Frebert V. Thompson
STANFORD -- Frebert Virgil "Tommy" Thompson, 80, of Lexington died Saturday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.
Born Oct. 11, 1922, in Kings Mountain, he was a son of the late William V. and Gertrude Godbey Thompson. He was a draftsman and worked at General Electric Co. where he designed aircraft components and also worked for the Lexington-Fayette County street department. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and was an Air Force veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War as a captain.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Nowell Thompson; a son, Kim Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M.; a stepson, Phil Ingram of Albuquerque; a stepdaughter, Anita Meyer of Mount Orab, Ohio; three brothers, Lynnville Thompson of Valdosta, Ga., Gerald Thompson of Richmond and Harold Thompson of Dayton, Ohio; two grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Locust Grove Baptist Church by Steve Jarrell and John Dean. Burial will be in KP Hall Cemetery.
Visitation is 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the church.

Anna Wethington
LIBERTY -- Anna Wethington Henrickson, 60, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Casey County, died Thursday in Kissimmee.
Born Dec. 23, 1941, in Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Odesta Wethington. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcie Garrett of Princeton, Ind.; a brother, David Wethington of Kissimmee; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula D. Bledsoe.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Hamilton. Burial will be in St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 p.m. today.

Loles Denny
CRAB ORCHARD -- Loles Denny, 81, of South Elm Street, formerly of Lexington, died Wednesday at his home.
Born Sept. 14, 1921, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Delia Rector Denny. He was a member of New Hope First Church of God. He was retired after 23 years as a press operator with the Lexington Herald Leader. He was a Navy veteran having served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Thetta Hawkins Denny; four sons, Hess and Lane Denny, both of Lexington, Hisle Denny of Lawrenceburg and Lyle Denny of Wilmore; five daughters, Joan Deatherage of Stanford, Leora Sullivan of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., Jan Combs of Russellville, Joy Bishop of Georgetown and Kathy Havens of Lexington; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Berlon C. Denny; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKnight Funeral Home by Harold Harness and Cecil Roundtree. Burial will be in Sophus Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Deatherage, Butch Sullivan, Shane Havens, Sean, Adam and Brandon Denny. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Havens, Chris Denny, Dana, Chuck and Adam Deatherage.

Raymond U. Lay
LIBERTY -- Raymond Ural Lay, 64, of Vevay, Ind., died Tuesday in Rising Sun, Ind.
Born June 26, 1938, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Thornton and Rosie Vaughn Lay. He was a former custodian at Belterra Casino in Indiana, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include a his stepmother, Bessie Lay of Rising Sun; a daughter, Patty Jo Courter of Holton, Ind.; five brothers, Stanley Lay of Holton, Alton and Jesse Lay, both of Vevay, Carl Lay of Rising Sun and Chester Lay of Bennington, Ind.; four sisters, Datha Carmon of Greensburg, Ind., Carolyn Wright of Milan, Ind., and Linda Cann and Connie Figmon, both of Rising Sun; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Clifford Dehart. Burial will be in Whited Cemetery.

LIBERTY -- Velma Mushin, 91, of Middleburg died Wednesday at her home.
Born April 1, 1911, in McKinney, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mona Gooch Montgomery. She was the widow of Robert O. Mushin. She was a former Middleburg School cook and a member of Middleburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Elaine Johnson of Hustonville, Faye Bastin of Cincinnati, Thelma Elliott of Middleburg, Bobbie Gail Morgan of Hot Springs, Ark., and Carolyn Simpson of Atlanta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bartle Funeral Home by the Rev. Mike Hatter. Burial will be in Middleburg Cemetery.

LANCASTER -- Pamela Sue Sebastian, 52, of White Oak Road died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 4, 1950, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Bluford and Bernice Combs Sebastian of Stanford. She was a former manager of Mom Blakeman Candies.
Other survivors include a sister, Joyce Thompson of Stanford; a niece and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Barry Jeffries. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Avanell C. Pyle
Services for Avanell Craig Pyle, 88, of Arnold Tower will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Lance A. Perry. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 30, 1913, in Muhlenberg County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar H. and Agnes I. Hendricks Craig. She was a retired licensed beautician and had worked at Embry's Hair Salon in Lexington. She was owner of Avanell's Antiques in Lincoln and Boyle counties for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a horsewoman and raised standardbred horses with her husband and continued after his death at Violet Slope Farm in Hustonville. She attended Western Kentucky University and is the widow of James I. Pyle.
Survivors include a daughter, Haldis E. Pyle of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two sons, James L. Pyle of Harrodsburg and Charles H. Pyle of Stanford; two sisters, Daphne Baker of Dayton, Ohio, and Imogene Tinkle of Greenville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Brian and Craig Pyle, Robin Applegate, Todd Kirkpatrick and Tony Finley.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 Saturday.

Perry A. Hawn
Perry A. Hawn, 84, of Highfield Road died Saturday at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington.
Born April 13, 1918, in Deer Lodge, Tenn., he was the son of the late Albert and Addie Wilson Hawn.
He was a retired mechanic and owner and operator of Hawn Marine and owner of Hawn's Garage.
He was a member of the Lions Club, Danville-Boyle County Airport Board, and a charter member of Boyle County Fish and Game Club.
He was a former City Council member and a World War II Navy Seabee.
Survivors include his wife, Molly Kelsey Hawn; a son, Mickey Hawn of Danville; a brother, Paul Hawn of Hamilton, Ohio; three sisters, Irene Caldwell of Danville, Pauline Liersemann of Ohio, and Loraine Hearberlin of Grayson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Odis Clark. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 a.m. Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Charles William "Billy" Hill, 64, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Friday in Indianapolis.
He was the son of the late Roy and Cecil Hill. He was a Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include his wife, Toni Hill; eight daughters, Charlene Young, Sharon Reed and Sandra Hill, all of Lexington, Adrianna Letcher of Danville, Teri Barnes of Indiana, Kelly McDaniel of Indianapolis, Kim Graves and Karen Brown; two sisters, Frances Poole of Harvey, Ill., and Rosella GeoJaJa of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Indianapolis.
