He died Thursday at Stanford House nursing home.
Born Nov. 9, 1911, in Alpine, he was the son of the late James T. and Nannie Freeman.
Survivors include a son, Phillip K. Freeman; four brothers, William O. Freeman of Vandalia, Ohio, Robert Freeman of Danville, Tedd Cecil Freeman of Bushnell, Fla., and R. Jack Freeman of Nashville; four sisters, Opal Preston, Helen Brown and Jean Sargent, all of Danville, and Jennie Powell of Maitland, Fla.

Services for Mary Belle Dye Eberts, 94, of Danville will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. George E. Dye. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Evelyn Hester
LANCASTER -- Services for Evelyn Robinson Hester, 84, of Maple Court will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Dwight Forderhase. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
She died Saturday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital.
Born May 18, 1918, in Paint Lick, she was the daughter of the late G.B. and Annie Shockey Robinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lancaster First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Hester; a brother, Travis Robinson of Lexington; and a sister, Lucille Kelley of Lexington.
Pallbearers will be Richard, Donnie, David, Ralph and Robert Hester, Steve Horn, Bobby Powell and Russell Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Cecil and James Sanders, Stuart Powell, Reed Baierlein, Kenny Robinson, Stanley Kelley, David Wilcox and Betty Metcalf.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.

Herbert W. Crown
Herbert Wayne Crown, 75, of Guinn Island Circle died Sunday at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
Born Sept. 6, 1927, in Nashport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Nola Otis and Helen Creager Crown. He was retired from Ohio State University where he taught and worked with the extension service. He earned his bachelor of science and masters degrees in farm management form Ohio State University.
He was a past president and 34-year member of Mount Gillead Kiwanis Club. He was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was co-chairman with his wife of the Red Cross blood program.
He also was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a World War II veteran having served during the Japanese Occupation.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Broughton Crown; a daughter, Kathy Crown-Weber of Danville; a son, Stuart A. Crown of Reston, Va.; a sister, Dorothy Noweles of Fremont, Ohio; a brother, Ronald Crown of Amarillo, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Centenary United Methodist Church by the Rev. Don Benningfield.
Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will follow the funeral at the church.
Memorials may to the church and Alzheimer's Association.

Mary D. Eberts
Mary Belle Dye Eberts, 94, died Sunday at Charleston Health Care Center.
Born March 29, 1908, in Kings Mountain, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Nancy Mitchell Dye. She was a former employee of Hub Frankel and Parks-Belk department stores. She was a charter member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church and the widow of Richard "Dick" Eberts.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Kraemer of Griffin, Ga., and Sue Rimel of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Cash and a son, Richard Eberts.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. George E. Dye. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Barbara Rankin, Patty Burke, Sueann Rice, Milton Cash, Mary Louise Camp, Bill Kraemer, Beth West and Charlotte Willis, Honorary pallbearers are Larry Cash, Jack Kraemer and Warden Rimel.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Iona V. McChord
Iona Varney McChord, 89, of Lexington died Nov. 12 at Cambridge Place Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 31, 1913, in Norton, Va., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Renia Dean Varney. She was a 1935 graduate of Kentucky School for the Deaf.
Survivors include two sons, Ed McChord of Lexington and Winfield McChord of Buffalo, N.Y., who was a KSD superintendent 1970-81; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack McChord.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born June 6, 1929, in Marion County, she as the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Miller Spalding. She was the widow of Billy T. Wilson. She was a retired Boyle County teacher, and was a member of Perryville Baptist Church and Boyle County Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Ann Wilson of West Point; a sister, Imogene Hancock of Mount Washington; nieces and nephews.

HARRODSBURG -- Leroy Campbell, 76, formerly of Mercer County died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1926, in Woodford County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Betty Moore Campbell. He was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Campbell and Brian Campbell, both of Burgin; a daughter, Carolyn Brummett of Bowling Green; a brother, Bill Campbell of Georgetown; a sister, Martha McMillen of Danville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Mike Hamby. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
