NICHOLASVILLE -- Johnny Burford Miller, 53, of Gravel Switch died Saturday at Norton Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
Born Feb. 25, 1947, he was a son of Ruth Bruner Miller of Gravel Switch and the late George T. Miller.
He was a member of the Bluegrass Horse Pullers Association and Hickman Creek and Boyle County Coon Hunters associations.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Hager Miller; a son, Michael J. Miller of Gravel Switch; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Barker. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul, David and Ray Miller, Dude and Terry Hager, Danny Bruner and Joe Doolin.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Charles T. Propes
LIBERTY -- Charles Thomas Propes, 77, of Randolph Street died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 22, 1923, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Clint and Lena Louallen Propes. He was an auto mechanic and an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Violet Sanders Propes, Gladys Brown Propes and Betty Ellis Propes.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Leach of Bloomington, Ill., and Judy Atkinson of Winchester; two sons, Dallas Propes of Danville and Dale Propes of Frankfort; a sister, Christine Pendleton of Dunnville; two brothers, Robert Propes of Loveland, Ohio, and Howard Propes of Lockland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Clifford Dehart. Burial will be in Green River Valley Cemetery with military rites by Casey County Funeral Squad.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

Emogene Roy
SOMERSET -- Emogene Roy, 77, of Somerset died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Born Oct. 9, 1923, in Argyle, she was a daughter of the late Edgar D. and Flossie Godby Wall. She was an inventory clerk for Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, a member of Southern Heights Christian Church and the widow of Clarence Roy.
Survivors include a son, Danny Roy of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two stepsons, Corky Roy of Stanton and Bobby Joe Roy of Ohio; five daughters, Brenda Murphy of Bethelridge, Joyce Roy of Harrodsburg, Barbara Moore and Sherry Meece, both of Somerset, and Peggy Clark of Junction City; three sisters, Marie Dick of Goshen, Ohio, Freida Jasper of Mintonville, and Lucille Durham of Liberty; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Roy; a daughter, Margaret K. Roy; and a granddaughter.
Services were today at Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial was in Valley Oak Cemetery, Argyle.

Rose Boring
Rose "Boots" Boring, 76, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, formerly of Logan Avenue, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 15, 1925, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Rose Keeton Boring. She was a retired employee of Palm Beach factory and retired waitress of the Coffee Cup Restaurant and dispatcher of Green's Cab Company. She belonged to the Protestant faith.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Charles Taylor of Danville; a niece, Sherry Eversole, with whom she lived, of Danville; and several other nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Garland. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Bottoms Jr., Ted Hodge, Toby Farmer, Butch Taylor, Monty Jay Bryant, Monty Jay Bryant Jr. and Dickie Brock.

Lucille Spoonamore
Mary Lucille Beck Spoonamore of 5035 Lancaster Road died Friday at her residence.
Born in McKinney, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Elizabeth Campbell Beck. She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. A graduate of Hustonville High School, she attended Eastern Kentucky University. She served as president and was the last living charter member of the Lancaster Road Homemakers Club, chartered in 1937. She was the widow of Logan C. Spoonamore.
Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine Dietrick of Lancaster; one son, Logan Fox Spoonamore of Danville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Centenary United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Born Sept. 15, 1915, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Cora Dell Neely Cheatham. She was a homemaker and a member of Junction City Baptist Church where she belonged to the Women's Missionary Union and the Dorcas Sunday School class. She was the widow of John Richard Upton. She was preceded in death by a son, J.C. Upton.
Survivors include three daughters, Elsie L. High and Tootie Coffman, both of Junction City, and LoJuanna R. Antle of Pine Hurst, N.C. ; two sons, Leonard L. Upton of Junction City and Harold B. Upton of Waynesburg; one sister, Dollie Case of Danville; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Upton, Harold Upton, Jerry High III, Joel High, Archie Coffman III, Daniel Campbell and Michael Antle.
