MORELAND -- Denver Finley, 65, of Danville, formerly of Kokomo, Ind., died Saturday at home.
Born June 1, 1935, in Pulaski County, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Mae Nicks Finley.
Survivors include a son, Bruce D. Finley of Danville; three daughters, Violet Keisha Phillips of Parksville, Carol Marie Presley of Somerset and Jessica Mae Finley of Kokomo; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Helen M. Fitzpatrick
STANFORD -- Helen M. Fitzpatrick, 82, of Rose Street, died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Nov. 1, 1918, in Greenfield, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late William and Susie Lenton Hafer. She was a retired factory laborer for Westinghouse Electric and a member of Lily Chapel Methodist Church in West Jefferson, Ohio. She was a member of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Fitzpatrick, and a son, Phillip Fitzpatrick.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Fitzpatrick of Stanford and David Fitzpatrick of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rader & McDonald Funeral Home in West Jefferson. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Rader & McDonald Funeral Home, followed by an Eastern Star service.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Felix Humphrey
LANCASTER -- Felix Humphrey, 82, of Biloxi Court, Lexington, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lexington.
Born Jan. 20, 1918, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Herman and Ina Lee Humphrey. He was retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company and a World War II veteran.
He was the widower of Massie Humphrey.
Survivors include a stepson, Robert Hostetler of Lexington; a brother, J.W. Humphrey of Monticello; four sisters, Helen Young and Katherine Ray, both of Lancaster, and Margaret Crutcher and Eva Humphrey, both of Lexington.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be William, Ricky, Chris, Robert, David and Charlie Hostetler. Honorary pallbearers are Clyde Sherrow, Jess Humphrey Jr., David and Elwood Humphrey.

Lena G. Allen
STANFORD -- Lena Gertrude Allen, 53, of Danville, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 15, 1947, in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of Robert E. Owens and the late Rosa Lee Owens. She was a homemaker and a member of Danville Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a Girl Scout leader for Troop No. 235 of Camp Springs, Md.
Additional survivors include her husband, John T. Allen of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; a daughter, Rose Stringer of Junction City; two brothers, Robert Owens of Mechanicsville, Md., and Leslie Owens of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a sister, Ruth May Pyles of Forest Hill, Md.; and three grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home by Doyle Holdaway. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Pallbearers will be Robert Owens, Leslie Owens, Kenny Farris, Lee Clement, Chris Lones and Harry Allen.

Omer C. Rubarts
Omer Carl Rubarts, 79, of Russell Springs, formerly of Dunnville, died Thursday at his home.
Born Jan. 21, 1921, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Joe and Ella Allen Rubarts. He was a retired maintenance employee of American Greetings and had worked at Russell Springs City Hall. He also was a member of Dunnville Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Avery Brown Rubarts; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Patton and Herman Rubarts. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Allen B. Edwards
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Dr. Allen B. Edwards, 85, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Tuesday in St. Petersburg.
Born. Dec. 7, 1914, in Danville, he was a son of the late Irvine B. and Amanda J. Edwards. He was a graduate of Centre College, Duke University and the University of Virginia. He taught high school and was a civilian flight instructor at the Naval Flight School. He also taught economics at Winthrop College, University of Virginia and Mercer University. He joined the faculty of Allegheny College in 1944 where he was named professor of economics, college treasurer and business manager. He served as treasurer until his retirement in 1977.
He was active in community development and served as chairman of the Meadville Area Rent Control Board, president of the chamber of commerce and industrial development corporation. He was president of the Crawford County School Board and first chairman of the vocational-technical school. He also was a director of Mid-Penn Telephone Co. and McCrosky Tool Corp.
He received the highest Air Force ROTC civilian award in 1974 for 22 years as military coordinator at the Allegheny campus and was recognized in 1975 for his contributions to education and economic development.
He was a member of the Meadville Country Club and the Round Table literary group. He was the widower of Suella Bigham Edwards and Rosemary Singer Edwards.
Survivors include four sons, Irvine Edwards of Nobleton, Fla., Allen Edwards Jr. of Valdosta, Ga., Robert Edwards of St. Petersburg and Richard Edwards of Cambridge, Springs, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Byham, Miller, Mizner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday.

R.W. Clark
HARRODSBURG -- R.W. Clark, 78, of Burgin died Thursday at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor.
Born Oct. 26, 1922, in Danville, he was a son of the late R.W. and Laura Hawkins Clark. He was a retired carpenter for Lexington Local 1650, A World War II Army veteran and a member of Burgin Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Estes Clark; two sons, Bob Clark of Burgin and Jeffrey L. Estes of Chesapeake, Va.; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Gary Story. Burial with military honors will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Robert Fryman, Jack Estes, Norman Dunning, Leroy Patterson and Larry Dean. Honorary pallbearers are Buck and Marie VanArsdall, Creighton and Pat Newton, Willis Spears, Hugh Smith and J.R. and Geraldine Tucker.

Mary N. Johnson
Services for Mary Nancy Johnson, 69, of Airport Road will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Perryville, by the Rev. Willie Newby. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 8, 1931, in Junction City, she was a daughter of the late Henry A. and Emmaline McGuire Walker. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Johnson; six daughters, Charlotte Caldwell, Shirley Hagan, Brenda Williams, Joyce Williams and Mona Perrin, all of Danville, and Glenna Cooper of Louisville; four sons, Lawrence Ford Jr., James Ford, Larry Ford and Stephon Ford, all of Danville; an aunt who raised her, Lucille Garr of Danville; five stepsons, Jimmy Johnson of Florida, John and Ronnie Johnson, both of California, and Charles Johnson of Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Johnson of Kentucky and Pam Johnson of California; 28 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are Freddie Moody, and the Brotherhood group of First Baptist Church.

James H. Rapier
James Hart Rapier, 54, of Barbee Way died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 4, 1945, in Danville, he was a son of the late Hart and Grace Stroud Rapier. He was an assistant sales manager for Sellers Engineering, a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, a past president of Danville Country Club, Kiwanis Club and chamber of commerce. He was a former owner of Mattingly and Rapier Chevrolet. He also was a volunteer at the humane society and a former member of Knights of Columbus. He was a 1964 graduate of Danville High School and a graduate of Bellarmine College.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Fangman Rapier; a son, James T. Rapier of Louisville; a daughter, Amy Rapier Hines of Danville; a sister, Ruth Ann Brown of Danville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. Paul Prabell. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation so after 5 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home.

HARRODSBURG -- Raymond Lawrence Brown, 51, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Sunday in Austin.
Born Aug. 29, 1949, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late James T. and Imogene Yates Brown. He was an employee of International Business Machines, a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and attended El Centro College in Dallas, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Derotha Brown; three sons, Craig L. Boyd of Chicago, Anthony Cheanault of Kentucky and Jason McBroom of Oklahoma; three daughters; Monica Makey of Austin, Stacy Lewis of Lexington and Bridgette Brown of Austin; three brothers, Van Brown of Dallas, Texas, Sterling Brown of Austin and James Brown of Lexington; and two sisters, Debra Pope and Linda B. Spencer, both of Lexington.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. J.D. Short III. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Gary Brown, Melvin Yates, Jewell Wayne Brown, Roger Brown, Carl Bartleson and Samuel Bess. Honorary pallbearers are Van, Sterling, and James Brown.
