CRAB ORCHARD -- John Baldwin, 69, of Brodhead Road died Wednesday at Rockcastle County Hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1933, in Parrot, he was the son of the late Coy and Ella Fields Baldwin. He was a mechanic at Southern States in Berea for 20 years, a farmer, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Dayne Blanton Baldwin; a daughter, Joann Rouse of Crab Orchard; a son, Johnny Baldwin of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Susie McGuffey of Cabot, Ark.; four brothers, Walter, Paul and Estill Baldwin, all of Crab Orchard, and Marion Baldwin of Middlesboro; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred L. Baldwin.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home by Vernon Doan and Ira Miller. Burial will be in Freedom Church Cemetery, Mount Vernon.
Pallbearers will be Regal, Philip, Chris and Eugene Baldwin, Sherman Allen and Bobby Caldwell.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

McKEE -- Howard B. Shepherd, 64, of Acres Drive, Danville, died Monday at his home.
Born Aug. 25, 1938, in Jackson County, he was the son of Nona Isaacs of McKee and the late Ben Shepherd.
Other survivors include three sons, Alvin and James Shepherd, both of Danville, and Chris Shepherd of Stanton; two daughters, Sharon Robinson of Danville and Teresa Cooley of Stanford; a brother, Donnie Isaacs of Sand Gap; three sisters, Daisey Shepherd of McKee, Junie Lawrence of Lexington and Judy Anglin of Richmond; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday at Justice Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Rose. Burial was in Issacs Family Cemetery in Sand Gap.

PERRYVILLE -- Services for Dalton James Earl McGrath will be 10 a.m. Friday at Salt River Baptist Church by the Rev. Bob Bausum. Burial will be in Maxey Valley Cemetery, Lincoln County.
He was the son of Gregory and Joanna Reardon McGrath of Junction City and was stillborn Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

MORELAND -- Services for Dorothy Mae Coontz Johnson, 68, of Fifth Street, Danville, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Danville Church of God by the Revs. Lonnie Daugherty, Rusty Townsend and Gary Story. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.
She died Wednesday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Aug. 8, 1934, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Ola Bell Anderson Coontz. She was a retired employee of Genesco and a member of Danville Church of God.
Survivors include a son, James "Jimmy" Johnson Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Bobby Coontz of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Glenda Withrow of Salinas, Calif., and Mary Ann Wray of Stanford; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Eddy Johnson, Rick Lawson, Caleb Wray, Lawrence Wray Jr., Paul Bodner and Ed Music.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Coontz, Chris Cook, Gary Lanham Sr., Mark Coontz, Billy Johnson and Tommy Ray.

Shonda M. Montooth
MORELAND -- Shonda Ruth Maddox Montooth, 24, of Waynesburg died Tuesday in Lincoln County.
Born Dec. 22, 1977, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of Bobby and Linda Maddox of Moreland. She was a teacher at Marion County High School and had taught a year at Pulaski County High School. She was a graduate of Casey County High School and Lindsey Wilson College, having earned a biology degree and teaching certificate. She was a member of Moreland First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Other survivors include her husband, Dennis Lee Montooth of Waynesburg; a sister, Robin L. Byrd of Hustonville; a brother, Robert M. Maddox of Hustonville; and paternal grandmother, Audrey Maddox of Hustonville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Moreland First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Born Aug. 29, 1926, in Bradfordsville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillie Johnson Burchell. She was a former inspector for Fruit of the Loom and a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church and Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Lee Atwood; two sons, Billy Atwood of Mitchellsburg and Danny Atwood of Bellefontaine, Ohio; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Archie Lee Atwood.

JoAnn Baughman
HARRODSBURG -- Services for JoAnn Baughman of Beaumont Avenue will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harrodsburg Christian Church by James Baughman. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Born Nov. 26, 1934, in Atlanta, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Rankin E. and Loraine Ransdell Montgomery.
She was a homemaker and a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. John S. Baughman; four sons, Tom R. Baughman, Robert E. Baughman and William M. Baughman, all of Harrodsburg, and John S. Baughman IV of Williamsburg; and six grandchildren.

Maurice L. Sweazy
PERRYVILLE -- Maurice Leroy Sweazy, 60, of East Second Street died Monday in Lexington.
Born Jan. 23, 1942, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Jack and Juanita Coyle Sweazy. He was a retired self-employed brick mason. He had served in the Navy as a radio operator during the Vietnam era and was a member of Perryville Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeana Smith of Texas and Marci Sweazy of Danville; a son, Eric Sweazy of Danville; a brother, Bobby Sweazy of Lexington; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with a memorial service at 8 a.m.
Angeline J. Williams
Angeline Jett Williams, 83, died Saturday in Las Vegas, Nev.
Born July 12, 1919, in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jeptha C. and Mabel Rayburn Jett. She was a graduate of Danville High School, attended Centre College, and graduated from the University of Kentucky.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan W. Vallercorse of Las Vegas; a son, David P. Williams of Chandler, Ariz.; a sister, Nancy J. Dorsey of Richmond, Va.; and a brother, Jeptha R. Jett of Danville.
