John V. Price
LIBERTY -- John Vincent Price, 45, of Danville died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 3, 1955, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late John L. and Frances L. Price.
He was a brick mason and a member of Alum Springs Church of God.
Survivors include two sisters, Iona M. Dean of Harrodsburg and Lisa L. Hunter of Junction City; and two brothers, Joseph M. Price and James T. Price, both of Danville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alum Springs Church of God by Keith Willoughby and Terry Morrison. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Melvin, David, Merl, Conrad and Kenny Hicks and Archie Coffman.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Rosetta Wilson
LIBERTY -- Rosetta Wilson, 84, of Merritt Ridge died Sunday at Russell County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1916, in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Cassie Stevens Chumbley. She was a farmer, a homemaker and a member of Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Imogene Minton and Maxine Wilson, both of Windsor, and Shirley McAnelly of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Lilly Shaw of Somerset and Mabel Minton of Windsor; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a caregiver, Lucille Davis of Windsor.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jennie's Chapel United Methodist Church by Richard West. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church.

William L. Lane
William Luther Lane, 81, of Mason Ave., formerly of Forkland, died Friday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born Jan. 2, 1920, in Forkland, he was a son of the late Claude Luther and Sarah Gorley Lane. He was a retired farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ, a charter member and treasurer of the Forkland Community Center. He had served on the Boyle County Fire District Board and the Boyle Extension Board. He was a 1939 graduate of Forkland High School and a former custodian of the school. He also was trustee and treasurer of Elder Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Agnes Pollard Lane; a sister, Lavicia Daugherty of Forkland, and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home by Larry Barker. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may go to the Forkland Community Center.

John W. Walker
John W. Walker, 69, of Forest Avenue, died Friday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 22, 1931, in Washington County, he was a son of the late Johnny and Bertha Walker.
He was president of the Steel Workers Union, a deacon, secretary and treasurer of First Baptist Church in Perryville, where he was also a member of the Brotherhood. He worked at the Harrodsburg Hallmark store.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Walker; a daughter, Temple Robertson of Indianapolis; two sons, Mark Walker of Danville and Ronnie Caldwell of Springfield; a brother, Henry Walker of Danville; three sisters, Rosie Hargrave of Danville, Clara Leslie of Indianapolis and Faye Johnson of Perryville; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Perryville by the Rev. Willie Newby. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Furman, Robert Glover, Ed Sleet, Sammy Johnson, Raymond Hall and Frank Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Johnson, Charles Burton, Sam C. Johnson and Jerry Tarrance.

Michael J. Ahearn
LANCASTER -- Services for Michael James Ahearn, 55, of Richmond Road, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. David Witten. Burial will be in Camp Nelson Cemetery.
He died Thursday in Greenville, S.C.
Born June 2, 1945, in Montreal, Canada, he was a son of Gertrude Flanagan Ahearn of Montreal and the late William Ahearn. He was an electrical design planner; attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Danville; was a member of the Marine Corp League; and was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam war. He became a naturalized citizen in 1988.
Additional survivors include his wife, Sylvia Brenda Ahearn; a daughter, Brenda Ahearn of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a son, Eric Ahearn of Lancaster; and two sisters, Susan Ahearn of New Jersey and Eileen Ahearn of Toronto.
Pallbearers will be Edward, Herbert and Arthur Brenda, Joe Naylor, and Dewayne and Travis May.

Homer Barnett
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Homer Barnett, 90, formerly of College Manor, are 2 p.m. today at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Claude Waldridge. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Center.
Born Nov. 8, 1910, in Washington County, he was a son of the late Artie Yeager and Callie Keeler Barnett. He was the widower of Nila Drury Barnett; a retired Kentucky State Park employee of Old Fort Harrod State Park and a farmer. He was a Sunday School teacher, an elder and a deacon of Grapevine Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Barnett.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Barnett of Harrodsburg, James Barnett of Prattville, Ala., and Phillip Barnett of Cincinnati; a daughter, Sara Ann Green of Junction City; four sisters, Ruby Yates, Lula Foster and Vivian Anderson, all of Lexington, and Eulah Patton of Marion; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Lynn, Lonnie, Jeff, Rod, Greg, Brad and Chad Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Russ Shearer, Glenn Reynolds, Marsdon B. Lake, Wayne Reynolds and Eddy Cartwright.

James E. Burton

He died Friday at home.
Born April 25, 1944, in Mercer County, he was a son of John M. Burton and the late Velma Clifford Burton. He worked in the mixing department at Corning Glass and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Additional survivors include his wife, Betty Isham Burton; two sons, James E. Burton II of Harrodsburg and David R. Peavler of Burgin; a daughter, Karen J. Coontz of Harrodsburg; three brothers, John C. and Glave V. Burton, both of Harrodsburg, and Donald Wayne Burton of Hustonville; and nine grandchildren.

Zula W. Hawkins

She died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1917, in Broughtontown, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Charlotte Rector Jenkins Weaver. She was a former president of the Womens Missionary Society and a former leader of the Girls Auxiliary at Watts Chapel Baptist Church. She was a former member of Crab Orchard Eastern Star and worked as a tax consultant for H&R Block for several years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Faye Hawkins.
Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, George S. Hawkins Sr.; two daughters, Sarah E. Brown of Harrodsburg and Linda M. Rose-Hoagland of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; four sons, George C. Hawkins Jr. of Chandler, Ariz., Royce B. Hawkins of Yosemite, Johnathan Hawkins of Winchester and William D. Hawkins of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Geneva Hawkins of Crab Orchard, Wanda Whitaker of Mesa and Vernice Fain of Lynchburg, Ohio; two brothers, John R. Weaver of Elizabethtown and James Weaver of Crab Orchard; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
