Edna P. "Penny" Glass, 56, of Seminole Trail died Friday at her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1944, in Loris, S.C., she was the daughter of Harrell and Allene Jones of Charlotte, N.C. She was the Centre College post office supervisor and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Other survivors include her husband, Bob Glass; a daughter, Tracie Carson of Danville; two sisters, Francis Jarman of Newport, N.C. and Luwana Lohr of Rock Hill, S.C.; a brother, Sam Jones of Whitesburg, Ga.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church by the Rev. Paul Prabell. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Fredia C. Wayne
Fredia Conley Wayne, 72, of Roanoke Drive, Harrodsburg, formerly of Danville, died Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg.
Born June 8, 1928, in Louisa, she was the daughter of the late Orlando and Ollie Wheeler Daniel. She was a retired manager for AT&T, a member of Lexington United Baptist Church, a member of the Eastern Star and the Telephone Pioneers. She was a former member of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Wayne Jr.; two daughters, Evelyn Guerrant of Danville and Judy Lowry of Orlando, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Vicky Perkins of Lebanon and Myra McCrystal of Harrodsburg; a stepson, Ronnie Wayne of Erlanger; two sisters, Hazel Franklin of Paintsville and Ruby Davis of Ohio; a brother, Bill Daniel of Leesburg, Fla.; four grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; a great-grandaughter; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Scott Conley.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Roy Smith and Jeff Cooper. Burial will be in Bellvue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Darnell, Eric and Ben Guerrant, Jeremy Lowry, Ronnie Wayne, Paul Lockwood and Donnie Samhat.
Visitation is 2-7 p.m. today.

Blanche E. King
LIBERTY-- Blanche Evelyn King, 87, of Clarksville, Ind., formerly of Upper Brush Creek, Hustonville, died Friday at West Minister Health Care Center in Clarksville.
Born Jan. 29, 1914, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Alma Cochran King. She was a former clerk at Kings Department Store and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She was the widow of George W. King.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Hyatt of Clarksville; a son, Sherwin King of Hustonville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Olis and Eulis King; and three sisters, Veltha Carr, Dorothy Buck and Hazel Coffman.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. G.W. Smith. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

STANFORD -- Minta M. Estes, 89, of 3155 Ky. 198, McKinney, died Friday at Norton Hospital Southwest in Louisville.
Born Jan. 9, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Logan S. and Lueannie Spears Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Harris Memorial United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Edsel Wesley Estes.
Survivors include two sons, Glenn Estes of Hustonville and Harold Estes of Greenville, Texas; a sister, Edna Phillips of Lexington; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Beck. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Alfred Thompson
BARBOURVILLE -- Alfred Thompson, 72, of Barbourville died Wednesday at Knox County Hospital.
Born March 21, 1928, in Harlan County, he was the son of the late Fannie Thompson. He was a retired Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Barbourville.
Survivors include a sister, Imogene McCowan of Danville; and two brothers, Rosell Tinsley of Flat Lick and Richard Tinsley of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Services were Saturday at Hopper Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. John Clark and Eugene Mays. Burial was in Tanyard Cemetery in Barbourville.
Pallbearers were Wendell and Mark Clark, Melton, Felton, Ricky and Richard Tinsley, Jack Brown and C. Pittman.

PERRYVILLE -- Services for Edgar Godbey, 68, of Dix Dam Road, Harrodsburg, formerly of Boyle County, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Rev. Randy McPherson. Burial will be Hillcrest Cemetery.
He died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born August 10, 1932, in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Joseph N. and Matrie Wesley Godbey. He was a retired plummer.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Blevins Godbey; a son, Eddie Godbey of Alabama; three stepsons, Carl Lee Baker of Richmond, Kenny Baker of Harrodsburg and Robert Baker of Danville; a stepdaughter, Rena Crepps of Lexington; two sisters, Flonnie Bird of Harrodsburg and Viola Webb of Lexington; three brothers, Floyd Godbey of Harrodsburg, Velmer Godbey of Lawrenceburg and Delmer Godbey of Frankfort.
Pallbearers will be Kenny, Carl Lee and Robert Baker, Ron Crepps, Johnny Allen and Barry Arnold.

Frances Gooch Moore, 73, of Main Street, Junction City, died Thursday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born Feb. 6, 1928, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna Huffman Gooch. She was a former owner of Moore's Grocery. She was a member of First Christian Church and the widow of Joseph R. Moore.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph L. Moore of Birmingham, Ala., and George W. Moore of Mount Sterling; two sisters, Virginia Bryant of Louisville and Martha Murphy of Lancaster; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

Robert E. Powell
Robert Eugene Powell, 71, of Frenchburg died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born Aug. 5, 1929, in Danville, he was a son of the late John H. and Margaret Fox Powell. He was a retired writer and journalist. He was former editor of the Army "P.S. Magazine" and had worked for various newspapers. He was the author of three books, including "Bits of Bluegrass," "The River Master," and "The Bugle is Silent."
He was a graduate of Danville High School and University of Kentucky, and earned his master's degree at Morehead State University. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Day Powell; two sons, Stephen Powell of Lexington and John D. Powell of Frenchburg; two daughters, Nancy K. Dural of Lexington and Margaret A. Wells of Frenchburg; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Frenchburg Presbyterian Church.

HARRODSBURG -- Harry Scott James, 57, of Lexington, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday at his home.
Born Jan. 17, 1944, in Mercer County, he was a son of Henry and Juanita Scott James of Harrodsburg. He was an insurance agent and musician, and an employee of Heritage Construction in Lexington.
Other survivors include three daughters, Helena Taylor of Bentonville, Ark., Christina and Beverly James, both of Lexington.
