LIBERTY -- Maude Adeline Simpson, 73, of Liberty died Thursday at her home.
Born Sept. 6, 1927, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Nellie Evans Gilpin. She was a teacher for 42 years in Casey County and a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Dana Cochran of Liberty; a son, Clyde J. Foxx of Hillsboro, Ohio; a brother, Arnold Gilpin of Liberty; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Dwight Coffman, Jeff Edwards and Phillip Patton. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Edgar N. Cummins
MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- Edgar N. Cummins, 81, of Martinsville died Wednesday at Grandview Convalescent Center.
Born Jan. 28, 1919, in the Ellisburg community of Casey County, he was a son of the late Willis F. and Willie Ann Brown Cummins. He was a retired bricklayer and a member of First Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Eileen Knoy Cummins; a son, Michael Cummins of Martinsville; two daughters, Patricia Koons of Martinsville and Jacqueline Johnson of Indianapolis; a sister, Sarah Staggs of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal & Summers Mortuary. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, Ind.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Forrest H. Patrick
FRANKFORT -- Forrest Harrington Patrick, 84, of Frankfort died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 8, 1916, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late Major H. and Dora Cooper Patrick. He was a retired federal and state employee having worked with the Veterans Administration and Social Security Administration. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars 4075 and was a Boy Scout leader.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Sluss Patrick; a daughter, Sharon P. Clark of Danville; a son, Bob Patrick of Winchester; a sister, Faye Singleton of Frankfort; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home by the Revs. Philip Kazee, Odis Clark and Rick Stone. Burial will be in Frankfort Cemetery with military rites.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.

She died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 7, 1914, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Sleet and Cordie Alford Demaree. She was a retired employee of Cricketeer Manufacturing Co., and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She was the widow of James M. Bradshaw.
Survivors include a son, Forrest B. Bradshaw of Harrodsburg; a sister, Virginia Lentini of Louisville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James I. Bradshaw.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Burns, Terry Myers, Kerry Anness, Art Freeman, Mike Matherly and Donnie Jackson.

BRODHEAD -- Myrtle May DeBoard Howard, 78, of Fairfield, formerly of Brodhead, died Tuesday.
Born April 3, 1922, in Brodhead, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Birdie Brummett DeBoard. She was a retired employee of Proctor and Gamble Co., and a member of Liberty Street Pentecostal Church in Cincinnati. She was the widow of John J. Howard.
Survivors include a daughter, Deb Howard-Thompson of Georgetown; three brothers, Johnny DeBoard of Brodhead and Sam and Albert DeBoard both of Williamsburg, Ohio; six sisters, Rena Osborne and Lula Wallin of Crab Orchard, Jewel Haarman and Betty Moore, both of Brodhead, Birdie DeBoard of Mount Vernon and Marie Alsip of Cincinnati; and two grandsons.

LUDLOW -- Alice Faye Delk Mahan, 62, of Newport, formerly of Ludlow, died Tuesday at her home.
She was a retired librarian and a member of Ludlow First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Steve and Mike Ransdell, both of Salvisa, and Danny Ransdell of Lawrenceburg; a brother, Everett Ransdell of Grand Junction, Colo.; a sister, Alma Baker of Winchester; a companion, Kay McPherson of Visalia; and 10 grandchildren.
