LIBERTY -- Loretta Joyce Evans, 65, of Cleves, Ohio, died Monday in Cleves.
Born Nov. 5, 1935, in Cincinnati, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Geneva Neff Allen. She was a homemaker and the widow of Roy Evans, formerly of Casey County.
Survivors include there sisters, Barbara Coulter and Patricia Goodman, both of Cincinnati, and Shirley Fonarow of Pennsylvania; six brothers, Lloyd Allen of Illinois, and Cornelius, Benjamin, Ronald, Donald and Bennie Allen, all of Cincinnati.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Dwight Coffman. Burial will be in Green River Valley Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Harold Lamb
LANCASTER -- Harold Lamb, 65, of Doty Lane died Tuesday at his home.
Born Dec. 10, 1934, in Garrard County, he was a son of Richard Lamb of Madison County and the late Ida M. Masters Lamb. He was a retired locksmith for Eastern Kentucky University and a farmer. He was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
Other survivors include his wife, Priscilla Carlton Lamb of Paint Lick; a daughter, Penny East of Paint Lick; a son, Steve Morgan of Richmond; two sisters, Ruth Denny of Paint Lick and Lucille Pryce of Richmond, Ind.; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Thurman. Burial will be in Paint Lick Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby, Steve and Tony Nipper, Charlie Turpin, Joe Reynolds and Bruce Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Lois Todd, Cecil Lamb, Melvin Begley, Otis Todd, Lewis Lamb, Don VanHook, Roy Lamb and Clay Gibson.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday.

John C. Woodard
HARRODSBURG -- John C. "Pistol" Woodard, 76, of South Daytona, Fla., died Sunday at Mariner Health Care Center in Port Orange, Fla.
Born in Harrodsburg, he was a manager for Leggett and Myers Tobacco Co., and retired from Halifax Paving Co. in Daytona Beach. He was a member of Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, the First Marine Division Association and Florida Sheriff's Association. He also was a member of Port Orange Elks Lodge and Dayton Beach Masonic Lodge. He was a World War II Marine veteran. He was a member of University of Kentucky K-Men's Association and was a Bryant K-Man having played for Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Woodard; his stepmother, Margaret Woodard of Harrodsburg; a stepson, William A. Link of South Daytona; three brothers, Clinton, Gordon and Harry Woodard, all of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Sara Sims of Harrodsburg, Patty Boyd of Danville and Margie Senton of Galena, Ohio.
A memorial service will be Saturday in Port Orange. Interment will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at a later date.

SPRINGFIELD -- John D. "Bud" Bottom, 68, of Springfield died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 18, 1931, in Washington County, he was a son of the late Dick and Edith Milburn Bottom. He was a longtime employee of Harrodsburg Tobacco and Candy Co. and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Steward Kelly Bottom; two sons, John D. Bottom Jr. of Springfield and Donnie Bottom of Harrodsburg; a sister, Betsy Roney of Springfield; a brother, Donald Bottom of Mount Washington; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. James Owens. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Born Dec. 5, 1921, in Dabney, she was a daughter of the late Charlie Price and Lena Vaught Price Wheeler. She was a merchant and a member of Eden Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Sandidge; a son, Bruce Sandidge of Eubank; a daughter, Jayne Livesay of Eubank; two sisters, Hazel Brown of Somerset and Mildred Billingsly of Minneapolis, Minn.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home by Harold Carter and Noel Dodson. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery.

NORVELT, Pa. -- Elizabeth "Bitsy" Thomas Spencer, 38, of Norvelt died Saturday at her home.
Born July 31, 1962, in Danville, she was a daughter of Gloria Smith Thomas of Moreland and the late Maurice Thomas. She was a library clerk, a member of Hempfield Church of Christ, and a graduate of Lincoln County High School and Christian College in Grayson.
Other survivors include her husband, Timothy R. Spencer; two sons, Paul and Todd Spencer; and two daughters, Emily and Mary Spencer; two sisters, Rachel Bradshaw of Monticello and Sarah Thomas of Moreland; a brother, Greg Thomas of Hustonville.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hempfield Church of Christ in Greensburg. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Trauger, Pa.

Elvira E. Landwere, 77, of Nosco Road, Junction City, died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 19, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan., she was a daughter of the late Louis A. and Sarah Schuler. She was a homemaker and was a Methodist. She was the wife of Gerald Landwere.
She is also survived by a daughter, Linda Hatcher of Junction City; and three sisters, Barbara Bornman of Escondido, Calif., Carol Martin of Hobefound, Fla., and Alice Knight, of Cassville, Mo.

George N. Woolcott Sr.
HARRODSBURG -- Graveside services for George N. Woolcott Sr., 88, of Handy Pike were 2 p.m., today at Spring Hill Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at his residence.
Born Feb. 4, 1912, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Nelson and Clara Mae Seten Woolcott. He was a retired attorney and farmer and belonged to Harrodsburg United Methodist Church. He was a 1934 graduate of University of Kentucky and was admitted to the bar in 1936. He practiced law in Harrodsburg for a number of years. He also was an Army veteran.
Survivors include two sons, George Nelson Woolcott Jr. of Burgin and Charles Steven Woolcott of Harrodsburg; one brother, Nelson Woolcott Jr. of Lexington and one sister, Virginia Woolcott of Lexington.
Pallbearers were Mitch Bugg, Tommy Beasley, John Hall, David Taylor, Earl Campbell and Eddie Drury.
