PERRYVILLE -- Samuel A. Glasscock, 78, of South Buell Street died today at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor.
Born Feb. 22, 1922, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Myrtle Hays Glasscock. He was a retired farmer, member of Beech Fork Baptist Church in Marion County, and former member of the board of directors of Southern States. He was the widower of Geneva Whitehouse Glasscock.
Survivors include a daughter, JoNell Wilder of Perryville; three sons, Sonny Glasscock and Randy Glasscock, both of Perryville, and Lee Glasscock of Lebanon; three sisters, Madalyn Harmon of Gravel Switch, June Holderman of Perryville and Gnell Crain of Perryville; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Guy McCombs and John David Lane. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Wilder Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to the Joni Wilder Scholarship Fund.

LEXINGTON -- Jerry Wayne Lovett, 55, of Lexington died Sunday at his home.
Born in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Estus and Marie Preston Lovett. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church, a Marine Corps veteran and a retired driver for UPS.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Regina Lysell and Rhonda Greer, both of Lexington; four sisters, Wanda Bow and Debbie Abbott, both of Danville, Brenda Phillips of Lexington and Margaret Frisby of Stanford; and a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Mike Allen. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.

Mary J. Webster
WAYNESBURG -- Mary Jenkins Webster, 67, of the Highland community died Sunday at her home.
Born March 14, 1933, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Laura Gaines Webster. She was a former employee of IBM in Lexington and was the widow of Lloyd Webster.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Webster of Lexington; Rwonnia Hartman of Pleasureville; three brothers, Clyde E. Jenkins and Russell Jenkins, both of Waynesburg, and Delbert Jenkins of Williamstown; a sister, Jewell Wilder of Kings Mountain; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Highland United Methodist Church by the Rev. Vola Brown. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Elsie D. Smith
Services for Elsie Mae Dye Smith, 83, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Wendell Douglas. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
She died Monday.
Born Oct. 6, 1917, in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ann E. Pittman Clarkson. She was a cook at Bluegrass Coffee Shop and a member of Mitchellsburg Church of God. She was the widow of Alfred Smith and Luther Dye.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Houser of Lake Suzy, Fla.; a son, Billy Dye of Danville; a sister, Gladys Abrams of Liberty; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Dye; and a grandson.
Pallbearers will be Joe Reardon, Jeff Reardon, Carroll Reardon Jr., Charlie Pittman, Jeremy Dockery and Gary Polson. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Houser, Larry Moore and Gene Triplett.

He died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 21, 1932, in Kirkwood, he was the son of the late Russell and Reva Cammack Ellis. He was owner and operator of Ellis Auto Sales, a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the American Legion. He had served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Lucianna Ellis; two sons, Darrell and Jimmy Ellis, both of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Ann Ellis of Harrodsburg; a sister, Joyce Elliott of Harrodsburg; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Harley and Terry Cornish. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie and Bobby Cammack, Johnny Ellis, Jim McGlone, Paul Blacketer, Joe Stevens, Darren VanDiver and Don Yates.

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Georgia Smith Hayes, 77, of West Office Street will be 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Virgil Hill. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
She died Sunday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 22, 1923, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Grace E. Johnson Smith. She graduated from West Side High School and attended Wilberforce College in Ohio.
She was a homemaker, an employee of Social Services, and a member of First Baptist Church where she served on the usher board, missionary society and was the church's pianist for a number of years. She was the widow of Vincent Hayes Sr.
Survivors include four sons, William Kendick and James Hayes, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Vincent Hayes, Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and Albert L. Hayes of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Kathryn VanDyke of Harrodsburg; a sister, Lou Ella Goodman of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald, Donald and Byron T. Hayes; and two daughters, Joyce and Doris Hayes.
Pallbearers will be James Lyons, Scott Jones, Gary Mays, John Smith, Jesse Thomas, Andy Harris and Chris Short.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

MORELAND -- Martha Elizabeth Burgin Dundon, 93, of Danville, formerly of Bradenton, Fla., died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1907, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late W.W. and Bettie Edmiston Burgin. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington and the widow of John T. Dundon.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph C. Burgin of Louisville; three sisters, Nancy Pettus of Danville, Jamie Pearson of Shelbyville and Barbara Leigh of Stanford.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hustonville Christian Church by the Revs. Betsy Smith and Don Burton. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery.

Born Nov. 3, 1929, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Ross Nield. She was a retired accounting clerk for the Civil Service at Fort Knox for 30 years.
Survivors include five daughters, Susan Brey of Elizabethtown, Jennie Perry and Ramona Perry, both of Lancaster, Cindy Perry of Rineyville and Etta Manns of Tacoma, Wash.; a son, Jimmy Lambert of Danville; a sister, Margaret Nield of Perryville; a brother, Norman Nield of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.

Born Sept. 24, 1921, she was a daughter of the later John P. and Della Campbell Hays. She was the widow of Vernon Montgomery. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude Taylor of Liberty and Marie Hankla of Louisville.
