LANCASTER -- Services for Lucille Humphrey Rogers, 81, of Bardstown, formerly of Lancaster, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Tom Crawford. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Tuesday at Flaget Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 19, 1920, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Sallie Maggie Barker Humphrey. She was a nursing assistant at Garrard County Memorial Hospital and a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church. She was the widow of Clayton "Clip" Rogers.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Monin of Bardstown; two sons, Jerry Rogers of Lancaster and Jackie Rogers of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Rogers, Jackie Wayne Rogers, Anthony Rogers, Henry Agee, David Gay and Clyde Sherrow.
Honorary pallbearers Holman Preston, Bobby Preston, Billy Mosley, Vernon Carman, Dale Kirby and Earl Shaw.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Laura B. Stinnett
HARRODSBURG -- Services for Laura B. Stinnett, 85, of Lexington Road will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Allen Hensley. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 17, 1915, in Leslie County, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Lucinda Fields Hensley. She was a former midwife and a member of United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Rector of Brodhead and Bill Rector of Lexington; two daughters, Ruth Lamb of Harrodsburg and Sue Beasley of Tyrone; three brothers, Harvey and Irvine Hensley, both of Brodhead, and Elmore Hensley of Georgia; three sisters, Oma Abrams of Rockcastle County, Geneva Sparks of Brodhead and Alice Alexander of Waynesville, Ohio; 32 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Rector, and a daughter, Bernice Wiley.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Thursday.

Charles McCormack
Services for Charles McCormack Jr., 84, of Martin Luther King Boulevard will be noon Thursday at Church of God of America by the Revs. Larry Weathers and Timothy Napier. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
He died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 16, 1916, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Arch and Catherine Cooper McCormack. He was a retired employee of Inter-County RECC and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Jones McCormack; three daughters, Sherline McCormack and Sarah Hamilton, both of Danville, and Eloise A. Gooch of Junction City; a stepdaughter, Arnice Gooch of Danville; two brothers, Donald McCormack of Somerset and Alford McCormack of Danville; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Coleman, Lee Wall, Lester Patton, James Hamilton, James Hamilton Jr., Robert Gooch and Charles Armstrong.
Honorary pallbearers are active and retired employees of Inter-County Energy.
Visitation is 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service at the church.

Mamie P. Taylor
Services for Mamie Beard Prince Taylor, 95, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, a retired beautician, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Hill. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
She was a beautician in Danville for over 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as an usher for over 40 years. She also was a member of the Progressive Club, Busy Sunshine Club, Elks Lodge, Beauticians Club, Merry Makers Club and the Kentucky Club. She was the widow of Dan Taylor.
Taylor was a 1926 gradate of Bate High School and attended Kentucky State College and later graduated from Madame C.J. Walker Beauty School of Louisville. At the time of her death, she had been the oldest living graduate of Bate High School. She also helped other African-Americam women become hair dressers by providing internships in her shop. She taught at Junction City Grade School before becoming a hair dresser.
Born July 25, 1905, in Shelby County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Della Beard.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Debbie Prince of Louisville; a companion, Christine Gibbons of Liberty; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Price of Danville. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Prince.
Visitation is 11 a.m. Monday until time of service.

Donald Hamilton
WAYNESBURG -- Donald "Grandpa" Hamilton, 72, of Star Avenue, Stanford, died Thursday at Danville Centre For Health and Rehabilitation.
Born July 20, 1928, he was a son of the late Chester and Alta Statham Hamilton. He was a driver for an auto auction company in Indianapolis, Ind., and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was the widower of Dorothy Roberts Hamilton.
Survivors include a son, John M. Perciful of Georgetown, Ind.; two daughters, Pat Bullock of Lancaster and Charlene Bullock of Williamsburg, Va.; two brothers, Harold Hamilton of Cincinnati and Augustus Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion.

SCIENCE HILL -- Susie T. Stephens, 90, of Somerset died Wednesday at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 26, 1910, in Leslie County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Charlotte Cress Turner. She was a homemaker and the widower of Mack Stephens.
Survivors include five sons, Lonnie McKinney of Leitchfield, Ronald Stephens of Stanford, Wayne Stephens of Waynesburg, Glen Stephens of Eubank and Larry Stephens of Science Hill; five daughters, Margie Hill of Deland, Fla., Norma Salyers of Science Hill, Maxine Salyers of Somerset and Wanda Henderson of Stanford; two brothers, Chesley and Carl Turner; three sisters, Anna L. Cook, Orpha Adams and Dorothy Cook; 31 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

He died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born June 23, 1912, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late William and Minnie Arnold Leavell. He was retired from the state Department of Highways.
Survivors include a son, Robert A. Leavell of Lancaster; a daughter, Anna Leavell of Lancaster; and a sister, Minnie L. Arnold of Lancaster.

Gilbert Chance
LANCASTER -- Gilbert Chance, 83, of East Third Street, Perryville, died Wednesday at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
Born July 30, 1917, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Dan and Rosa Terrell Chance. He was a retired bookkeeper for Mayes, Helm and Coyle Hardware and a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a World War II Marine veteran and a member of Battlefield Post 301, American Legion, in Perryville.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Sebastian Chance; and a son, Bill Chance of Perryville. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel T. Chance.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Revs. Jeff King and Bobby Greene. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
