PHILLIPS, Christopher Columbus

PHILLIPS, Christopher Columbus was born Jun. 4, 1872 and died Feb. 9, 1946.
He was the son of Clark and Lydia Phillips.
He married Rebecca CAMPBELL and they had 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys.
One girl died at the age of 42.
His wife died 1905 and he then married Anna BAYS in 1912 and they had 11 children, two died in infancy leaving 7 boys and 2 girls.
He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1934.

BAKER, Rev. R.L.

BAKER, Rev. R.L. was born May 12, 1885 and died May 7, 1947.
He was the son of Rev. R. A. and Mary Baker.
He married Mollie HOPKINS on Dec. 31, 1906 and they had 6 children; four girls, Mrs. Clara Owens, Harlan, Ky.; Mrs. Ruby Jones, Wise, Va.; Mrs. Bonnie Jessie, Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Ione York, Raleigh N.C.; two boys, Roscoe, in the Army, and Bob, Jr., at home.
He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1910.
He leaves his wife, six children, 11 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and two sisters.

HAMILTON, James

HAMILTON, James was born Aug. 16, 1881 and died Feb. 25, 1947.
He was the son of Shefie and Phena MULLINS Hamilton.
He was married to Emma SWINDALL in 1903 and they had 5 children, two boys and three girls.
The boys and one girl preceded him in death.

HAMILTON, Shefie

HAMILTON, Shefie was born Sept. 5, 1861 and died Jan. 27, 1947.
He was the son of Lockard and Mary Hamilton.
He was married to Phena MULLINS, Oct. 1880.
They had 12 children, six boys and six girls.
He was a member of the Bold Camp Church of Old Regular Baptist since Aug. 1922.
He leaves his wife, 12 children and 81 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

POTTER, Victor K.

POTTER, Victor K. died Feb. 6, 1947, being 32 yrs, 8 mos., and 27 days old.
He was the son of Jerome and Arminta Potter.
He was married to Gertrude BOLLING on Dec. 12, 1936 and they had 3 boys, one died and the other two were stillborn.
He worked in the mines at Dunham, Ky.
On Nov. 23, he joined the Old Regular Baptist Church.

STANLEY, Eura

STANLEY, Eura was the daughter of Rob and Ruthy STANLEY.
She was born Mar. 4, 1900 and died Apr. 15, 1947.
She was married to Jimmie HAWKINS on Dec. 23, 1917 and they had 3 children, 1 girl and 2 boys, Effie, Erby and Calvin.
Her husband was killed in the mines on Aug. 8, 1930.
She later married Eli CASTLE, they had one boy, Eugene Castle.
She joined th the Little Zion Church of Old Regular Baptist in Norland, Va., in Aug. 1931.
She leaves behind a husband, 4 children, father, mother, two brothers, Ceburn and Allen Stanley, two sisters, Pina FLEMING and Viola Stanley.

BAKER, Sarah

BAKER, Sarah was married to Jes Baker and was the daughter of John GIBSON.
She was born in 1878 and died in 1945.
Jes Baker was the son of Sam Baker and he was born in 1877 and died in 1940.
They were married in 1897 or 1898 and to them were born 5 boys and 5 girls, two girls preceded them in death.
Mrs. Mollie Anderson and Leota Baker.
The remaining children are: Martin, Fred, Joel, Jes, Jr., Johnnie; the girls, Mrs. Taulby Cantrell, Onecy and Melissie.
They both are buried in Floyd County.
They both were members of the Ashcamp Church of Old Regular Baptist.

ADKINS, Nancy J.

ADKINS, Nancy J. was born May 21, 1889 and died Nov. 25, 1946.
She was the daughter of Alford and Sarah Adkins.
She was married to Eldon Winston MAY in 1915.
They had 6 girls and 4 boys.
Four girls and one boy preceded her in death.
She joined the Old Regular Baptist Church Jan. 1916.

GOFF, Fannie

GOFF, Fannie was born in Virginia on Mar. 13, 1883 and died on Mar. 25, 1947.
She was married to Adam Goff and they had 9 children.
Two preceded her in death.

HALE, Sarah E.

HALE, Sarah E. was the daughter of James and Margaret HALE, she was born on May 19, 1861 and died Jan. 4, 1946.
She was married to Basil MULLINS in 1880.
They had 10 children, 5 died in infancy.

MEADE, Rev. N.W.

MEADE, Rev. N.W. was born Jun. 27, 1880 and died Dec. 5, 1946.
At the age of 20, he married Mora McFALL and they had 6 boys and 6 girls; Ballard, Marcus, Columbus, Lloyd, Sherman and Estill; girls, Nannie, Eura, Bertha, Virgie, Bessie and Maywood; all living except Nannie.
After the death of his wife, Mora, he married Cora PILKINS on May 7, 1946.
Funeral was at the Elizabeth Church of Old Regular Baptist at Millstone.

MEADE, Mora

MEADE, Mora was born Apr. 20, 1886 and died on May 19, 1945.
She married Rev. N.W. Meade on Dec. 22, 1900 by Rev. Elijah W. Baker.
She joined the Old Regular Baptist Church in 1913.

CLEVINGER, Malvina

CLEVINGER, Malvina was born Feb. 22, 1856 and died Mar. 16, 1946.
She was married to John W. Clevinger at the age of 16.
They had 4 girls and 3 boys; 2 are dead.
She later married Floyd DEEL.

COLLEY, Josha

COLLEY, Josha was born Jan. 15, 1865 and died on Jan. 15, 1944.
He died at the Grundy Va Hospital.

DEEL, Autie Jackson

DEEL, Autie Jackson was born Mar. 9, 1921 and died Jul. 12, 1944.
He was the son of Bart and Joicey Deel.
He was killed during WWII in France.
He leaves his mother, father, five brothers, and five sisters.

O'QUINN, Phebie Margaret

O'QUINN, Phebie Margaret was the daughter of M.R. O'Quinn and Elizabeth O'Quinn and was born Jun. 11, 1887; died Dec. 10, 1946.
She was married to Jonas O'Quinn on Oct. 16, 1908 and they had 3 boys and 5 girls.
One girl preceded her in death.

COLEMAN, Henry Harrison

COLEMAN, Henry Harrison was born Jan. 16, 1865 and died May 14, 1945.
He was the youngest son of 14 children of Daniel and Bethana Coleman.
All have died except one sister, Susan STEWART.
He was married Evaline MULLINS on Jul. 18, 1884 and they had six boys and five girls.
He was a member of the Samaria Church of Old Regular Baptist.

BOYD, James Harvey
BOYD, James Harvey was born May 11, 1877 and died Oct. 1, 1942.
He was the son of Elisha and Jane Boyd; he was married to Polly Jane O'QUINN in Jan. 1905 and they had one daughter.
He leaves a daughter, his wife, four grandchildren, two sisters, four brothers.
