HARRODSBURG -- Services for Nancy Kathryn Young, 89, of Boone Street will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James Harley.
Burial will be in Mount Freedom Cemetery, Washington County.
She died Monday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born April 10, 1913, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Effie Lay Young.
She was a member of Mount Freedom Church and attended Fellowship Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include a niece, Barbara Jo Y. Faith of Harrodsburg; and two great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Meredith, Ernest Mobley, Leo Lay, Thomas Sanders Jr., Marvin Osbourn and John Hawes.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

Grace N. Hamlin
Grace Nancy Hamlin, 91, of Charleston Health Care Center died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1911, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Murphy Williams.
She was a retired restaurant manager in Winter Park, Fla., and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was the widow of Donald W. Hamlin.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas Hamner.
Survivors include three sisters, Gladys Caddell and Helen Anderson, both of Danville, and Hazel Thomas of Saint George, Utah; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial may go to the Danville-Boyle County Rescue Squad or the Lions Club eyebank.

Christine C. Bishop
HARRODSBURG -- Christine Curtsinger Bishop, 87, of Bonny Lynn Drive died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born July 17, 1915, in Gravel Switch, she was the daughter of the late John and Hattie Curtsinger.
She was the widow of Howard Lee Bishop.
She was a retired seamstress at Mercer Dress Co. and a member of Magnolia Street Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie Bishop of Salvisa, Don Bishop of Springdale, Ark., and Robert Bishop of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Russell Curtsinger of Harrodsburg and J.T. Curtsinger of Orlando, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Matthew Alha.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Vadis G. Godbey
LIBERTY -- Vadis Glenn Godbey, 74, of Alpharetta, Ga., died Saturday at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Ga.
Born July 31, 1928, in Bethelridge, he was the son of the late William O. and Leora Wesley Godbey.
A veteran of the Air Force, he was a retired lieutenant colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Dennison Godbey; a brother, Therman Godbey of Bethelridge; and a sister, Audrey Callaham of New Carlisle, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethelridge United Methodist Church by the Rev. Brian Janes.
Burial will be in Bethelridge Cemetery.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Services for Fannie Alice Guthrie, 102, formerly of Alta Avenue, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Thomas K. Farmer.
Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
She died Friday at the Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.
Born Jan. 15, 1900, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Myrtle Johnson Ellis.
She was the widow of Henry L. Guthrie, a homemaker, and member of The Presbyterian Church.
She also was active in a Boyle County homemakers club.
Survivors include a son, H. Lee Guthrie of Wilmore, a daughter, Jean Guthrie Whanger of Knoxville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Guthrie.
Pallbearers will be Lee Whanger, Tom, Brad and Earl Guthrie, and Zachary, Matthew and Phillip Henry.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

HARRODSBURG -- Services for Allie M. Gayton, 91, of Milton, Mass, formerly of Harrodsburg, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Little Zion Baptist Church in Burgin with Phillip A. Yates officiating.
Burial will be in Robinson Roe Cemetery in Burgin.
She died Saturday in Massachusetts.
Born Feb. 11, 1911, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Annie Penman and William Gayton Sr.
She attended Bate High School in Danville and was a caregiver for the family of Robert Spenlinhauer for more than 51 years.
She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church and served in the Loyal Benevolent Society.
Survivors include a brother, William Gayton Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters. Anna Wilma Campbell of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jewell Lay of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Hollie Sr.
Pallbearers will be C.L. Bartleson, Roy Cochran, James Dunn and Leon Gooch.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Albert W. Bodner, 41, of Junction City died Friday at his home.
Born Dec. 19, 1960, he was the son of Linnie Irene Bodner of Danville and the late John Matthew Bodner. He was a roofer.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Propes Bodner; a daughter, Christie Lamb of Berea; two sisters, Lottie Snead of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Jearline Greer of Louisville; and two brothers, Marvin Bodner of Junction City and John Bodner Jr. of Danville.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul McFarland. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Bodner, David Lee Bodner, Kenneth Thomas, John Paul Bodner, Steven Lamb and David Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be the John Bodner roofing crew.
