Edwin W. Branaman
Edwin W. Branaman, 80, of North Third Street died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 10, 1920, in Falmouth, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth McGuire Branaman. He was retired from the state veterinarian's office and was an Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church and a graduate of Iowa State School of Veterinary Medicine. He had practiced in Harrodsburg, Shelbyville and Prestonsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen "Kay" Sturgill Branaman; a son, Scott Branaman of Danville; a daughter, Susan Mobley of San Diego, Calif.; two stepsons, Rick Hines of Atlanta and Greg Hines of Minneapolis; and a grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday.

LEBANON -- Patricia Irene "Pattie" Graham Daugherty, 94, of Marion County died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1907, near Gravel Switch, she was the daughter of Matthew and Ollie Moore Graham. She was a member of First Christian Church and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was the widow of Virgil R. Daugherty.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis G. Wirtzl of Orlando; and a grandson.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Lebanon Christian Church by the Rev. Day Case. Burial will be in Haysville Cemetery.
Visitation is 4:30-8 p.m. Saturday at Bosley Funeral Home.

Zula W. Hawkins
CRAB ORCHARD -- Zula Weaver Hawkins, 83, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Thursday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Broughtontown, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Charlotte Jenkins Weaver. She was a former tax consultant for H&R Block, a past president of the Girls Auxiliary of Watts Chapel Baptist Church, and a former member of the Women's Missionary Society. She also was a former member of the Crab Orchard chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, George G. Hawkins Sr.; two daughters, Sarah E. Brown of Harrodsburg and Linda M. Rose-Hoagland of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; four sons, George C. Hawkins Jr. of Chandler, Ariz., Royce B. Hawkins of Yosemite, Johnathan Hawkins of Winchester and David Hawkins of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Geneva Hawkins of Crab Orchard, Wanda Whitaker of Mesa, Ariz., and Vernice Fain of Lynchburg, Ohio; two brothers, John R. Weaver of Elizabethtown and James Weaver of Crab Orchard; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sophus Cemetery, Broughtontown.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Foundation.

HARRODSBURG -- Irmise Lathrop, 80, of Haddix Street died Thursday at McDowell Place.
Born Sept. 10, 1920, in Sumner, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Irene Pullen Smallwood. She was a retired owner of Tastee Freeze and a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member of Charity Sunday School Class. She also was a member of Mercer County Senior Citizens and the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion in Jacksonville, Fla.
Survivors include three sons, Robert M. Lathrop Jr. of Henderson, Nev., James B. Lathrop of Louisville, and John D. Lathrop of Lexington; a daughter, Linda A. Pinkston of Harrodsburg; four brothers, Burland Smallwood, Raymond P. Smallwood, Bill Smallwood and Vance Smallwood, all of Florida; two sisters, Rachel Denmark and Vivian Mulkey, both of Florida; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

HYDEN -- Lee Morgan Jr., 80, of Orlando, Fla., died Sunday.
Born in Hyden, he was the husband of Nina Wheeler Morgan.
Other survivors include three sons, Kenneth Morgan of Lancaster, Carlos Morgan of Stanford and Ricky Morgan of Florida; two daughters, Myrtle L. Morgan and Irene Ortez, both of Orlando; a stepdaughter, Carol Kirby of Orlando; a brother, John Morgan of Orlando; a half brother, Howard Asher of Hyden; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Tonya P. Emerson
WAYNESBURG -- Services for Tonya Gail Perry Emerson, 32, of Centerville, Ind., will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Revs. Mark Payton and Jeff Whitehouse. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind.
Born Oct. 7, 1968, in Kenton County, she was the daughter of Marvin and Janet M. Wall Perry of Walltown. She was a 1986 graduate of Boyle County High School and a 1991 graduate of Midway College of Nursing. She was a registered nurse at Reid Hospital and had worked for Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Fort Logan Hospital and the Garrard and Mercer county health departments. She also was distinguished as being the first doula in this area.
Survivors also include three daughters, Jennifer M., Rachel L. and Abigail L. Emerson, all of Richmond, Ind.; a brother, Robert L. Perry of Las Vegas, Nev.; and maternal grandmother, Marcella Wall of Kings Mountain.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday.

Born Aug. 3, 1919, in Liberty, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Parilee Roberts Henson. He was a farmer and former employee of the state highway department. He was a member of Ferndale Baptist Church and was the widower of Irene "Dean" Henson.
Survivors include five daughters, Mildred Gadberry of Edinburg, Ind., Lucille Richardson of Moreland, Shirley Clark of Science Hill, Drucilla Rodgers and Marcilla Hines, both of Liberty; two sons, Joe Henson of Franklin, Ind., and Gary D. Henson of Liberty; three sisters, Geneva Taylor, Emma Cravens and Marie Elmore, all of Liberty; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose Watts of Harrodsburg, Nina Sallee of Olney, Texas, and Lelia Henley of Frankfort; two sons, Ansel Harlow of Loveland, Ohio, and Joseph Harlow of Cincinnati; two stepsons, David Shaeffer of Florida, and Jerry Sallee of Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Sharon Erickson of Florida; 27 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
