Minnie B. Buford
Minnie Bell "Pearl" Buford, 46, of Lexington died Friday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Born June 2, 1956, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of Stella V. Buford of Lancaster and the late James Buford. She was a member of St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include a stepfather, James R. Boatley; two daughters, Dee Leavell and Samantha Buford, both of Lexington; a son, Cecil Buford of Frankfort; four brothers, Kenneth Pullins and Robert Boatley, both of Garrard County, and James Buford and Elvis Buford, both of Boyle County; five sisters, Beatrice Logan and Renne Hood, both of Garrard County, and Evonne Buford, Ida Dobson and Lisa Buford, all of Lexington; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Lenville O. Taylor
Lenville Olen Taylor, 77, of Lannock Road died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 19, 1925, in Whitley City, he was a son of the late Sidney and Lucy Barnett Taylor. He was a retired Corning Glass employee, serving as department manager in maintenance and electrical, former president of Flint Glass Workers of America, Local 1009, a retired member of the Navy and a member of the original crew of the USS Hancock, a graduate of McCreary County High School, a 50-year member of Franklin Lodge No. 28, F&AM;, a member of Oleika Shrine, and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Durham Taylor; two daughters, Kay Taylor Pender of Columbia, S.C., and Lynn Taylor Tye of Danville; a brother, Allen Taylor of Whitley City; two sisters, Flora Jean Kelly of Ludlow and Charlene Lewis of Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church.

HARRODSBURG -- Graveside services for Braydon Sky Xavier Caleb Lee Jones, 2 months, were Saturday in Maple Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby L. Potts.
Born Aug. 3, 2002, he was the son of Richard Caleb Rose and Nicarra Jones, both of Harrodsburg.
Additional survivors include his maternal grandparents, Harold Coleman of Springfield and Linda Jones of Harrodsburg; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Jo Ann Rose of Harrodsburg; two great-grandmothers, Hazel Majors of Harrodsburg and Carolyn Coleman of Springfield; and a sister, Hannah Jones of Harrodsburg.

Mayme J. Penman
Mayme Joyce Penman, 58, of Indianapolis, formerly of Danville, died Monday in Indianapolis.
She was the daughter of the late William and Alma Penman.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy and Leslie Williams of Indianapolis; a son, Chad Williams of Indianapolis; three sisters, Alma Gross of Lexington, Mae Turner of Dayton, Ohio, and Elois Turner of Maywood, Ill.; two brothers, George C. Penman of Kansas City, Mo., and Calvin Penman of Indianapolis.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Crown Hill Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Herschel Peavler
SPRINGFIELD -- Herschel Peavler, 95, of Mackville died Tuesday in Mackville.
Born April 22, 1907, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Will and Mary Jane Camden Peavler. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mackville Baptist Church. He was the widower of Ruby Bugg Peavler.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Peavler of Mackville; two daughters, JoAnn Smith of Mount Washington and Judy Jenkins of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Carey & Son Funeral Home by the Rev. David Gifford. Burial will be in Peter Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Damon Brown, David Jenkins, Joe Peavler, Ronnie Baker, Adam White and Blair Pittman.

Services for Albert Jackson Meade, 93, formerly of Maple Avenue will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Thomas K. Farmer. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
He died Tuesday at Charleston Health Care Center.

Albert J. Meade
Albert Jackson Meade, 93, formerly of Maple Avenue, died Tuesday at Charleston Health Care Center.
Meade had served as chairman of the Boyle County Republican Party in the 1970s.
He had been owner of Meade Hardware Store in Harrodsburg. After his retirement from the hardware store, he looked after real estate interests in Danville and Harrodsburg.
Meade was a graduate of Ashland High School where he played two years on championship football teams. He was a 1933 graduate of Centre College, and received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, Oleika Shrine Temple and all Masonic bodies. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church.
Born Aug. 28, 1908, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late Wannie C. and Mary Alice Wheeler Meade. He was the widower of Lucy Hayward Meade.
Survivors include two daughters, Sallie M. Howard of Frankfort and Lucy M. Howe of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, J. Stephen Meade of Danville; two sisters, Chloe M. Baker of Harrodsburg and Nola M. LaMaster of Chillicothe, Ohio; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Meade Jr., and a granddaughter.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at The Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

LANCASTER -- Betty Irene Talbott, 80, of Hyden died Monday at Baptist Regional Hospital in Corbin.
Born Dec. 24, 1921, in Rockcastle County, she was the daughter of the late Arlie and Nellie Taylor Talbott. She was a member of Bryantsville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Harry E. Talbott of Arkansas; and four sisters, Jeanette Hoskins, Freda Preston and Faye Preston, all of Mitchellsburg, and Christine Townsend of Lawrenceburg.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ramsey Funeral Home by Bryce McCulley. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Rockcastle County.

She died Saturday at her home.
Born Aug. 26, 1966, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Linda Sims Patterson of Walltown and the late Domer Patterson. She was a former licensed practical nurse, having worked at Garrard County Memorial and Fort Logan hospitals. She was a 1984 graduate of Casey County High School and a member of Walltown Christian Church.
Other survivors include her daughter, Mikayla R. Durham of Walltown; and a brother, John E. Haddix of Walltown.
Pallbearers will be Dustin and Justin Adams and Scott, Mike, Ray, Steven and Anthony Sims.
