LANCASTER -- Services for Nellie Underwood Kersey, 91, of Richmond will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Daryl Hodge and Leland Hagens. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Monday at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond.
Born Jan. 13, 1910, in Jessamine County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Ella Stinnett Underwood. She was a homemaker and attended Lancaster Church of the Nazarene. She was the widow of Robert C. Kersey.
Survivors include a son, Carlos R. Kersey of McKinney; two daughters, Eva Shearer of Richmond and Corena Collins of Mount Olivet; a brother, Joe Underwood Jr. of Lexington; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marjorie Kersey and Della Coomer; and two sons, James R. and John S. Kersey.
Pallbearers will be David Robinson, Tony Kersey, James Kersey, Ronald Shearer Jr., Harold Robinson and William Tanner.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Millicent P. Anderson
Millicent Peterson Anderson, 78, of Windsor Court died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born July 21, 1922, in Jackson, Minn., she was a retired secretary, having worked for the Legislative Research Commission, Danville Comprehensive Care Center, Danville Redryer, and Danville Community Chest. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton R. "Andy" Anderson of Anderson County and Doelan M. Anderson of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Arlone Peterson of Texas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Mable Underwood Eubank, 82, of Cheryl Lane died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1918, in Smithville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late William R. and Minnie Hibdon Underwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William J. Eubank; a son, Carl T. Eubank of Lexington; three sisters, Georgia Hildreth of Lenore City, Tenn., Jodi Turner of Smithville, and Rachel West of Nashville; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel United Methodist Church in Smithville. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be after noon Saturday at the church and 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to Danville Senior Citizens Center.

LONGWOOD, Fla. -- Martha Selby Harrod, 78, of Longwood, formerly of Danville, died Saturday in Longwood.
Born Jan. 20, 1923, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Mary Selby. She had owned a restaurant in Louisville, was a real estate agent, and had worked for the Army map corps. She was a Baptist and the widow of Cliff Harrod.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam White of Longwood, Fla.; a son, Jack Hendricks of Mount Dora, Fla.; a sister, Viola Jackson of Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park and Cemetery.

Porter Kidd
STANFORD -- Porter Kidd, 88, of Youngs Court died Saturday at his home.
Born Sept. 2, 1912, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Ollie and Susie Brummett Kidd. He was a farmer, truck driver and carpenter. He had served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of Church of God. He was the widower of Jewell Young Kidd.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie Kidd of Somerset; Jimmy and Tommy Kidd, both of Cincinnati; three sisters, Marie VanArsdale and Erlene Young, both of Lexington, and Pauline Wolff of Cincinnati; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by Stewart Dawson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

HARRODSBURG -- Shelia Prather, 47, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Saturday at her home.
Born Aug. 3, 1953, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of Catherine Lowry Carroll of Harrodsburg and the late Julius Estes. She was a registered nurse at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was a graduate of Midway College School of Nursing and a former co-owner of Cedar Grove Country Club for Pets. She was a nationally recognized winner of numerous awards at professional dog show competitions.
Other survivors include her stepfather, Marvin Carroll of Harrodsburg; her former husband, Gary Prather of Lawrenceburg; a son, Brian D. Preston of Lawrenceburg; a daughter, Stacy L. Poling of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Barry Estes of Indianapolis, James C. Monroe of Florida, and Johnny Monroe of Burgin; and a sister, Judy Williams of Harrodsburg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Born Nov. 2, 1913, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Noel McCulley. She was a former owner of the Country Diner and a Methodist. She was the widow of Jess Simpson.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelby Cain of Stanford and Noretta Moss of Lexington; two sons, Ralph "Smokey" Simpson of Lancaster and Johnny Simpson of Berea; a sister, Gladys Ward of Kirksville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryce McCulley. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
