with Kingsolver Elementary School for 24 years before retiring in 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Olive Seitz Weiss; and a sister, Marilyn Cody. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James "Mickey" Heric; two sons, Christopher and his wife, Helen in Nashville, TN and Keith Heric and his fiancée, Stephanie Piekos of Chicago, IL; a brother, George Weiss of Chicago, IL; and a granddaughter, Ginevra Heric of Nashville, TN. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday June 2nd at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date at cemetery Park in Iron Mountain, MI. Cremation was chosen by the family.
Robert Lewis Jewell
Robert Lewis Jewell, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday September 27, 2011, at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab. He was a native of Hodgenville, a member of Roundtop Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge 132 Lifetime Member, and member of Hardin County Fair Squares. He retired from Radcliff Concrete. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Phillis Noe; his parents, Lewis and Christy Bowen Jewell and a sister Christine Bunch. He is survived by his wife, Noreeta Stinnett Jewell; his son, Randy (Maggie) Jewell of Elizabethtown; his daughter Cindy (Steve) Bewley of Rineyville; a brother, Norman (Marsha) Jewell of Elizabethtown; a sister Francis Sidebottom of Hodgenville; four grandchildren, Ashley Parker, Cory Jewell, Ricky Walker and Megan Bewley; and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, with Bro. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and continue after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
David Lawrence Walker
David Lawrence Walker, 51,of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. He was a truck driver for David and Barbara Walker Trucking. He was preceded in death by his father; Edward Walker and his wife Barbara Diane Jent Walker. He is survived by two sons Sonny (Christie) Walker and Clint Cole Walker of Elizabethtown, one daughter; April M. Roberts of Elizabethtown, his mother; Mary Walker Bunch of Lebanon Junction, two brothers, James Edward (Michelle) Walker of Elizabethtown and Jeffrey Walker of Lebanon Junction, one sister; Bonnie (Doug) Jeffiers of White House, TN and three grandchildren, J. D. Walker, Cheyenne Roberts and Raymond Roberts all of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Perry officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Barbara Diane Jent Walker, 51, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was a native of Ohio and was office manager for David and Barbara Walker Trucking. She was preceded in death by her father, George Edward Jent and a sister Peggy Rose.. She was survived by her husband, David L. Walker who later died. She is survived by two sons; Sonny (Christie) Walker and Clint Cole Walker all of Elizabethtown, one daughter, April M. Roberts of Elizabethtown, her mother Norma Dean Jent of Elizabethtown and three grandchildren, J. D. Walker, Cheyenne Roberts and Raymond Roberts all of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Perry officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Memorial Park. Rev. Randall A. Daugherty, 71 of Constantine, died Friday, November 11, 2011. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Constantine House of Prayer Church. He was the retired owner of Daugherty Brothers Logging. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie Calvin and Bradie Smallwood Daugherty and four brothers, Cecil Daugherty, William Daugherty, Lannie Daugherty, Mitchell Daugherty. He is survived by his wife of almost fifty years, Sylvia Vest Daugherty; two daughters, Sandra Lynn (Brad) Booker of Upton and Tamara (Steve) Harris of Leitchfield; two brothers, Herbert Daugherty of Constantine and Elva (Dean) Daugherty of Eastview and one sister, Alberta Butterworth of Constantine, 4 grandchildren; David Burden, Camile Jones, Tara Seabolt and Danielle Wease and 5 great grandchildren, Kaleigh Wease, Jessica Seabolt, Gavyn Thomas, Gage Seabolt and Cody Kowalske. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Dodson officiating. Burial will follow in Pole Bridge cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
